Sagremor, Sword Master of a Thousand Blades moved forward closer to the opposition's defensive positions.

On the direction where he was heading, soldiers were pointing their guns at him from behind the sandbags. On their faces were fear and confusion, that's because what just happened is still fresh to them.

Soldiers stared at him with eyes of fear, their hands shaking as they hold their weapons close and firm. The soldiers were trying to decide whether to shoot Sagremor or not as he approaches. On the former, in their hearts they wanted to shoot him down, however, they lack the courage to do it after witnessing they came unscathed after all of the attacks they gave to them. Well as for the latter, they are already doing it, fear was crawling through them and that what made them freeze.

Sagremor stopped walking to say something.

"Come on humans, you could at least fight back a little. It feels kind of empty when no one's shooting at me, come now and show some resolve."

Sagremor peered at them but showed no signs of change, seeing this he got a little irritated then he added his words loudly.

"Aren't you supposed to be soldiers? Then be one, fight the enemy right in front of you, be the warrior that you are, or is it that you people chose to be cowards instead? Then there's no point in you for being soldiers. You have no place to go, no escape, so there's no choice but to fight!"

The soldiers shrugged after the words of Sagremor, and then some of them lowered their heads as they thought about that Sagremor said.

Then a high ranking soldier voiced out from their radios – it was their general.

"Soldiers! Muster some courage, the courage to defend our home, the courage to bring peace to us once again. Do not let fear consume you! The enemies are in front of us, which means we can shoot them. Do not let them do what they want! Our peaceful lives will return when they are gone, so soldiers, fight until your last breath, do not lose hope! Fight for your friends and family!"

"HOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!"

"WE WILL NOT GIVE UP!"

"WE'LL FIGHT FOR OUR FAMILY AND OUR HOMETOWN!"

All of the soldiers shouted showing their resolve.

Then Sagremor said inside his mind.

That's good resolve. But I'm afraid your hope is for naught. You will all fail. No one shall survive.

Their master has stepped foot in the area around the town with the intent of destroying their beloved town for unknown reasons. But he is their master, so the guardians thought that their master must have a wise and important reason, they don't have to understand everything but only to follow him even to the ends of the earth. In addition, if the master has the intent of destroying anything, it is expected that it will be destroyed.

The human soldiers have gained their resolve and motivation to fight against their enemy.

The soldiers in front of Sagremor tightly gripped their weapons and aimed at him.

The tank in front of him turned its turret and pointed at Sagremor, the soldier atop of it using the machine gun also aimed at him.

"FIRE!"

A high ranking officer shouted in their ranks and everyone complied.

Every soldier pulled the trigger and rapid fire of bullets and magic particles flew towards Sagremor, however, he knew their attacks are pointless against him.

Before the projectiles could ever touch his armor, the bullets fell to the ground and the magic particles disappeared.

"The master said to hold back, so I will. Your attacks are not hurting me anyway."

The tank was loaded and fired its cannon towards Sagremor.

As the projectile hit him it blew up and smoke began to cover his sights, of course, he is unscathed.

Annoyed by the smoke, he swept it off with his hand and with ease the smoke scattered.

"Annoying little cra—."

Another attack from the tank came and once again the smoke from the explosion blocked his sight. Again, he swept it off.

"Stop that!" He said while raising his fist.

And once again an attack came from the tank and blocked his sight then once again he swept if off.

"B-Bastard! I have enough of you. [Blade Impalement]!"

In an instant blades rose from the ground under the tank that kept shooting Sagremor on the face.

The blades were like a blade of a sword, there were numerous that have risen from the ground, and were sharp enough to easily pierce the thick and hard armor of the tank. The blades were long enough to penetrate the entire tank and the top edges were exposed on the top of the tank. With that said, the soldiers inside also died of several blade impalement.

The soldiers behind the sandbags and trenches were shocked by the scene of impalement but still with their motivation and morale they continued to open fire at Sagremor.

Sagremor shifted his sights to the soldiers and he smiled a little.

He waved first his right hand and a black sword flew out flying towards a soldier, and in like a second it pierced its target. Then he waved his left hand and the same thing happened and the blade pierced its target.

Realizing doing it like this would take a lot of time in killing several enemies, Sagremor decided to change his method of attack.

He moved his right hand inward to his chest, and seven swords appeared out of thin air in front of him. The swords' edges were pointed outward and are positioned in a 140-degree circle angle – in other words, it's like almost half of a circle.

Then in a swift, he waved his hand outward and with it, the swords flew away towards where they were pointed at.

Some swords hit and pierced a single target, some double, some triple. Of course with before the swords could hit its target it first destroyed the sandbags or other protection like barriers in its way.

Sagremor observed his enemies and he saw a lot of enemies are still standing and shooting him.

"Looks like I'll have to do this the old fashion way."

If he just going to throw swords all the time it would only take more time. Also, it would be a waste of mana and effort.

Using his skills like conjuring a sword cost a bit of mana, and using it against the humans would be a little waste. Thus, he decided to fight them close.

Sagremor conjured a pair of black swords and held each with both his hands. Of course, those swords were just made from his skill and not the ones his master gave him. Using those sacred swords given by his creator against the humans is not necessary at all.

Sagremor changed his stance in a ready to jump position. Then he leaped towards the back of the opposition's defenses.

As he landed it gave a little impact on the ground, then he immediately swung his swords around slashing every enemy near him.

Some were cut open, some were cut in half and so on.

He then ran towards any enemy he sees and immediately swung his sword to the enemy when he gets in range.

He waved and flourished his swords around gracefully like he is a master of it. Well, in fact, he is a master of swords.

He cut his enemies smoothly and swiftly like the wind and swinging his sword with ease.

The soldiers tried to shoot him before he gets near but it was to no avail.

He would still get near them like it was nothing.

Some have run away from him but they didn't get to run even for fifteen seconds and got cut down.

A soldier fell down as he ran away and the soldier tried to crawl away leaving his weapon behind. Sagremor saw him and then he walked towards the soldier.

The soldier tried everything he can, he used all his hands and legs' strength to crawl away from Sagremor. Indeed he can just stand up and run, but he was in a panic for death is coming for him.

The soldier looked back and saw a full plated warrior walking towards him. As he saw him the soldier panicked even more.

He turned his body to face the warrior and frantically reached for his pistol. As he got hold of it, he immediately pointed it at the Sagremor and pulled the trigger, continuously shooting him. But the bullets just fell to the ground, the soldier knows it won't affect him though, but the soldier still chose to shoot Sagremor because it was part of his survival instinct.

When Sagremor got close the crawling soldier, he plunged his sword to the soldier's chest. The hands of the soldier fell to the ground like a puppet whose strings have been cut.

Sagremor then looked around and saw chaos then explosions and more. In a few distances, his fellow guardians are also engaging the enemy.

He smiled under his helm.

"Looks like they're doing great, then I won't lose myself against them. I'll do more damage here than them, hahaha."
