The Activity of Jess (Part 1)

Jess went to see Lisianthus.

Nedhand and Herz. Though they are safe now, I can’t guarantee they will be in the future.

It was Lisianthus who could solve this situation.

“I have a favor to ask.” (Jess)

“What’s the matter?” (Lisianthus)

“For me, two important people have gone out and are in danger not too far away from here. Can you help me safely bring them back to the Elven Forest?”

[Are the people who came with this little guy in danger?] (Lisianthus)

Lisianthus was not a virtuous elf to accept easily because he had been sincerely asked.

As a high elf who has lived a very long time and mischievously fooled around as much as a human, he knew how to use the weak point of the demand.

“Why should I?” (Lisianthus)

“Their life is in crisis.” (Jess)

“They are not elves. Moreover, they are not my friends.” (Lisianthus)

“I learned that all life is precious regardless of race. Is it not Sir Lisianthus who especially loves the animals in the forest?” (Jess)

“Since you people are so fond of meat I do not think you should be saying that. Fine. In exchange for the hassle of me helping you, let’s increase the archery training time to seven hours a day.” (Lisianthus)

“It will be too great a pain for me being so young. There is a saying in the human world that proper training produces the best results. And no elves are so cruelly trained.” (Jess)

“As I live my judgment on humans is turned on its head, and they are very good at that. I’ll not have you make any further noise.” (Lisianthus)

Jess inevitably agreed to the increased training time.

Anyway, he should train to learn how to shoot a bow in preparation for the future. When he really wants to rest, he can go to the other world, rest, and then come back.

Because he is living as an elementary school student he still has a lot room to play.

Thanks to that, even if he had lengthy harsh training every day, his concentration was not disturbed.

“Let’s go.” (Jess)

“Why even you? You can wait in the woods.” (Lisianthus)

“Though it’s something I asked you to do, I can’t stay behind.” (Jess)

“Hmm. If that’s the case……. Follow me.” (Lisianthus)

Jess knew how strong of an elf Lisianthus was.

He believed that no matter the situation, nothing bad will happen if he was with him.

Because of that faith he felt, he planned to see the outside world for the time first time in a while.

-:¦:–:¦:–:¦:–:¦:–:¦:–:¦:-

“There are quite a few monsters.” (Jess)

Jess exited the Elven Forest with Lisianthus.

Drinking in the breath of the forest where vegetation sprouted, he discovered monsters passing through plains and mountains.

There are about two meter giants with dark blue skin, with saliva dribbling down.

Lisianthus knew their identity.

“They are of the Phraison tribe. Those guys are unpleasant. They appeared in the vicinity before we knew it.” (Lisianthus)

“What are you going to do?” (Jess)

Jess and Lisianthus lowered their body and hid on a hill.

“There are a cluster of about 700 of them. I do not want to waste precious arrows. Let’s avoid them.” (Lisianthus)

“Yep!” (Jess)

Lisianthus could shoot mana as an arrow as well as real arrows.

Though kumdo can’t cause damage to the skin of the Phraison tribe, if it’s his mana arrow it could pierce and shatter it.

Lisianthus chose to go back because it was just troublesome to take a life.

The elves who do not enjoy killing do not go anywhere.

I wanted to see a good sight…….

Jess left with a little reluctance and took a detour far away.

The expected battle from following Lisianthus did not happen easily.

[In the old days, my friends and I had killed off a lot of the Phrasen tribe. About 8,000 a day were killed at that time. Let us suppress as much useless killing as possible.] (Lisianthus)

“Keureuk. Human flesh is the most delicious.” (Phraison 1) (Darknari: I’m guessing this is a growling noise?)

“Rather than eating grilled meat isn’t raw meat dripping in juices better?” (Phraison 2)

“It can’t compare to eating a thoroughly stewed female elf.” (Phraison 3)

“That really was delicious.” (Phraison 2)

The Phraison tribe were scattered about and on the alert.

Lisianthus’s vision was very good and his hearing was even more sensitive.

“They’re nasty as ever.” (Lisianthus)

“Yes?” (Jess)

“Children do not need to know. I would have swept them away if I had just been a few years younger.” (Lisianthus)

Those who destroyed the Volgen Castle are Rogenak’s army!

It was the work of Rogenak, the fifth Imperial prince of the Gras Empire, that drew in the Phraison tribe.

“We have to go quite a ways around these guys if we don’t want to be spotted and that will take some time. If you become tired, tell me and I’ll carry you on my back.” (Lisianthus)

“That’s all right.” (Jess)

He did not know what kind of spectacle will happen, but he won’t be that child that is frequently carried on someone’s back.

He experienced that enough when he was young to be sick of it.

“Then I will walk quickly so follow along well. I do not want to delay my time too much…….” (Lisianthus)

[If those guys obstruct us, I’m not going to avoid them and I’ll just kill them all.] (Lisianthus)

The compassion and perseverance of a high elf vanished after speaking of the Phraison tribe.

Another Phraison tribe patrol was wandering around. In the wide plains, they had to go a long way to avoid them.

Lisianthus took out his bow from his back.

It was a long wooden bow with beautiful decorations.

“Let’s go through here.” (Lisianthus)

As predicted by Jess, Lisianthus shoots without placing an arrow on the bowstring.

Pusyusyuk! (Darknari: mana arrows flying)

Eight heads of the Phraison tribe patrol who roamed were hit nearly at the same time and they fell to the ground.

It was shortly after Lisianthus was pointing at the enemies and the string flicked.

“Let’s go a little bit to the right.” (Lisianthus)

[I do not want to show this kind of brutality to a child. Because young human children sometimes have a keen sensitivity.] (Lisianthus)

He did not penetrate the head or body with mana arrows, but tore asunder the inside of the body.

Hell yeah…… this is a bow!

Jess, who was about 300 meters away, had already witnessed the Phraison tribe patrol collapse.

He had a lot of anticipation about what he would do from the time he took out his bow.

…! Awesome. I also expected something like this!

A pure and innocent child, such a thing only exists in fairy tales!

Lisianthus silently removed the Phraison tribe patrol, which became an obstacle whenever they moved.

[The signaling system is poor. It will take time for the bodies to be found. Until then, we will be able to go beyond this and into the mountains.] (Lisianthus)

Elves are not afraid of any enemy in a place with many trees.

Lisianthus was a mighty enemy even if he was besieged by the Phraison tribe in the plains.

Actually, if we were to take a further detour and moved after the patrol crossed by, it should have been enough to pass through as it is now night.

However, Lisianthus, who had no concern at all, wiped out the scouts and broke through with force.

Quickly find us.

Jess wanted the Phraison tribe to quickly discover their dead colleagues. Only then will things escalate.

Did you say the Phraison tribe? What are they doing? Is there a meaning to such a disorganized reconnaissance?

Unfortunately for Jess who was looking forward to it, nothing happened as they passed through them.

When Lisianthus nimbly nocked his bow, far away enemies were shot at the same time without a sound and would fall like toys.

Because the other patrols who had become obstacles have been also suppressed almost at the same time, they were able to go to the Proeh Canyon safely.

TL Note:
Lisianthus is one bad-ass elf!
