Sitting back down at the table Azreal picked up the notebook that had most of its pages missing, they looked like they'd been ripped out.

Opening the book and skipping past the remnants of the ripped out pages, Azreal stopped at the first page with writing on it.

''——there are millions of smaller pocket spaces all over this realm, maybe if I can figure out a way to access them on call I could create a weapon that can pass through them, I would become virtually unstoppable, maybe then my tribe could live in peace''

Although the majority of the page was gone the basic idea remained.

"So this workshop belongs to the guy who was in the drawing?"

Skipping to next set of writings it was the same thing, majority of the page was missing.

"—-After experimenting for over two years I'm still no closer to figuring out how to access them on command, every formula I've come up with so far have all fallen short in one way or another may—-"

"What are you trying to hide?"

The parts that were ripped out seemed like the contained important information about the process he went through.

"I've figured it out! It was so simple I feel ashamed that it took me this long, four years! Everything is connected but separate, my previous formulas were always operating under the guise that they were individuals, separate not connected in any way! But they are, Energy is the connection between them! I was able to access them on demand by drawing diagrams on the ground beneath me that would draw in energy, since at my current level I'm unable to manipulate it myself"

This was the first completed page he came across, after reading it his mind instantly went to what happened with Xavious earlier, so he quickly flipped to the next page with information.

03/01/0019

"I perfected it…. previously I tried to incorporate the diagrams that would draw in energy into the formula but unfortunately it backfired, I was stuck in one of the pocket spaces for over ten years!! The environment was horrible, it's impossible to sustain life in there, if not for me resorting to eating the energy crystals I would've died there but from every disaster comes something great. The energy crystals wreaked havoc in my body destroying several key meridians but from this and the harshness of the environment in a matter of slightly over ten years, I've touched upon a realm that my ancestors only dreamed of!! Hahaha alas, a disaster is still a disaster I'm still not able to wield nether energy as I should, my body can only store very little of it, even my core is damaged. I truly envy the Gods——-Maybe I can create a body of sorts and see if I can access those space again?"

"Well, that explains the body" Azreal too a quick glance at the cadaver before going back to the book.

A huge chunk of the page was missing, he could only ignore it.

06/01/0021

"I've cleared out a territory for my tribe, due to my prowess they've started to refer to me as the Empyrean Wolf King, I'm not sure if I like it but the more powerful your name the safer your loved ones are, so I've renamed my tribe to the Empyrean Wolves so my name will always be there"

05/12/0026

"I don't intend to stay here any longer, I've taught them what I'm able to, I'm going out in search of a cure for the damage to my body——-I met a traveler a few years ago, after speaking for quite some time we realized we had a lot in common, it didn't take long for us to become friends, through him I've learned more about the realm —that I've called my home for so long —than I ever thought possible, he said he was a member of the Her Majesty's personal guard and if I was ever interested I should come to the capital and find him, 'dragons need to fly, they should never crawl' he told me"

Azreal had thought there would be mention of what happened to the body or some hint as to what the formula was but it seemed like Wolf King ripped out all the important pages.

07/12/0030

"—-A thought has occurred to me, that space that I was in for all those years, wouldn't it be amazing if there were hundreds of other spaces like those? If so would that mean that there must be some that could sustain life? Even if only for an instant? With the formula I've created now all my weapon can do is ignore distance and space but imagine if it was possible to do that with your physical body? Sure there are some who can move so fast that it seems like teleportation but a trace of their aura and or scent would always be there but using those pocket spaces I could completely erase myself and go into one of them, from there I could use my original formula to ignore space and all you would see is a sword through your stomach with no idea where it from!! Yes!! This shall be my goal!"

Reading the paragraph Azreal sucked in a breath of cold air, if The Wolf King was able to achieve who would be able to stand in his path?

Would he become a king of the battlefield?

Taking that moment for his thoughts he went back to reading the rest of that page.

"My thoughts might be a bit difficult to follow but whoever is reading this come and find me, hopefully, by then I would've figured this out and if you are to my liking I will give you a hint and let you figure out the rest yourself, I highly doubt you are one of my tribesmen since they hold me in such high regard akin to something holy I don't think there will come a day when any one of them is willing to enter here, I suppose my sword will rot forever until some like yourself comes along and steals it"

Reading that part of the page Azreal couldn't stop himself from feeling like crap.

"Great I get some useless books and the chance to enjoy the company of the angry wolves outside and the snake get the sword, seems fair"

Turning his attention back to the book he continued reading, this was the last entry.

"I suppose no matter how good a weapon is it would eventually turn useless overtime in the other book is a copy of the formula I used—-"

Azreal tossed the book aside—he didn't care what else was in there— and picked up the other notebook to find the formula.

Unfortunately just like the clothes the moment he opened the book, before he could even get a proper look at the formula the book turned to dust in his hands.

Azreal sat there like a statue, staring at the dust in his hands.

"Wha—How—Why—?"

Slowly turning his attention to the book that was now on the ground and reading the final paragraph, the urge to burn this entire tomb down felt impossible to deny.

"—- and as well as the items I used to create the weapon, if you can find stronger substitutes use them instead so long as it doesn't affect the formula, if the book should wither away before you can use it then it is fate hahaha!"

I am the Empyrean Wolf King
