Alliance Capital.

A tall slightly fat dark-skinned man walked into the throne room, observing everything in the room as he walked closer to the throne.

His dreads bounced a little as he walked, looking at the map of alliance right behind the throne, he didn't smile—in fact, he took no joy in his conquest.

His entire body gave off a feeling akin to a lone wolf, in his eyes being a king wasn't something great, being a king was akin to being a hero and so long as he had a choice he would choose not to do it.

Stepping up to the throne and taking a seat he couldn't help but smile, it was hard to deny the feeling that sitting on a throne provided.

"And look how badly he was complaining before" from the door to the throne room two men walked in both of them smiling.

"Miel, Dahvid" he greeted with a smile.

"So how does it feel?"

The man on the throne didn't answer instead changed the topic while walking towards them.

"Has anyone found Rodney or Earlon?"

The smiles on Dahvid and Miel's face shrunk a little as they shook their head.

"Not yet"

Without any warning Raglan—the man started laughing.

"Hahaha, normally we'd take what we want and then dash but now we actually have to stay in this place to gather up the resources needed"

As Raglan spoke he rubbed the creases in his forehead, all of this stress stemmed from one thought.

Raglan didn't believe that the world they lived in was really the world of God, in all honesty, he didn't believe that they were Gods, all they are were powerful beings and nothing more, they had no control over anything that really happened around them if anything they were no different from the creatures in the lower realm in the eyes of the true Gods.

This thought started popping up in his mind a long time ago but he couldn't find any proof to support it but because he had been operating with that thought in mind a lot of things that he never paid attention to before started standing out to him.

None of the 'Gods' he's come across has surpassed the True God level—and he's hunted a lot of them— why was that when they clearly knew about Gods like Death, Light, Fate etc? 'Gods' here even worshiped them creating factions, why would a God need to pray to anyone?

Throughout his research he's come across stories of people breaking the bonds and stepping into a new realm, although the stories were few and far in between there will always be some truth to myths and legends besides in every one of the stories where they break those bonds they disappear, where could they go if not a higher plane of existence?

Standing beneath others wasn't something that he felt comfortable doing, it was only after researching extensively did he finally find something that supposed his idea, it wasn't a lot but it was enough.

Although the story of the war between the Gods and Demons is rarely ever told, he managed to hear a part of the story by accident and through the entire thing storyteller kept saying the Lord Of Light and his armies descended to fight—descended from where?

Thinking about all of this was only making his head hurt until he had everything he needed thinking about it would only make him feel stagnant.

Just as he was about to speak to Miel and Dahvid he heard footsteps approaching so he broke away from his thoughts and looked up.

"Raglan" Ellaena greeted with a smile.

Raglan nodded in greeting showing a polite smile.

"Congratulations are in order!"

His smile still remained as he opened his mouth to speak.

"Thank you for your ass—"

Another step of hurried footsteps ran in an interrupted him.

The armored woman who ran in quickly made a gesture of respect by bumping her closed fist on her chest but didn't kneel.

"We found the two bodies!"

Once she said that Raglan nodded, she didn't need to explain further, turning back his attention to Ellaena who released a sigh of relief.

"Did you really hate him that much?"

When she heard that her face turned slightly ugly.

"Yes! If it wasn't for him my son would still be alive!"

When Raglan heard that his smile instantly faded.

"You have three days to leave Alliance, if you're willing to join up with your husband's enemies to have him killed there's no telling what you would do to me when there are no familial ties between us, I can't have someone I can't trust this close to me"

Ellaena's fingernails dug into her skin as she clenched her fist, as she was about to speak Raglan raised his hand to stop her.

"Three days, your entire family. A second over and I'll personally come and uproot your entire family, to protect myself not even the children much less the pregnant will be spared"

A while back he'd met up with Ellaena who wanted him to kill her husband at first he wanted to refuse but after speaking with Dahvid and Miel he decided to accept since having the resources of an entire kingdom at his disposal would make things easier.

Not for one second did he intend to keep her around, in fact, he wanted to kill her but it's not very nice to repay kindness with evil.

After saying that he and Miel and Dahvid left the throne room, once outside he took a deep breath —ignoring the chaos that was happening in the city— and released a sigh and went back to organize his future movements.
