With a dark expression like he just ate a plate of shit Xavious spoke through gritted teeth.

"Kakar will be here soon"

"Where to now Master?" Azreal asked Xavious in a respectful tone.

Hearing that Xavious looked even angrier, walking up to the cashier he stiffly asked the cost, when he heard the response he looked at Azreal and the others viscously swearing to kill them one day.

After reluctantly taking care of the bill they were taken to the back room where they could enjoy refreshments while they waited.

Averie kept playing with the clothes and jewelry she got, over the course of the journey they hadn't spoken about what they planned to do with her at all but silently Azreal and Xavious came to the agreement that it was Nala's problem.

...

They relaxed in the back room for over an hour before they heard a knocking on the door.

"Come"

As the door opened one of the store attendants pushed in her head.

"Your guest is here"

By the time she finished saying that Kakar pushed open the door in a full suit of armor, he held the door open for a woman in a yellow dress to walk in.

As she walked in Azreal recognized her as the lioness from Sow.

Once she stepped inside and took a seat Kakar closed the door behind her.

"Hey!" Azreal greeted with a smile.

"You guys look well, who are these two lovely ladies" Kakar smiled and looked at the Averie as he spoke.

"Nala" the lioness spoke with a smile as she looked over at Nala.

When Kakar heard that he was surprised, Azreal and Xavious could only smile.

Looks like they know each other.

When she was greeted Nala the lioness slowly took a humanoid form her long golden hair and eyes looked like they were shining, as she changed her appearance so too did Nala.

"So she's the one that your brother is supposed to marry wow, I'm a bit jealous" Kakar spoke while looking at Nala from head to toe.

"Sabali" Nala greeted back with a smile.

"This is a pleasant surprise I didn't expect that you'd be here"

"It wasn't planned" Nala laughed a little as she spoke.

"How do you know each other?" Kakar couldn't suppress his curiosity.

They all looked at each other not sure where to start so Xavious took the wheel and shamelessly told a version of the story that didn't make him look like a criminal sell out, Azreal didn't disagree with him since he wasn't sure what would happen if they knew the truth.

When the story of how they met Averie came up the room became covered in a heavy silence for almost a minute.

When they told the story Averie went quiet and just sat in a corner.

Taking a deep breath Sabali smiled and broke the silence.

"Let's head back to the house it'd be more convenient to speak there, besides I'm sure my little brother will be overjoyed to see his future bride"

As she turned to leave and Kakar stepped in front of her to open the door she returned to her previous form and so did Nala.

Walking out of the store every one bowed slightly as Sabali walked past them, she didn't speak only showing a faint smile as she stepped into the carriage.

In the carriage although Nala showed a neutral expression she wasn't very happy with the current turn of events, the very thing she wanted to take her mind off of she was being brought towards and to think she thought she would enjoy the city without him finding out.

In just a few turns the carriage was passing through the gates of a huge estate.

When the carriage stopped Kakar released a deep breath.

"Phew finally I can stop being so formal"

Azreal heard that he looked over at him but didn't say anything.

"Yea I feel you, opening a door can really tire someone out" Xavious spoke as he looked at Kakar releasing a deep while pretending to be tired.

Sabali did participate in the conversation only smiling as she led the way into the living room of the house.

As they entered the room the servants left the room to prepare refreshments.

"Inform my brother that his bride is here," Sabali told the servants before they all left.

"The ones who were selling the slaves can you describe them?"

When the question was asked Nala answered since she would best be able to describe them, as she described them both Kakar and Sabali nodded their head.

They didn't ask any follow-up questions.

"How long do you plan on staying in the city?" Her question sounded like a general one but it was directed at Nala.

"About a week or less" Azreal who couldn't read the room answered in place of Nala, when Nala heard that she was a bit happy since she didn't want to stay very long.

"Why so short?" Sabali asked slightly confused.

"Just here to repay a favor"

His response confused Sabali but seeing how he was looking at Kakar she nodded in understanding.
