The black liquid that was coming out of his pores was the impurities in his body.

Even though his body had been recreated it was still a body that had never used magic before, so his soul couldn't recreate something that it had never experienced before and what it knew had impurities so even though his body had been recreated to be stronger it was only so it could handle the power of his soul.

So after practicing for another four days —and so much of the sludge like impurities coming out of his body He couldn't help thinking that he must've polluted the river by now— he was finally successful it casting it.

Lying down on the ground completely exhausted he wasn't totally satisfied with what he was able to do but he had to head back to the city because he was positive that the lady at the inn wouldn't save his room for him.

Calming himself down Azreal started meditating to build back up his energy, after about an hour or so once he was satisfied with the amount of energy he absorbed he got off the ground and started putting himself together.

Before leaving he couldn't get rid of that itchy feeling of wanting to use the spell again.

"Inferno"

When he cast the spell the temperature of air around him started to spike, small gushes of purple flames started happening across the air in a half a meter radius around him, just as quickly as it all started everything thing stopped and started to calm down, a split second after the air started cooling down, everything within a three meters radius including himself was instantly engulfed in flames that sounded like a wild beast roaring.

The flames truly wanted to consume everything even the already burnt rocks under his feet were starting to melt making the ground look like a volcano had just erupted the molten rocks looked like lava trickling down.

After a few more seconds of admiring his own work he stopped supplying the flames with energy and just like that they started disappearing until the only thing left on the ground was the molten rocks.

Looking down at it he had a faint premonition that it would probably lead to a forest fire but still, he chose to ignore it and head back to the city.

While on the path back the only thing that was really on his mind was spell, he knew it could get a lot more power and the fire could cover a greater distance if he chose to pour more energy into it but it still didn't feel as strong as either Enron's or the man from before that would mean that in terms of strength he and them were worlds apart.

The other problem that he had was the time it took for the spell to activate based on the distance, sure he could still move around while casting it so long as he sticks to the instructions but it still took a while maybe he could use the increase in the air temperature as a form of defense but deep down he didn't really believe that it would work.

While he was in the mountains he hadn't even turned the book to the second page simply because he was completely consumed with mastering [Purple inferno], Azreal had just planned on going into the city to buy more time for his room then probably do a mission at the guild or just go back into the mountains to see what else was in the book.

Before he knew it he was already walking through the city gates, because he had his Humble Lions badge as well as the city token he didn't have to 'buy any of the guards lunch'.

It didn't take long before he was back at the front desk at the inn.

"Thought you weren't coming back"

Looking at the lady at the counter with the same look on her face as before he couldn't help but smile at her this time.

"no, I lost track of time but am back now....I was wondering if a could pay.... like six months in advance so I wouldn't have to worry losing my room"

And almost as if she was programmed to she replied almost the same as before.

"Twenty-one gold a week, four weeks eighty-four gold, five hundred and four gold for six months including meals that's another one hundred and sixty-eight"

Azreal was completely stunned, he knew it would be a lot but he hadn't done any calculations before and now hearing it out loud he couldn't suppress his shock.

He'd basically spent almost two thousand gold so far in this city and he wasn't even here for a month and half that time hadn't been in the city yet it'd already cost him so much.

'Am I that bad with money or is this city too damn expensive?'

Money didn't really matter that much to Azreal but he sure as hell doesn't plan on starving to death.

Shahiem was right if he wasn't careful he'd lose everything and leave the city empty-handed.

"I'll pay for the room but I don't think I'll be here that much so I'll just pay for the food when I need it"

He didn't even bother waiting for her to respond he just handed her the card and just like last time she ran it on the machine then gave it back to him.

When Azreal got back to his room he was surprised to see there were about twelve trays of food on the table it looked like they brought his food to his room even if he wasn't there, going through the trays to see if he could find the one that had just arrived or at the very least a day ago ago.

After finding one that didn't smell spoiled he dug in and ate his fill.

Although there were a few things on his plate that he didn't recognize, they weren't repulsive so he still ate away.

When he was through he eating he took off his clothes to take a long well-deserved shower, after being in the mountains for so long this felt like a small piece of paradise.

Right after drying himself he just went straight to bed, something he'd been dreaming about for a while now, he had wanted to go back to the mountain or stop by the guild after coming here but he decided that he'd just go over to the guild tomorrow after all he couldn't just be spending and not earning.
