"How's the kid? ..."

Since the time Maseru went to take a nap, he just woke up now in the living room, wearing a comical skull and bones PJ's.

Enron, reading a book in front of a screen with ever changing numbers, heard this familiar voice.

"A normal deity would ask about what's been happening in his territory…" he remarked pointing to the screen.

Arching his brow, Maseru looked at him then the screen.

".... anyways…...how's the kid?"

Taking a deep breath, Enron closed his book.

"Well, he finally managed step into Godhood."

"Hahaha, that was fast. How did the Tribulation go?"

"Well…" Enron paused for a second not sure how to reply, "…he didn't go through it."

"Huh?! what do you mean?"

Not bothering to reply, Enron just swiped his hand across the screen changing it to what happened during the battle of Gaza.

Maseru watched it all from beginning to end, from when Azreal killed the Alliance's soldiers to when his body blew up and the tribulation lightning struck Adidja.

Everything that happened over the past month or so flashed before his eyes in an instant but everything was in great detail like he had been there to experience it himself.

Stuttering Maseru couldn't really find words to reply but he didn't look sad in the slightest instead he was incredibly happy.

"Hahahahaha… For a Tribulation lightning to have struck a defenseless True God he's dead! Hahahaha"

Maseru continued to laugh, taking immense pleasure in everyone else's misfortune.

"Sigh… Why are you like this?"

Finally calming down from his laughter, his face slowly turned serious.

"This kid will cause so many problems…"

Looking at a distance he then said, "The nether realm of all places."

Getting up from his seat, Maseru was about to walk out of the room but stopped.

"Who's consciousness hijacked his?"

Swiping his hand across the screen again, some information came up.

"You should recognize him, since you had him killed…."

Reading the information on the screen, Maseru yawned, even stretching a bit.

"Never heard of him"

Enron could only sigh.

"He lived through both of Dante's wars.

Back then, Palestine woke you up early from one of your 'naps' and told you about a Named calling himself the 'Undying King', then you ordered Palestine to kill him and his entire family…."

Maseru looked completely disinterested in anything Enron was saying so he began walking out but stopped again.

"What about Adidja's soul? You didn't show any report about it on the screen."

"That's because there was none."

When Maseru heard that, he turned his attention towards the dagger and katana.

'Even in death you're still so stressful'

"I'm going back to sleep, only wake me up if it's important"

When Maseru got back into his room, his form changed back to his younger self, completely naked.

The room was completely black with absolutely no light except for the giant glowing tree roots growing out of the walls.

An area on the roots was shaped out perfectly for a person to sit, it was something that would only happen if a were to be sitting in the same position for extended period of times over and over.

When he took his seat, the vines on the roots reacted wrapping themselves around him, even growing through his body. From the neck down he was completely covered by the vines.

Slowly, his eyes closed.

...

Around the same time that Maseru got the news about Azreal going to the nether realm, so did Ellania and Light.

Both of them were having a meal together.

It was truly a beautiful day. The sun was shining bright with clear blue skies. The gentle wind carrying the fragrance of fresh flowers. And to top it all, the chirping of the birds sounded especially melodic today.

With the level of power that both of them attained there really was no need to eat. But it was never about the food but the intimacy it signifies. Besides, it's not like they lost their taste buds as they got stronger, they could still enjoy good food.

Light and Ellania had been married for so long that they themselves have forgotten how long, and with everything that has happened over the past few millions of years, they've drifted apart.

During the war that Dante waged against Light, she refused to participate because he was her nephew. This had put a strain on their marriage. And then some things happened, those she would have never expected to, which Light blamed her for and in truth, she blamed herself.

Just when it seemed like all of that was behind them and the atmosphere was perfect, it was ruined.

Two figures appeared behind both of them and whispered some words.

Instantly, both their faces changed. Light's face instantly turned grim, intense rage building up inside. While Ellania's displayed confusion, her eyes showed her sorrow.

After delivering the message, the two figures left.

The entire atmosphere turned tense. They couldn't find any words to express their thoughts.

"Light…"

Taking a deep breath, he started smiling again

"It's fine…"

She didn't believe but she chose not to pursue it since he was smiling again, and as if this smile was infectious, she instinctively smiled back at him, easing the tense atmosphere even just a little.
