The fake Liam opened the door and exited Altair's room. Dave, Ben, Stacey and Noel were all waiting outside. They had not heard a word of anything that happened within the room. They all only gave the fake Liam a strange look when he emerged from the room while carrying Altair, who appeared to be resting in his arms.

Stacey was the first one to speak up, "Doctor, how is she? Will she be fine? What caused her condition?"

The fake Liam replied with a bored expression, "She'll probably be fine. I am taking her to get some scans done to be sure though. As for what caused her condition, it appears to be something very minor."

Stacey sighed in relief as she quickly said, "That's great." She then looked at Altair with a glowing expression as she stated, "I shall come with you, Young Miss."

The fake Liam quickly said, "That won't be necessary. She needs to rest in a quiet environment. Ask yourself if you are really fit to be near her when you're so noisy." The fake Liam had visited Altair many times when she was unconscious. Every time he did so, Stacey was making a loud racket and being generally obnoxious. Thanks to his extended time in acting his part he was able to easily pick out a reason to exclude Stacey from coming along. That was one less person he would have to deal with when he escaped. He already managed to secure the package he was required to. The last thing he had to do was run away with it.

The fake Liam walked past Stacey as she fell silent with a guilty look on her face. Dave and Ben fell in line behind him while Noel watched them leave in silence.

Altair was mentally struggling with how she was going to escape from this imposter. It seemed he wasn't lying about everyone believing his act except for her. Otherwise, how could he have convinced Stacey with a single statement. Not even Altair could do that and she was, technically, her superior.

She felt a little jealous about that but her current situation was more important to worry about.

She knew that, given the fact that this person carrying her was not taken down with her previous attack, further use of her Shadow Magic would probably wind up failing. Since she couldn't use her Teleportation Magic without killing herself from the Mana Overdraft, that left only her thread Magic. The question was, how and when to use it?

It would be best if she used it when there were more people around to try and stop the fake Liam. However, only one person actually knew she could use that kind of Magic and that was Renald. She had shown it to him before and no one else. She doubted that he would go around telling everyone about it as well.

Donel might know about it but it was doubtful. He was just a servant of the family after all. Besides, she rarely saw him nowadays. The chances of him popping up in their path was slim to none.

Thus, Altair was stuck. Even if she used the thread magic to try and free herself from the fake Liam, who would believe that it was done by her? She couldn't even speak right now to ask for help.

Altair was taken through the mansion and down to the first floor without anyone stopping them or doing much more than giving her strange looks. Most of those strange looks failed to conceal the smiles in their eyes.

It made her feel helpless.

When they reached the antechamber, Renald was coming back into the mansion and spotted the fake Liam carrying Altair. He approached them, which caused the fake Liam to stop as he gave a respectful bow to Renald.

Renald then asked, "So, she woke up did she?"

Altair couldn't see Renald, but when she heard his voice she knew her chance was here. The only question then remained: how to use her threads to escape from the fake Liam? She couldn't control them well if she used her own body as a medium for them to manifest. Since she couldn't control herself, she knew from experience that she would have problems controlling the threads. She might even wind up injuring herself with them.

The fake Liam replied without hesitating, "Yes. I am taking her to scan for any unknown problems that might be lingering in her body."

Renald nodded approvingly as he eyed her with obviously exaggerated concern, "That's good. It would be a shame if anything went unnoticed."

The fake Liam said, "I wouldn't make such an amateur mistake."

Renald grinned at him, "I never said you would." His expression turned slightly serious before he asked, "So, you said you were going back soon right? When were you planning on leaving?"

Thankfully for Altair, it seemed that they would be talking for a while. She would need to have the thread move quickly before anyone stopped it. Once she was free of the fake Liam's grasp, she was sure that he would be found out by Renald. Since she had no reason to attack Liam, there would be reason for a man as smart as he to not figure everything out.

As the fake Liam was giving his reply, Altair burned her Mana and created a couple of threads that she could barely see from the corner of her eye. They were fine threads that you could use on a needle and took on the color of the floor she created them out of.

No one seemed to notice them.

Altair mentally breathed a sigh of relief at that. She then moved both of them at the same time. One of them sliced through the right arms of the fake Liam near his chest. The other one wrapped around Altair's waist at the same time. The one around Altair's waist suddenly expanded and yanked her backwards, pulling her out of the shocked fake Liam's hands as his right arms fell off his body to the ground.

Time seemed to freeze as Altair pulled herself further away from the fake Liam.

It was in part because everyone was staring at the fake Liam with shocked expressions.

From where the arms had been cut off was a mess of wires and blue liquid that spilled out from the stumps that were left. The wires sparked a few times before Renald narrowed his eyes at him.

The fake Liam sighed lightly as he returned the gesture to him.

Ben and Dave quickly dashed to get in front of Altair, who was still floating in midair as if she was flying to them. They had no time at all to bother processing what they were seeing. They had to protect her first and ask questions later.

Renald angrily muttered, "Damn Android," as he glared at the fake Liam before him.

The fake Liam didn't bother to reply as he instead attempted to run.

It happened so fast Altair could barely keep up with their movements.

Renald closed the distance between the fake Liam and himself in an instant. The fake Liam still had two hands so he was able to block the attack that Renald hit him with. In the same moment, a loud explosion sound echoed around them as Liam jumped back at the same time.

Renald gave chase and moved to grab him instead of continuing to allow him to try and escape. He attacked with fake punches that were actually him trying to grab the fake Liam's hands and the fake Liam failed to notice this as he was more focused on trying to escape.

This resulted in Renald grabbing hold of both of Liam's arms and twisting his body, throwing him into the ground next to him.

Liam slammed into the ground with enough force to create a small crater in it.

Renald didn't bother to give him any time to recover as he twisted his body again, lifting the fake Liam up and slamming him in the ground on the other side of himself.

Another small crater was made as Renald lifted his leg and stomped downwards with all of his strength.

The android shifted its body to avoid getting stomped in the chest. Instead, he allowed his head to get pulverized from the blow. Bits of metal and scraps of wire flew out in an explosion as Renald attempted to twist his body again to slam the android into the ground in another location.

However, the Android figured he would try this. He twisted his legs in an inhuman way and kicked the back of Renald's legs at the same time, causing Renald to fall to one knee and be unable to actually lift him.

The two then began to engage each other on the ground. Their weakened blows due to the closeness of each other was obvious. They both lacked the ability to get any real power to their attacks and their fight appeared to be going nowhere.

Altair didn't know how the fake Liam was still able to move without a head. She had no concept of what an android was and thought that the fake Liam was from some bizarre race that was unbelievably hardy. Since it was able to take that much damage and keep moving then it obviously was still a threat.

Altair didn't like leaving threats around even if other people were dealing with it.

While Altair couldn't move it didn't mean that she had no Mana at all to assist. By now, she had about one bucket left. It was enough for her to attempt one of her favorite types of ambushes once.

Since they were both tangled up on the ground, it would be a bit difficult to land without hurting Renald too much but Altair was confident that she could do it. She also wouldn't be overly broken up over injuring Renald anyway so she had nothing to really lose.

He was just a Human after all.

Ben and Dave started to move towards Altair to get her out of harm's way. That would go against Altair's plan though so she raised herself up slightly to get a better view of the scuffle on the stairs.

She waited for the right timing as the fake Liam kicked Renald.

Renald growled in fury and attempted to head-butt the chest of the android, which was where their core was commonly found. The android shifted to the side, causing his head-butt to land right into the stumps on his right side. Renald's body jolted a few times and went limp from the electricity surging through him. He wasn't dead but his entire body was completely numb from it.

By now, more people were arriving to the antechamber from all over the house. They were all guards of the Marnithok Mansion. They came armed with various weapons and objects.

The android pushed itself away from Renald and started to stand up while also trying to run.

Now was the time to Altair. She hastily burned the rest of her Mana, causing the thread holding her up to dissipate and her to fall. As a result, a checkered pattern of threads came out from the railings, floor, and wall of the stairs that the android was running through. They came into existence right as he was starting to pick up speed and he ran right into them, causing his body to fall apart into tiny cubes on impact and scatter across the floor.
