Walter looked up from his communicator when he saw Sarah closing in on him with a furious expression. It caused his fake smile to tighten slightly as a shiver of fear ran down his spine. He was remembering past trauma that Sarah had inflicted on him while they were growing up. That trauma had caused him to do a lot of things to avoid getting on her bad side. Even after so long his body still remembered the suffering he went through.

As Walter prepared to face the storm, Sarah walked past him and grabbed his collar as she went. She then dragged him away from the other nobles while their attention was focused on the screens before them. She took him to a soundproof room on the side of the arena and shoved him inside before going in after him.

Helena and Gordon entered behind her with odd looks on their faces. They had seen Sarah angry before and knew that she was worried about Altair but… to go this far was very odd of her. Especially for Helena, who knew how greedy and selfish Sarah was.

Sarah tried to close the door behind her but it was caught by Gordon, causing her to give him and Helena a look that could kill. They both paused in the face of the glare she sent them because she had never looked at them that way before. They couldn't help but think, 'Shit she's serious.'

Sarah dismissed them from her sight and turned her attention to Walter. She gave him the same glare before shouting, "Find my daughter on that field now!"

Walter nodded quickly before bringing up a private transparent screen in the room and quickly shifting over the field to find the girl he had seen earlier. He had no idea why Sarah was so angry that she was taking part in the event he planned. It was basically a completely safe training arena for all of the children so why was she so upset about it? He cautiously asked, "What brought this on?"

Sarah immediately snapped at him, "She's injured you dolt! She's also on painkillers so this harmless event of yours is actually deadly to her!"

Walter's hands paused briefly before he redoubled his efforts to find Altair. He had no idea that the girl was injured because she was acting completely fine. Even if someone took painkillers there would usually be some sign of injury, a limp, a ragged breath, a hoarse voice, an odd gait, anything. But Altair showed no signs of any of that at all despite being a child. He couldn't be blamed for not seeing through her being injured.

Walter did not want to be blamed for any further injuries that Altair might suffer and strived to find her even faster than before. He was already terrified of Sarah to a certain extent when she was like this. He knew that she wouldn't hold back just because they had grown up together and were allies.

As if predicting his worries, Sarah ominously stated, "If she gets harmed… I'm sure you can imagine what will happen to you."

Gordon had never seen this side of Sarah before and found it quite alluring. He loved his wife Helena but if he knew that Sarah was capable of this kind of attitude and behavior then he might have chosen differently in the past. Even knowing that Helena was known by practically everyone in the Empire now he still might have chosen Sarah instead.

Helena had seen this side of Sarah before though. She was very familiar with how much of a hidden dagger Sarah could be. But she was absolutely perplexed by her attitude right now. The Sarah she knew wouldn't be this worried even if it was her own son that was injured that down. She had even seen it for herself in an earlier party where Joshua was actually injured and fighting with another noble child but Sarah ignored the whole thing. Even when Joshua was getting treated she maintained a neutral expression. She couldn't help but wonder what it was about Altair that was causing her to panic this much. Sure, according to Sarah, Altair had lasting damage but even then it shouldn't be enough to cause her to be so worked up over it.

After a short amount of time Walter found Altair on a camera and as soon as he did he practically shouted, "Found her!" He felt relieved that he had found her so quickly. However, that relief quickly turned into dread when he noticed where she was on the map.

Sarah and the others looked at the screen and saw Altair walking around some trees. The sounds of roars could be heard nearby and Sarah quickly took over the screen and moved the camera to where the sounds were coming from. When Sarah and the others saw that it was a Barndol Bear their expressions changed to shock all at once.

"Don't you know how to limit your events Walter?" Gordon asked with a agitated tone.

Sarah quickly interrupted them as she turned to Walter and shouted, "Turn off all the camera's around her now!" She then turned on her heel to leave.

Walter gave her a strange look as she was leaving the room. What was the point of that supposed to be? He couldn't figure it out.

Helena blocked Sarah from leaving because nobody else seemed to want to ask the question that was on all their minds. "Why does he need to block the feed around Aria?" She suspected that if she let that happen she would live to regret it. There was something very strange about the relationship between Sarah and that girl. Sure, Aria was adorable as heck and more polite than most children her age but that wasn't enough to get Sarah to show such emotion for someone.

Sarah frowned at Helena. She couldn't match Helena in strength so she didn't bother trying to move her by force. If she tried she would just end up on the ground and all of this would take longer. However, she did predict that Helena would probably stop her like this. "Because I'm about to go out and collect my daughter. Surely you all know what that means for my image if I do that here." She was counting on the rules of noble society to give her added leverage in her mission.

As far as the others knew, Sarah was the pinnacle of Noble etiquette and always a stickler for the rules. What she said did indeed make sense when looked at like that. However, Helena doubted that was the real reason. "Why do we need to cut off the video now instead of when you're about to arrive?"

Sarah gave her a frightening smile as she said, "Because if I can see her getting injured as I go to save her then I can't promise I won't be discrete to things in my way."

A chill ran down their spines as the meaning was clear. If she could see what was happening she was likely to blast through anything and everything to get to Altair, even if the obstruction was a child. If Sarah went full force on that path she would be able to obliterate most of the kids in the arena within a second of making contact with them. All of the blame would be placed on the Lothan family for driving Sarah to such extremes due to the stress and worry about her daughter as well.

Thus, Walter quickly nodded and cut the camera's all around Altair while keeping tabs on where she moved to through the screen in the room. On it, Altair was moving out of the trees towards the Barndol Bear with a confident expression on her face.

When Sarah saw this shit muttered, "Stupid girl, you're going to get yourself killed." She turned back to Helena and coldly said, "Get out of my way I have to save my daughter."

Helena moved as she was mostly convinced of the reason Sarah had given.

With that, Sarah left the room and headed over to the ledge. Everything she did in there was calculated and planned ahead of time by her. Even the last extra sentence she said quietly in the room when Altair approached the Barndol Bear was for all of their benefits. She was planning to put forth the knowledge that she had no idea how skilled Altair truly was if she surprised them. Because in truth, Sarah really did have no idea how strong Altair really was. She was counting on them questioning her about it later for her to get a better idea of her strength.

Back in the room, Helena and Gordon's eyes opened wide when they noticed the youth that was also there. That was their son, Rience Marshucarl.
