These officers all looked serious. They dressed differently from the L.A. police that Chen Zhao usually saw.
The leader wore regular clothes. The others had different uniforms and weapons.
A couple of the officers in the back held silenced submachines.
“Hello, I am Thomas Riffer, in charge of the local Interpol branch. Are you Mr. Chen?”
“Yes, I am.”
Then the leading police took Chen Zhao’s hand. “Thank you for your contributions. You helped us catch Viper Quincy.”
“Viper Quincy?”
“The one you handicapped.”
“Who are they?” Chen Zhao asked.
“A-class criminals wanted internationally. Viper Quincy is the second leader of the international crime organization Death Knight. They committed crimes in many countries and more than 100 innocent people have died in their hands.”
“Wait, are you sure that their name is the Death Knight?”
“Yes, is there a problem?”
“Are you sure they’re a crime organization and not some anime club?”
“You’re not here to arrest this guy?” Laurent was disappointed.
Thomas looked at Laurent and then at Chen Zhao. “And he is?”
“Ignore him,” Chen Zhao said, rolling his eyes. “He’s crazy.”
