the sky was a blood red in the morning sky as Xijack sat atop a large pillor overlooking a massive overgrown citadel. Xijack lept down remembering days long past when he lived here, no he did not find, he was trapped here. Xijack felt the ground its Kyi was still like he remembered it all of those years, ancient and old, it felt cold on his hand and made his hairs on his arm stand up.
Xijack removed his hand and said " it is just as I remember." Xijack looked around at the torn paintings of old Azor'warthen Gods like Di'menra, Sev'in, and Ku'zu the three sisters of cosmic fate. Xi'jack walked over to a torn painting of a young woman all dressed in red.
Xijack placed his right hand on the painting and said "Alison, I am sorry I could not save you" his voice waving as he pressed his head against the painting and a single tear rolled down his face.
Xijack walked deeper into the ruins that had once been his home. Xijack looked upon this shell of place with no sadness he had despised living behind the walls of Direroot.
Xijack stopped when he heard a ancient bell ring loudly though the air. Xijack placed his right hand on the back of his neck as a sirg pain ran down Xijacks spine. but he did not move Xijack was used to this pain and had heard this bell thousands of times over the long fourth two years he had spent I. Direroot from his birth to know he knew this pain and its source. The Old Bell. " I swear Alison I will destroy the bell to set your soul free."
Xijacks mind went back to the day that Alision met him. Xijack had just gotten done working in the yard his face dripping with sweat and his body scraped with deep cuts from the Thorn Whips that the guards lash him with every day.
Xijack fell to the ground his wounds flowing blood from his body. Xijack thought for sure he would die and be freed from the curse of the old bell. a curse that kept him shackled to this world preventing him from moving on. Xijack felt a warm glow around his body as a young woman kneeling beside him her dark red hair tied in a ponytail had her hands on Xijacks wond and with Healing Kyi had healed it. " Thank you" Xijack said to the woman " your welcome my name is Alison Red but you can just call me Red" Red said putting her hand out to shake Xijack paused and took her hand " it is nice to meet you Red, I'm Xijack." Xijack said as he laid back down.
Years passed and Red and Xijack became close friends. one evening when the blood moon was at its zenith Red gave Xijack a key on a iron chain "What is this?" Xijack asked Red replied as she closed his hand around the key " I need you to keep this key and leave." Red said Xijack replied "But I cant if I leave The Old Bell may harm you." Red smiled and said " The Old Bell can not hurt me, he wants me back with him and if I go tonight you will die if you stay." Red hugged her friend her eyes tearing up " you have to go Xijack" Red released Xijack and saw he had not left yet. "I don't want to kill you Xijack if you don't leave The old bell will make me"
Xijack left and said to Red " goodbye my friend."
Xijacks mind returned to the present he let out cry of sadness and anger as he punched a hole though the wall " why did I leave you Red!? i should have stayed"
Xijack can still remember hearing the howls of pain as the Old Bell opened a portal in the sky, giant unholy creatures rained from the heavens and took Red into the moon the bell rang on and on it sound beaming one with screams of all of those being consumed in the realm if Farcry. Xijack returned a month later and found the bodies of everything in Farcry covered in a heavy layer of blood red snow.
