A week after the incident between chris and sophie, everything went back to normal. Sophie was sitting in her cubicle when Beatrix came to see chris at the office. She didn't talk to sophie much, just exchanged pleasantries, it seems like she was in a hurry but she looks excited and anxious. Chris was standing at the window looking at the great view outside.
Chris!!!; Beatrix called out as she entered his office and ran to embrace him.
Hey, how are you; Chris asked her as he embraced her back.
Am fine, Guess what?; Beatrix released her embrace as she spoke.
Chris brows raised and his face brighten with a wide smile as he asked "what?".
My graduation is tomorrow, am sorry i didn't tell you earlier. I was busy helping arrange the graduation programmes. I hope you dont get too busy to come; Beatrix explained and emphasized on the word "busy".
Hahaha, i will surely come, i cant miss one of the most important moment of your life, Doctor Beatrix; Chris replied as he pinched her cheeks slowly and they both giggled.
Ok pinky promise; she raised her pinky finger and frowned her face.
Yes pinky promise; Chris intertwined his pinky finger with hers as he spoke.
They both laughed as they had small talk before Beatrix had to leave, chris walked her out of the office before waving her goodbye. He turned to Sophie and said "Clear my schedule for tomorrow, we are going somewhere" then he entered his office.
Ok sir; Sophie replied as took out her tablet to check his schedules, she saw something then she rushed into chris office.
Sir am sorry to inform you but you have a meeting with Meng Sha clothing company tomorrow in shanghai at 9am; Sophie explained with a cold voice which made chris feel its serious, his brows twitched and he sat lazily on his swivel chair.
Can you ask them to reschedule for today; Chris requested.
I don't know but i will try to convince them; Sophie said as she walked out of chris's office.
After about 1 hour, Sophie had a long discussion with the company representatives. It was long and it took all her patience, she felt like screaming at the top of her voice due to frustration. She stood up and walked into Chris with a long face, She stood infront of his office desk.
Well?; Chris asked raising his brows
Sophie looked straight in his eyes and said "We talked and they......".
