The armored vehicles rumbled on, speeding towards the military camp a dozen kilometers away. The students in the vehicles were talking softly about the upcoming examination.
The passengers in the vehicle Zhang Che was on were mostly from his school. Everyone basically knew each other, so their discussions were lively.
A guy with a wide and flat face sitting opposite Zhang Che suddenly looked at him and asked, "Hey, Zhang Che, what do you think the examination this time will be like?"
Zhang Che was taken aback. He couldn't remember what the other's name was, only vaguely remembering that he should be his classmate.
There were three candidates from Zhang Che's class, but Zhang Che actually didn't even know what their names were. Naturally he wouldn't recognize the students from the other classes.
-So I'm actually this disconnected from the school?-
"Ugh, I have no idea." Zhang Che thought, -Would you even know?-
The flat-faced guy chuckled, "I thought you knew. Didn't Huang Tielan have any information regarding this? I heard her father is a big shot from our Qian Wei City's army!"
-Okay, is this brat indirectly saying that I'm a gigolo?-
However, they couldn't be blamed for having such thoughts, either. He only became a beastmaster a month ago, and he developed so rapidly, attaining the qualifications to take part in the universities' examination for enrollment into their beastmaster major. The flat-faced guy's words caused the thirty or so people to break out into laughter.
Those who weren't in the know even whispered to their acquaintances sitting around them to understand the situation. After learning who Huang Tielan was, their laughter grew even more unbridled.
Zhang Che looked at the flat-faced guy, his lips pursed. He finally understood why he was trying to strike up a conversation with him. This brat harbored some evil motives!
However, Zhang Che couldn't be bothered to deal with these little men, either. Would a mighty falcon soaring high up in the sky care about the chirpings of a bunch of magpies?
On the other hand, the two accompanying teachers felt that the students were being a little too rowdy. Tian Shirong humphed and said, "Everyone quiet down a little, you're being too noisy!"
The sounds of laughters and discussions immediately stopped.
However, there were still many of them who were looking at Zhang Che, their gazes filled with disdain. -To think that with such a pretty little face, you'd actually live off of Huang Tielan, that fatty! How shameful!-
Meanwhile, the only two girls on the vehicle were lamenting to themselves, -Why did such a cool, handsome guy have to be blind?-
Zhang Che truly couldn't be bothered to pay any heed to them, and decided to shut his eyes and rest.
The convoy soon arrived at the military camp and they parked the vehicles at the open space by the airport in an orderly manner. As the car doors were opened from the outside, a huge group of young men and women swarmed out excitedly, taking in the scenery of the military camp curiously.
"Gather!" However, before they could satisfy their curiosity, four Second Lieutenants ran up to them and stood in a row. They gathered and split the civilians into four groups, readying them to board the airplanes.
A row of four airplanes were ready and waiting on the runway to their side.
At the same time, teams of fully-armed soldiers were standing in formation around the airport, giving off a stern aura. The teachers and candidates all kept their mouths shut without any prompting, and obeyed the lieutenants' orders, quickly gathering in a formation.
Just as the lieutenants were about to give the order to board the airplanes, a Major suddenly came running towards them and stood before the four groups. He swept his gaze across them and asked, "Which one of you is Zhang Che from Number Two School, Class Three?"
The Number Two School candidates all turned to look at Zhang Che at the same time, triggering a chain reaction, and everyone looked towards him.
"I am." Zhang Che was taken aback. -Why are they looking for me?-
The Major nodded and said, "Come with me."
Many of them who didn't know the situation were wondering to themselves if this kid had done something wrong and was found out. However, the situation didn't seem like it.
When Zhang Che followed the Major to the front of an airplane, those who knew insider information gradually came to a realization one after another. -Tsk tsk, this guy is really having it good!-

The Major opened the door to the cockpit and extended his hand very politely, inviting him in. Zhang Che could only go along with it and entered.

"Haha, Zhang Xiaoche. Are you surprised? Amazed, even?"
He was indeed a little surprised, but amazed, not really.
Zhang Che walked up and sat down on the sofa, asking curiously, "What, did Bei Du University's beast card cultivation examination start too?"
"Not yet. The written test takes place at the end of the month," Huang Tielan replied, pushing a cup of fruit juice in front of Zhang Che. She continued, "But my grandpa asked me to go over a few days earlier, so I tagged along."

Zhang Che was slightly taken aback, feeling that this middle-aged man before him looked a little familiar.
"Dad, why are you here too!?" Miss Tienan jumped out from her seat, an incredulous look on her face.
Zhang Che almost facepalmed himself. He really wanted to ask her… -Are you surprised? Amazed, even?-
