On the twenty-first of August, year thirty-six of the new age, 12:18 PM…
Zhang Che walked out of the Rejing airport, observing the ridiculously young city. The current Rejing was no longer the Rejing of the past.
During the first arrival of the beast swarm, a total of eight spatial gateways had appeared in the surroundings of Rejing in one go. The exotic beasts had swarmed out from them endlessly, and had land and water-type exotic beasts among them.
Rejing was quickly met with tragedy.
A few years later, after surviving through the first beast swarm with much difficulty, the Japanese citizens discovered that Rejing was nothing but ruins. Almost all the buildings were destroyed by the powerful exotic beasts, as if a super intense modern warfare had occurred here. Everything before their eyes was ruined.
It had to be said that the Japanese were truly the most powerful ethnic group in certain aspects.
After the first beast swarm, they pumped in enormous amounts of labor and resources to rebuild Rejing from scratch. They also constructed countless defensive measures around the eight spatial gateways.
Afterwards, although the second and third beast swarms arrived with much larger and stronger numbers, the Japanese had miraculously defended their new Rejing, shocking the whole world.
A few decades had passed since then, the new Rejing had fully taken shape and no longer had a trace of the ruins from the past.
Someone with no knowledge of the history of this place could never imagine that this city was a purgatory-like ruin just thirty years ago.
Although Zhang Che couldn’t see the full appearance of Rejing from where he stood, he could still feel the prosperity and congestion when he looked over it. Despite only taking in a tiny fraction of the city, he could see a glimpse of how Rejing had become the busiest city in Japan once more.
“I wonder if the largest industry of Rejing exists in this world, too? What a pity; if this was in my original world, I would really want to go meet those respectable life coaches and see what their real lives are like.”
Wasn’t the reason why Rejing was called that because of those admirable life coaches? {TLN: Rejing translates to hot capital.}
If their traces were gone, why even call it Rejing? They might as well call it Lengjing. {TLN: Lengjing translates to cold capital.}
In the end, just as he walked out of the airport, he saw a long line of taxis parked on both sides of the road… Of course, that wasn’t the main point. The main thing was that when they saw the crowd swarming out from the airport exit, the taxi doors opened almost simultaneously, and every driver was either a young or mature women.
Not only that, those women all had something in common despite their age differences. Every one of them was beautiful.
Even their figures were something to be proud of, although their strong points differed.

Zhang Che was pulled to the row of taxis by the two women just like that. After a short discussion between the two, they quickly came to an agreement and pushed Zhang Che into the car forcibly. The younger of the two drove, while the mature woman sat in the back, beside Zhang Che.
“Mister, have you booked your hotel room? If not, we have better recommendations.”
From the moment she got into the car, the mature woman’s gaze towards Zhang Che became a little different, as if she was looking at a pile of cash. Her eyes were almost dazzling with golden light.
Did he book a hotel room?
That was impossible. Zhang Che’s trip to Japan wasn’t for vacation. Why would he reserve a hotel room? Perhaps he would even need to sleep outside, with the skies as his blanket and the earth as his bed.

As such, he could only put on a cold face and said evenly, “Please send me to Rejing’s city district. I don’t need any other services. Thank you.”

Going forward, the two women became honest as could be. They sent Zhang Che to Rejing’s city district and quickly drove off after receiving the fare for the ride, not reluctant to leave at all.

He didn’t go to book a hotel room. Instead, he walked around the streets casually.
The time now was 1 PM; Zhang Che was starving. He needed to find a place to have a good meal.
Of course, given his appetite, it was impossible for him to enter a restaurant. That scene would be too frightening to the on-lookers.
The only feasible way was for him to look for a secluded corner and take out the prepared food from his spatial storage to eat. He wouldn’t scare anyone that way.
