During all this, the Nirvana Snake King tried to control the two dark spheres to circle around the pieces of exotic beast meat Zhang Che threw out, directly aiming for him and the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon.
Alas, both of Zhang Che’s hands were moving simultaneously, tossing a wide spread of exotic beast meat, and the two balls of light had no way of avoiding them. Their advance could only be passively hindered by those pieces of meat.
A minute was fast, and it would pass by before you knew it. It was also slow, definitely longer than just a few moments.
Zhang Che felt like this particular minute went by as slowly as a century. Flying on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s back, he circled in the skies above the mountain range for gods-knew-how-far, before he finally saw the two black globes bursting like bubbles a short distance behind them, disappearing without a trace.
“Good, now it’s my turn to torture you!”
Zhang Che finally got his break. He summoned the Scarlet Flame Drake with a wave of his hand. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon quickly turned around and flew towards the Nirvana Snake King aggressively.
Seeing its attack had failed to catch up to Zhang Che, the Nirvana Snake King’s body suddenly jumped in the air and quickly changed directions, speeding off towards the depths of the Five Poisons Mountain Range.
Even though they were a few hundred meters apart, Zhang Che could hear the sharp whistling noise the Nirvana Snake King produced when flying.
Ugh, this exotic beast that had a “jet engine” installed, its speed was truly in a league of its own!
As for the those Nirvana Snakes that numbered close to a hundred, seeing their leader was making a run for it, they immediately went into a panic and scattered in all directions.
Zhang Che cursed inwardly. He knew it was now impossible to catch them all in one fell swoop, and could only choose to pursue the Nirvana Snake King. As long as he successfully took down that fellow, this trip today wouldn’t be a waste.
The Nirvana Snake King was also aware that it would surely meet a miserable end if Zhang Che caught up to it. It aroused its innate attribute desperately, operating its “jet engine” to the extreme, producing an unending sharp screech.
