Even if they couldn’t find a good hiding spot like a crevice, hiding under a big tree would give them some sense of security! Heavens knew what kind of danger the fast falling rain of light would bring…

General Mihill’s small unit of six people was similarly running towards a crevice between the mountains.
The brown-haired leader had a dark expression, not saying a word. Only a hint of fear of the unknown flashed across his eyes subconsciously.
The five other members were in a worse state. Their fear was very apparent on every face. With the help of the illumination from the rain of light, they were running like their lives depended on it, hoping to reach the crevice a few dozen meters away before the rain fell on them.
Although they were all mid-tier beastmasters and weren’t weak, and a few dozen meters wasn’t a long distance either, the terrain here was too rugged. They would only reach their destination in about four seconds.
Moreover, they were racing against the speed of light. Heavens knew if they could make it in time!
Of course, if the rain of colors was really travelling at the speed of light, every beastmaster out there didn’t have to run. They’d probably be covered in those strange things before they even saw anything.
“Damn, I don’t think we will make it in time!” O’Neill, who was at the back of the group, cried in frustration. Before he could even finish his sentence, the rain of light fell onto them. However, it wasn’t a rain of light, but something that resembled rays of light. Their colors and length varied. The shorter ones were only about ten centimeters long, while the long ones measured over a meter. It came in all colors that could possibly be imagined.
Every one of those mysterious rays contained a different energy wave.
However, no one was in the mood to study the strange rays. They were all desperately running for their lives, making their way to the crevice only a dozen meters away now.
In the end, O’Neill was a little too slow. Just as he was about to enter the crevice, he was struck by a gray ray. Immediately, his large, dark muscular body went stiff and directly toppled to the ground, rolling into the crevice.
“Hey, O’Neill, you okay?”
His companions were astonished. They hurriedly tried to help him up, but his whole body was stiff like a rock sculpture; his joints couldn’t move an inch.
“Ah! O’Neill is dead!” screamed Elena, the woman with long blonde hair. She truly hadn’t dared imagine the rain of light was so terrifying. O’Neill was clearly wearing beast card armor, and yet he was killed instantly!
How scary! Luckily everyone else hid themselves inside the crevice at the last moment, even if O’Neill wasn’t fortunate enough to make it in time.
“He’s not dead!” the leader of the unit, Morack, shouted immediately. He lifted the rock-solid O’Neill up and saw his wide eyes were filled with shock and fear. O’Neill couldn’t move a muscle. Even speaking was impossible.
“Damn it, were you struck by the legendary Medusa’s petrification spell?” Morack asked with a frown, looking into O’Neill’s eyes.
However, O’Neill could only show his fear and confusion with his eyes. His slightly opened mouth was unable to produce any sound.
Helpless about it, Morack put O’Neill down again. That guy was too big; holding him up like that was very tiring.

After a long while, O’Neill finally recovered. His face still showed his fear.
When he came back to himself, O’Neill started recalling the feeling when he was struck by the ray. Fear lingered in his heart, which was still racing even now. “Damn it. Those rays are impossible to block! The beast card armors seem to be useless; it really felt like I died in that moment!”
He was sure if he was struck by a few more of those rays, he would definitely be dead right now. There was no way he would survive that!
Hearing O’Neill’s account, the others couldn’t help but look outside in fear. It was only when they confirmed those colorful rays wouldn’t come inside the crevice that they sighed in relief.

Morack’s group was considered fortunate. Many other beastmasters weren’t so lucky, however.
Some of them had just entered the secret plane. Although they sensed the danger when the sky full of rain of light started falling, they were too far from the floating mountain ranges and were unable to find a place to shelter themselves. A brief moment later, they were struck by a number of those rays and directly died in various ways, be it turning into ash, frozen into ice, or even petrified into stone, left with no signs of life at all.
Even many of the beastmasters in the floating mountain ranges lost their lives tragically due to their slower reactions and failure to find a suitable place to shield themselves. They were similarly struck by the rays and died to the strange attacks of the plane.

Zhang Che could also feel the terrifying energy contained in those rays. However, the rainbow crystal had control over the situation. None of those rays fell on him, leaving him feeling very fortunate.

As for the possibility of that whole unit being wiped out by the wave of rays earlier, Zhang Che found it rather unlikely. A few lucky ones would probably survive.
“But, you guys better not celebrate too early. When I find you, you’ll be going to join that black man from earlier!” A faint smile rose on Zhang Che’s lips. He intended to rest for the night and go look for them tomorrow when light shone in the world once more.
In any case, Phil had given an account of his comrades’ features. There was no need to worry he wouldn’t find them. At the most, he’d need to spend a little more time.

“As expected, I am the king in my territory. I can do whatever I want. If I want to find somebody, they’ll have nowhere to hide, no matter how good they are at it!”
Zhang Che was extremely excited inside. In the end, he couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst out in laughter. Afterwards, he didn’t care that it was pitch black around him and mounted the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon. They followed the rainbow crystal’s directions, flying out to their right.
Zhang Che really couldn’t wait a moment longer. Heavens knew how many more beastmasters would enter this secret plane. The more people came in, and the longer this dragged on, the more of his spiritual herbs would be dug away!
Zhang Che would never do such a losing business!
