This division is based on the 7 chakra meridians of the human body. Each meridian represents a reservoir of magical energy. Unlocking the next meridian/reservoir increases the overall strength but the user is not able to use the previously unlocked meridians resulting in a limited increase of strength. For example, if iron gives the user 1k mp, and bronze gives user 10k mp, the resulting mp will be 10k and not 11k.
