Today was the same as always, clear as ever. This was the perfect weather to leave the city on a short expedition.
Un… Let me see, food for the journey, my twin swords… Ah, and my feather fan. I was currently packing in my room and was feeling a little excited.
Hu… After fitting in everything I could think of, I gave a long sigh and put my hand to my chest where I could feel my heart thumping.

“Ah, is Xuan De leaving now?”
“Un?” I turned around to see Gan Qing walking over and replied, “Ah yes. We will be going on a longer trip today so we’ll be back rather late.”
“Late huh? What about dinner?” Gan Qing asked as she came up to me and patted the dust off me and tidied my clothing.
The scene right now was something that you would expect from a married couple but Gan Qing always does this sort of thing with me and I have gotten used to it by now.
“It depends. If we’re too late, go ahead and eat first.”
“Un, alright. *Pa* *Pa* *Pa*” Gan Qing said as she proceeded to pat down the hem of my robes below my waist.
“Ah, there’s no need for that, Gan Qing. It’ll get dirty when I ride later anyway.”
I take back what I said. I am getting a little embarrassed at what she is doing right now.
“You can’t have that kind of thinking, you know?” Gan Qing replied seriously, “If you think that there’s no need to be clean if you’ll be dirty anyway then you will become a dirty fellow.”
Wu. That does make sense.
“But why is Xuan De waiting here? Are you still going?”
“Ah, I’m waiting for someone. Yi De will be going out with me today.” I said as I looked towards Yi De’s room.
“Ah yes, Gan Qing,” I decided to ask her something that has been on my mind since I had time now, “I’ve been rather busy of late and haven’t had any time to go and check with you. How is it with Liu Feng, is she getting along with Mi Zhen?”
“Ah, Liu Feng huh?” Gan Qing smiled when she heard what I asked, “She’s a very nice girl and often tries to help me out. Thanks to her, Mi Zhen has become easier to handle.”
“Really?”
“Yes,” Gan Qing nodded, “She’s more obedient now that she has a playmate.”
Ah~ I can picture it very clearly. Liu Feng is more introverted after all and will try to stop Mi Zhen from getting into trouble. At the same time, Mi Zhen will be more protective of Liu Feng so Mi Zhen is more obedient now. Now that I think about it, it’s a good thing to bring Liu Feng back.

“Ah, she’s here.” Gan Qing said and when I looked over, I saw Yi De gingerly closing her door. She looked at me and seemed a little surprised but quickly waved.
As I looked at Yi De, I began to feel that her situation was a little like Liu Feng’s. Yet I have never given up on Yi De nor have I given up on regaining her memories. If so, then what reason is there for me to give up on Liu Feng?
“Gan Qing, please give Liu Feng special treatment when you can. She needs more love and care now.” I said as I turned back and patted Gan Qing’s shoulders, “I’ll be very busy for the time being so I’ll be counting on you.”
When I am done with this, I will find the time to visit Liu Feng.
“Un, I understand. Go and deal with your stuff, Xuan De.” Gan Qing nodded and smiled, “Leave the 2 children to me.”
“Un, thanks for your hard work.” I nodded and bit my lips, feeling guilty, and turned to Yi De, “Yi De, let’s go.”
“Ah, un.” Yi De said as she came over.
“Have a safe trip, Xuan De.”
“Un, see you tonight.” I said goodbye to Gan Qing as I went ahead with Yi De behind me.
“I was packing just now, apologies for the delay.”

It’s actually an hour before the time Yi De and I agreed to meet after all.

“The business we will be attending to today and the reason why you will be bringing me along.”

“Then what do I need to do later?”

“Yes, since you are bringing me along, is there any task you need me to do?”

“Ah, oh. Thanks for your hard work.” I nodded as I took the reins from Liao Hua.
“Here, Lord Zhang Fei.”
“Oh, thanks.” Yi De nodded.
“Will you be leaving now, my lord?” Liao Hua asked.
“Yes, I’ll be trying to invite that saint out.” I said as I mounted my horse, “I didn’t think that it would be Liao Hua who would be bringing my horse though.”
“I didn’t know that my lord was leaving.”
“Eh?”
“Lord Chen Gong told me about it and I happened to have something to bring as well so I brought the horses over for you.”
