After walking for 3 minutes, we are now inside the waiting room where the sage and the king are present talking about something.
When they see us, they raised to their feet and then greeted father and mother in a very polite manner.
"Greeting Emperor Julius, Empress Theresa. This lowly one is Holand Jirvald and I am here on your request to help the first prince awaken his magic."
Said the sage as he bowed so low that his head almost touched the ground…
Is he that devoted to them to the point where he must abandon his dignity?! I must question the meaning of a sage again after this…
"Now now, don't be so stiff and raise your head, gramps. Take a look at my kid here, I want you to help me awaken his magic, can you do it?"
Father strange and awkward smile could be seen as he tried to make the old man to raise his head.
"No need to mind us and let's get started, I want to make sure that it went well without any hindrance. Honestly, I am really in a bad mood for some reason. I think I can go and destroy a few kingdom by myself…."
With a gloomy expression rarely seen on mother's beautiful face, she then said with a heavy and annoyed tone like she is about to erupt with rage at any moment.
The people in the room were filled with a cold sweat after hearing her wanting to go and destroy a few kingdoms. Especially the King and the Queen expression were really grave and pale…

As for the king, now that I take a closer look, he is quite… Normal… There is no redeeming feature to take note of. Not handsome, but not ugly either, just normal… Black hair and black eyes.. Yup… Normal…

I reached the jewel in the old man hand using my right hand. However the moment my hand touched the jewel, I could feel my soul was being sucked in.
My right hand trembled a little and I almost dropped the jewel, but the old man grabbed and hold my hand into a fist together with the jewel.
"Don't drop it, hold it tighter!"
"A-ah, okay."
The old man's harsh words woke me up from being in a daze and replied to him hurriedly.
"Now, stand here and don't move. I'm going to be outside of the magic circle, so don't worry."
I nodded to the old man and then stayed still while staring at the transparent jewel in my right hand. The jewel had a hint of black in the center of it now…
Is it because of my soul? Or maybe it was something else… I have a bad feeling about this…

There is a no privacy in this room while that black widow is still here! I almost made another blunder…
