It was because they were always together before because they were always at each other's sides. That makes this separation hard. Ever since she first met him, that night when she was four years old, ever since that time she never thought that one day, she would have to let go of his hand.

She's a wreck. That's an understatement. She's a complete mess. It had only been two whole weeks since she left, and yet her condition has degraded so badly that one wouldn't recognize her anymore. Although she has always been slightly pale, now her skin was truly as white as snow. Lila understands what the problem is, her rejection of the darkness and him. She's missing him, she needs him by her side. These days, without you. She's already lost track of everything. But, she does know that the last few days, she hasn't been able to breathe properly. It's uncomfortable, she feels like she's suffocating. Kiryu, when will she get to see you? She misses you so much.

It's been two weeks since she came here and yet she has not seen what's beyond this room. Beyond these dark grey and cold walls. She's gotten accustomed to this lifestyle. This is, how things are supposed to be. A person like her, from the very start, was never supposed to live in a world of light. Just like her mother, she was supposed to suffer due to the darkness. And yet, the entire time she's lived such a sheltered and protected lifestyle. Contrary to her father not taking care of her properly in the years her mother disappeared. She always had people beside her. That's why she didn't realize how truly harmful it was. The darkness.

'Why are you scared?'

'Hey hey aren't we friends?'

.. ..

She can't remain this way!

Lila gradually gets up, she wants to...see the light. Even if it's a little bit. Despite the terrible condition her body was in, she somehow manages to get up and walked out of the room. There are no windows in her room, so the nearest place was beyond the stairs. The staircase down was long and she only remembers climbing it once, and that was two weeks ago. It's been a long time since she has last used her legs like this. She's been locked up in that room, and... She shudders and shakes her head. For now, let's focus on getting downstairs.

It took her a while but she somehow manages to get down. Lila pushes open the nearest door and was grateful that nobody was inside. It seemed to be a small archive of documents. Rows of filing cabinets, seeing the curtains on the other end; she makes her way over. Normally, she would be more interested in places like this. After all, there's most likely hidden knowledge stored in these cabinets that guy has not shared with her. But right now she wants nothing more than to get a glimpse of the light. If she does, then perhaps the voices would stop haunting her.

Soichiro said to her, that his 'training.' methods are working. However, it feels like she's only further stepping into the darkness and getting worst. She would not be surprised if that was the case. After all, this alliance is only a temporary truce. Lila tugs on the curtain and opens it, a ray of light hit her eyes. It's so bright... After adjusting her eyes to the light, her gaze fell on the city. Two weeks. Two weeks into this town and yet she barely got a glimpse of it. When Soichiro picked her up, he literally ushered her quickly into the car and the curtains in the car were shut. It's as though from the moment she stepped foot here, he wanted to trap her in the darkness. What a beautiful town, in this place, those two are here. The person she wants to meet again, and the person she made a promise too.

Lila knows that the two have desperately been searching for her. When Soichiro visits her, sometimes she overhears his conversations with someone outside her room. It wasn't hard to tell who the 'fool' who had been desperately searching for her, or the 'naive girl.' was. She was happy, hearing their names. It helped calm her heart. And for a while, she kept listening for any news regarding them. However, perhaps Soichiro noticed a change in her condition, but she never heard him talking in front of her again.

She hears a rattle behind her, "Oh, so you finally got up."

She turns to the source of the voice, to spot a man with white hair around 6 feet tall approaching her. She looks at him briefly before turning her gaze back on to the scenery of the town. She doesn't want to talk to him. Now that she's able to think rationally, she's disgusted by this mans very presence.

Her thoughts break off when she feels Soichiro's fingers on her hair. "Let go."

"Now you speak."

".... Is it today?"

A sly smile appears on the man's face, as he nodded, "It's a shame, I was thinking how nice it is. That I've been keeping you all to myself for the past two weeks." Feeling his lips linger on her hair, she pulls back.

"Now dear, don't look at me like that. Who is thanks to, that you've undergone such a transformation?"

...

"As I recall, I was the one who asked this to be done to my hair."

"Right, right. But, I chose all your clothes."

Lila exhales deeply.

It's not like she had much of a choice. She walks over to the stained-glass window, that was overlooking the town. She's been here for two weeks, but she hasn't gone out once. She didn't just idly spend her time though. Blood. The color of blood, a bright red. In the past two weeks, that color has remained the center of her world.

"What are you thinking?"

"That the world is so cold."

Without Kiryu, it's always so cold.

"Austin Kiryu again? Gee, even after half a month."

"When, will I be allowed to see him?"

She hears a deep sigh behind her, "Not for a while, I can't give you an exact estimation. Since we still don't know how your condition will fair after going outside."

"Am I not allowed to write to him?"

"As you know, that letter Wataru sent was discovered. Thankfully, you were still able to keep it. Well, if it's another letter or two. Maybe after a month and a bit, it'll be alright."

Lila nods.

"..."

"I can't take you there, but your senior brothers will. They'll give you the rest of the instructions then."

He turned to walk away but she tugs on his jacket.

"I miss Kiryu."

"....."

"And, I'm so hungry. So thirsty..."

He turns her around and her arms wrapped around his neck.

"I'm so hungry,"

"Drink from me."

"I hate you.."

"Yeah, we should keep that way."

Since she's able to think clearly, Lila could sense it. The pain in this man's voice. He's also suffering. But, right now. It's difficult just trying to remain sane, she has no time to worry about others.
