So many people came, Lila peeked through the curtain. While there was still some time before the event started, people have been pouring inside since an hour ago. To think there would be such a difference between the second and third round. Now she understands why this round was originally the solo song round.
Naturally, with this large gathering, it would be wise to use this opportunity to get scouted or get new jobs. Most people who enter the Dream Stars tournament don't have agencies. The majority have registered through their schools, and gather work by themselves. Lila had to admit that she was impressed by all these people. She knew how hard it was to get work even with a good manager and agency. Yet there are many people here who gather these jobs by themselves.
Still, two and a half hours to go. Or is it three? Either way, Lila knew it was far too early. It surprised her that the starting was delayed. The judges and organizers have been preparing for the third round for a while now. So Lila thought everything was sorted by now. But supposedly some problems popped up, hence the delay. Jae-hee and Yori said they would have a dance out before the performance and extended the invitation to her too. But Lila knew better than to compete with those two.
'Save stamina before the live,' she thought. If she accepted their challenge then performing would surely be difficult for her. That's why, instead Lila made her way to the judges area. It should be here somewhere, Lila found the familiar sign and walked down until she spotted a longue.
Despite several people being around, Lila could make out Haruka's figure. He was surrounded by a group of people, a dark aura around him, a frown on his face, "Haruka," Lila called out.
The dark expression on Haruka's face vanished, and he stood up.
"Hey, need something?"
"I wanted to relax a bit before the start. Are you free now?" Lila asked. It looked like they were in the middle of a discussion, so she wasn't sure if it was wise to interrupt.
"Yeah let's go," the others looked at him dumbfounded.
"Aren't you busy?"
"No, were done here," Haruka said. One of the men in the group looked like he was going to say something but immediately shut up, when he saw Haruka's face.
Lila tilted her head confused, but Haruka made his way over and wrapped his arms around her. Then he bent down and lightly kissed her lips, "Mm, thanks for saving me," he said softly so only she could hear.
Lila smiled, "Ah-huh, your welcome."

She has her own private dressing room. At first, Lila protested saying it would be bad if other contestants posted things on the net about favouritism. But then Haruka pointed out how her condition hasn't been good lately. It would be quote, 'even more troublesome if she fainted

He complimented her; she feels a bit happy. Lila ran her hand through his hair than his face, "Don't you want to relax?"
"This is relaxing for me, getting my fill of you before you go on stage."

But other than his good looks there are other reasons why she drops all her morals and sleeps with him like a beast in heat. And yes she does have her reasons. So, she probably ought to take it back when she arrived.

Lila nodded, "Yeah, I bought one when you suggested last year that I need a place to relax. A place that isn't home." Of course, she didn't get a chance to use it much. The moment it was decided that she would be leaving. Lila didn't go in the apartment and spent her remaining days with Kiryu.
"So, nothing will change?"
Haruka seemed surprised, and Lila nodded. Her eyes widened in alarm when she realized something, "Wait, did you already make plans?"
By plans, she meant his living arrangements.
"Yeah, I booked the same hotel room I did when I stayed over last year. Coincidentally it's free again," Haruka explained. He emphasized the word coincidentally, and Lila immediately knew it was a set up of some kind.
Of course, with Haruka completely blowing off the original plan of the trip, his company will make other arrangements. A deep sigh passed her lips; this really won't be easy for her. Those people will continue getting in her way.
"What's wrong?" and here's another thing she likes about him. He notices when something is wrong with her. Haruka doesn't have to read her thoughts; he just understands. It comes naturally to him.
"I was thinking of the long list of reasons why I like you, and why I have sex with you."
Haruka laughed at that last part, "So, you have a reason for it, I see?"
"Yep."
Of course, other than the main reason of her being madly in love with him, she has her reasons.
Haruka brushed his face against her hair, hands inter winded with hers, "While I am curious about it. I feel like if you tell me, you wouldn't be able to compete today."
Lila immediately understood what he meant. How stupid. Maybe she shouldn't have gone to find him. That thought is erased when she catches a glimpse of his neck.
