"Whatever the reason is," his lips brushed against her hair, "You look very beautiful tonight."

Ah, it really is like what Kiryu said. Haruka will accept her regardless of her appearance or not. But, didn't she already know that? Haruka returned to cooking, but Lila wanted his attention, so she placed light kisses on Haruka cheek and neck before he turned around and she kissed his lips. It was only supposed to be brief, but as expected, it was not like that for him.

"Gosh, are you trying to distract the chef?"

"Nngh, but aren't you my exclusive one," she panted against his lips, "Shouldn't you listen to what I want on the menu?"

He chuckled, "True, what do you want on the menu, dear mistress?"

"Haruka."

"Now that, I can give you."

....
Lila is very embarrassed; what did she do there? Did she have to seduce him and ruin the moment? For once, he wasn't getting frisky with her, and yet she ruined it... She quickly left the shower and got changed. She checked in the mirror that her clothes were okay, before leaving the room and making her way back down the stairs. She made her way back to where Haruka was.

Haruka gently kissed her, "Smell nice."

Lila nodded, 'is he finished cooking?' She looked over and saw that the table had been set up. A fresh pale blue table cloth was spread on the glass table, a vase of gorgeous flowers in the center.

She hugged his arm, and Haruka smiled, "Like it?"

"I do, it's beautiful."

"Mm, let's sit down."

She does as he said and sat down beside him, though she knew it would be better to sit opposite him. Lila wanted to be near him, Haruka seemed very amused about in his words, 'sudden desires towards him,' but Lila leaned into him.

"What's the matter with you today? You're bold."

She wanted to ask whether Kiryu's theory is correct. Is he really that bothered by what happened with her brother? Sure Lila knew that it upset him but once she heard the other stories from his time in Ireland.

"I want for us to get closer tonight," Lila shyly asked him.

"Closer, huh?"

"Yes, is that not okay?" If this is the only way for Haruka to open up to her, then she will use it.

"I don't mind," his hand ran across her hair, "But, don't push yourself."

He doesn't get it does he? Of course, he wouldn't. Lila hid her disappointment as she turned her attention to the food. Haruka had made her quite the feast, a mix of Asian and western dishes. After eating western meals for so long though, Lila reached out for the Asian dishes first.

"Good?"

"Tasty," Lila beamed happily. For a split moment, she forgot all her worries.

But it was only for a moment when she saw a distant look on Haruka's face. Why does he look like that again? Though it was true when they first went out with each other, she would often see him make this expression, but over time it faded. At least that's what she thought, 'something is still troubling his heart greatly,' Lila thought. After seeing his reaction in the airport that day, Lila knew that their relationship still needed a lot of work. For one, the matter of trust. She trusts him, and he trusts her, at least on the surface.

Lila ran her hand through his chest as she positioned herself on his lap, "What's wrong with you today?" Haruka muttered as he looped his hands around her waist.

"I just, I'm just uneasy," Lila admitted.

"About?"

"Us."

Lila didn't want to tell him that for a while now. No, since that time she met with Sophia she's been worrying about their relationship.

"What is there to worry about?"

"Haruka," she noticed his change of tone, "It's just," how does she explain it? In the beginning, while Lila noticed they had problems, she turned a blind eye to everything. But there's a limit to what she can pretend not to see. For one Haruka's friends and the people, he hangs around with. He is not mixed with a good crowd and while she doesn't want to meddle in his affairs too much. Lila is very worried about him whenever he goes out. Those 'friends' of his are friends in name. None of them care about his well being.

Secondly, the girls who like him. While she dealt with similar problems when she was with Kiryu, there is something wrong with the girls who like Haruka. They all have that crazy look in their eyes, Lila feels like they will do anything even if it meant harming Haruka to get with him.

Haruka suddenly scooped her up and laid her down on the couch, as he buttons his shirt. He brought his lips to her neck and started to place kisses there, "Tell me," he murmured, "Why are you so uneasy?"

"I," how come she can't tell him? There are a lot of things she just listed in her thoughts. All she has to do is talk to him about it, and then he would clarify it for her. It's that simple and yet, what is she doing right now?

"Haruka, why are we like this?"

"It's easier to talk this way, don't you think?"

She supposes it is, 'for him,' but her? Would this method work? Sensing her conflict, Haruka continued to place kisses on her neck and loosened her blouse. Unlike earlier, this just felt desperate and needy, not at all romantic.

"Ari, hah," he panted against her chest, "Do you know how gorgeous you look?" Gorgeous he says, she just put on a casual dress, "Beautiful," Haruka kept commenting, "And all mine."

'Ah, there it is again,' while Lila always used such possessive sounding terms when she was dating Kiryu. It felt different whenever Haruka used it, it's like he is trying to see into her very soul and posses her that way, Lila, however, had to admit that she liked the way he was touching her now, "Haruka, I like this a lot," and she really did. Even though she knew this was the last thing they ought to be doing.

Talk, Terashima Lila just talk to him about it. If she doesn't speak to him, he would never understand. Lila wonders why it was so difficult; it was so easy for her to talk to Kiryu and tell him everything. But with Haruka, she always ends up not being able to convey what she wants to say properly.

"Ah...uh."

Haruka looked up, "Hurts?"

Lila shook her head, "No, continue."

"Would you rather kiss?" Haruka asked, but he was already moving towards her lips.

.....

When Lila did wake up, Haruka is on the phone to somebody, "Yeah, I got it. I'll go."
'Go?' Where is he going? Lila panicked, is he leaving now? She doesn't want him to go. How does she get him to stay? Despite the weak feeling in her body, Lila got up, she wrapped the blanket clumsily over her bare frame and made her way over to where Haruka was. At least she attempted to, but she didn't get very far.

"What are you doing? Lay back down."

Lila however determinedly tried to walk over, Haruka sighed and walked over to her, "What's wrong? I'll be right there."

"Leave, don't leave."

Haruka gently kissed her forehead, "I won't go anywhere," but he just said on the phone... "That's for another time, gee, don't worry okay? I won't leave your side tonight."

Those words would sound a lot better if he didn't say the last line. Lila nodded and wrapped her arms around his neck. Haruka turned to his phone, "Look, I'm busy now. Let's talk another time, yeah? Mmm, mm," after a few more words, Lila watched as he ended the call. Haruka looked towards her, "Do you want me to continue?"

"Haruka, I want you to be close to me."

"Let's lay you back down."

Haruka picked her up and placed her down on the bed, as he sat up and gently caressed her hair, "I don't know what's wrong with you. But you can take your time. I won't rush you."

Why is Haruka acting so kind, when he should be questioning her odd behavior? She was acting like a spoilt brat there, complaining about something but not explaining things. Lila tugged on his hand, "I love you, Haruka."

"What brought this on?"

"Is it wrong for me to say it?"

It feels like she doesn't say it enough, maybe that's what the problem is here. Perhaps it's because she doesn't convey it enough, that he thinks there is still something between her and Kiryu. Maybe, maybe she ought t- Lila's thoughts broke off when she felt Haruka's gaze on her, he was looking at her with such a gentle look in his eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lila said shyly; she feels a bit embarrassed.

"I was thinking about how lucky I am."

Lila looked at him, puzzled, "Lucky?"

Haruka laid down beside her, and brought her closer to him, "Lucky that I met you again, lucky that you went on this journey. Otherwise, my chances would have been pretty bad, wouldn't you say so?"

That's true, part of the reason why she realized she was in love with Haruka was because she was with him every day. If she stayed in Universal Star Town, even if Haruka remained in town - they would not have as many opportunities to spend time with each other.
