Haruka still hasn't realized that he's rendered her speechless and instead believes that she's mad at him - which is stupid. After he gave her such a lovely and passionate kiss, why would she be angry? Then again, Haruka seems to overthink a lot of things. Since she couldn't speak, Lila simply conveyed it by pressing her lips against his again.
"Well, you could have just said," Haruka was smiling now.

When she finally regained her voice, Haruka is laughing at her, "I thought you were angry," he explained.
"I'm not that petty!"
He kissed her cheek lightly, "I know," he trailed off, "But you have to admit whenever you space out, it's hard to tell what you're thinking."
True, but it's not like she's always spacing out. It's only once in a while. Okay, so maybe it happens a lot these days. But that's because she has a lot on her mind now.
"I like your kisses Haruka, but you know I'm not good," though Haruka always insists that she's gotten better. Lila knows she hasn't; otherwise, Haruka wouldn't be the one in control whenever they kiss, "But, I remember you saying you would teach me, when is that happening?"
Haruka laughed, "Anytime, dearest."
Anytime, so she can ask him for lessons regarding kissing anytime? But Lila knew how busy his schedule was. There was no way she could ask him 'anytime' for kissing lessons. Then again, is this the right time for her to get so worked up regarding kisses? Later in the day, she would finally visit her old school. She's been back in town for a while now, but she had yet to visit. Since she arrived, it has come to her attention that the number of people who hate her has increased. So while she may have moved some peoples hearts with her little performance, an act of heroism by saving Kiryu from the press. The amount of hate towards her is real now.
Lila thought she got enough hate as Haruka's girlfriend. But it seems her leaving Kiryu practically turned the whole town against her. However, because of Kiryu's attitude towards her - nobody has said anything offensive. Other than those girls earlier, Lila has heard nothing.
Despite her clearing up rumors, there are still people who think Kiryu and Selia-chan are a couple which is like gross because Selia-chan's changed so much. She's never been the type to judge somebody, but Selia-chan's drastic change made her feel sick.
"So, what do you want to do for dinner?"
"Burger night."
Haruka smiled, "You really like simple meals, huh?"
"Of course I do."
If it's burger night, they can get all cuddly and close on the couch and watch a movie together. She may be an elite Princess, but Lila has never flaunted or cared about wealth too much. Haruka probably only cares about it too, because for him it's a means for survival.
Lila recalled what he just said about the kissing thing and asked, "You found out?"
"He told me himself."
Kiryu did what? Though she knew Kiryu would win in a fist fight, admitting that is way too dangerous.
"When?"
"During the challenge."
Ah, so that's why they stopped for a bit.
"You didn't fight?"
"I honestly wanted to wipe the floor with that guys face, but you know I'd probably lose," Haruka said with a frustrated look, "Maybe I should go back to working out more."
Lila laughed, "Um, I don't think that would help much," there's a reason why Kiryu is stronger than Haruka. Workouts in the gym won't make much of a difference. Still, she's happy with his reply.

Later on the day (2:00 PM, Universal Star Academy)
Lila felt nervous as she arrived on the grounds of her old school. Things had changed a lot in town, so Lila knew it would be the same here too. The moment Lila stepped out of the car though, a party of people greets her with poppers and streamers - pop. Loads of people gathered at the gate. Those from her class and the song class, including her fellow Goddess4 members, the members of the God5 and Seven Stars. Some girls from the song class were holding a banner that said, 'Welcome back Lila,'
Despite this warm welcome, however, Lila felt uncomfortable. Something felt amiss, amongst the genuine greeting - there were those who were giving her funny looks.
"Don't forget your coat," a warm voice said right beside her ear.
"Haruka."
The people who were clapping and welcoming her all stopped to stare.
"So it's true?"
"She betrayed Kiryu-sama."
"Gosh, what a letdown."
"Selia-sama is so much better."
Hearing where those voices came from, it was a large group from the female song class who she was in good terms with before. It stung, though Lila should have expected it.
Kasumi, however, stepped forward and clapped her hands, "Alright, we should all get back to class now. There will be plenty of time to welcome Lila back later during the break."

Goddess 4 and God5 Gardens
Maaya, who was fuming since earlier finally let out her anger, "I can't believe the nerve of those girls! Without you, they wouldn't have been able to get to where they are today."
Her sweat fell, "That's an over exaggeration, I simply discovered them and gave them the boost they needed."
"Exactly, you discovered them. If you didn't, then they'd still be in the same position as before."
"Knock it off, Lila is tired from her journey here," Wataru said, "Your new apartment is in the other side of town, you must be tired."
"Ah, yeah."
"But the other side of town, huh, the location isn't very convenient," Rinna pointed out.
Lila can't exactly tell them that it was Haruka's instruction last year that lead to that choice though he insisted before it was so she could get some peace and quiet. Lila finally understood why.
Shichiro stepped in though, "But it is for her to relax, if she chose an apartment nearby, then the media would be bothering her every day. Reporters seldom live in her area of the town now, so she gets her peace."
"R-right," Lila felt awkward about it. Haruka advised her in that manner because he was planning ahead for the future. Though she doubts he thought they would ever get together.
"Sorry Eijiro, Shougo, and Kiryu aren't here today. Those three are busy with work," Shichiro apologized.
Lila nodded, "It's okay," besides she saw Kiryu earlier, and since she got back, she's been seeing a lot of him.
"It's good to have you back."
'Back,' everybody keeps saying those words to her. But this is just her visiting; she's still going to finish off her second year in Light Town, in Light Academy. However, everybody is treating this as her coming back for real. Lila doesn't want them to misunderstand things.
Before Lila could say anymore, Haruka suddenly stood up, "Just going to answer my phone, okay?"
Lila looked at him with an uneasy expression, and she extended her hand out. Haruka gives it to her, and she sees the familiar number despite having only seen it one time. It belonged to Sophia. "..."
Haruka pulled her to her feet.
"Don't worry; I'll be quick."
"Ah-huh," she said half-heartedly. With those words said Haruka left.
Lila hadn't realized that everybody else had huddled up into a circle.
"Did you see that?" Rinna whispered.
"I saw."
"It was something alright."
Maaya nodded, "You can tell they must do it a lot, from the way he casually wrapped his arms around her waist like that."
"Maaya, quiet!"
Her sweat fell; they were supposedly whispering. But she could hear everything they were saying; she supposes some things just don't change no matter how much time passed by. Lila saw no reason to hide it from them, but she felt awkward speaking about it with the guys around, so Kasumi sent them away. Once they left, the four of them sat around the round table in the center, and she told them everything.
Maaya and Rinna's faces looked like they were going to explode.
"I--I--knew something was amiss… Lila looked so much more mature."
"T-they do say that--- doing it a lot makes you prettier but," Rinna shook her head, "I didn't think it would be like this."

Is she that different now? The only person who wasn't red and exploding with the news was Kasumi. Her best friend wore a deep frown on her face. Uh, is she in trouble? Kasumi's always believed that having sex is supposed to be a romantic thing. With the way Haruka touches her though, it's no longer passionate but just pure lust. Maaya and Rinna must have noticed the tense atmosphere since they stopped their chatter.
Lila had forgotten this feeling, Iwa Kasumi was known as the 'Ice Princess' for a reason, that's because when she gets angry - rather than express her anger in an explosive manner like most people do. Kasumi takes a different approach. Lila has never experienced Kasumi getting mad at her though, aside from when her friend is getting angry regarding her health. This time though it was different and Lila knew she was in trouble.
