If he breaks completely, would he deserve Lila then? Haruka honestly didn't know what to do anymore. This was the reason why he never considered a proper relationship with her. Haruka didn't think she would one day accept his feelings, and even if she did. He was supposed to push her away. How on earth did it end up with him dating her? A deep and long sigh escaped his lips as his gaze flickered onto the girl who was panting heavily beneath him.

"Haruka," the girl's voice always sounded so sexy no matter what she did. Haruka liked sex; he liked the bliss and rush and the heat. He enjoyed hearing the girl's moans and begging - he liked feeling superior. But most of all, the most important thing was it made him feel whole. It made him feel wanted.

"What do you want to do?"

"Just once," Lila nodded, "One time."

Haruka smiled, "That's not how you beg."

Lila blushed and hit his chest with her pretty hands, but Haruka grabbed hold of them, "Beg me, babe, I like it a lot."

"Idiot! Why are you acting so strange?"

"Who says I am."

"Ah, geez, I won't do it," Lila's cheeks were so red at this point, "Something that embarrassing."

....

Even as famous as he is now. Haruka does not forget about those days Haruka doesn't forget how everything started.

Haruka hated school; he hated most things back then. But he mainly hated that place, all the people there were worthless in his eyes. They would spend so much time talking about people behind their backs. One second they would try to curry favor with you and act kind. But the moment they find out you have no use to them, or in his case are ten times better they scorn you. It was the same for him.

At first, people thought they could take advantage of him, but the moment they realized they couldn't they stopped. Instead, they turned to bullying. People say that those who get bullied are either the poor or kind-hearted individuals. But even somebody who is rich and tough, somebody with opposite attributes can be subjected to bullying.

Like himself, those people say all sorts of things behind his back. But Haruka didn't bother with it. It isn't his fault that he didn't see the need to interact with them. All of them are fake and worthless in his eyes. Besides, all of these people only want to take advantage of his power and use it for themselves. In people's eyes, the rich are gullible individuals who can be tricked and deceived. If they encounter somebody who isn't like that, they are subjected to bullying.

Even if they didn't bully him and tried to get to know him properly, who would befriend a guy who was abandoned? He would always space out whenever they talked because he wanted nothing to do with them. The topics those people spoke about were utterly useless, and he would walk fast so he could get away from the absurdity of it all. He would find a quiet spot like the rooftop and just stare into space there.

There in that spot, he would think about it, freedom - and a dream he long abandoned. The dream of becoming a musician, to sing on a large stage. Even when he was working around the store, his mind would wander off. 'One day, I'll be free.'

Then he meets Atsuya, that guy stood out a great deal. So whenever Atsuya would call out to him, it would draw so many people's attention. Sometimes Haruka would overhear people's comments, and it made him feel even more bitter inside. Those people would comment that Atsuya only approached him because he wanted to improve his image as the nice guy.

Haruka would always increase his pace whenever he's walking; he didn't want to let the bitterness show on his face. Those people don't know what they are talking about; they are only trying to cause problems for him. That's what Haruka wanted to continue believing, anyway. Haruka distanced himself from Atsuya for the longest time, until that man shoved CDs in his face and gives him music-related items.

Haruka kept the CDs for a long time since he couldn't use the money those people gave him.

Then they end up becoming friends; their friendship is unusual, and Haruka never understood why Atsuya chose somebody like him to stand by his side. Atsuya was the complete opposite him, smart, friendly, and kind. He was well-liked by people.

If it weren't for that incidence, even now would the two of them have remained friends? It felt like their friendship was slowly falling apart, even before he started to make moves towards Yumeko. Would anything have changed? Wouldn't he have fallen into despair regardless of what happened with Atsuya or not? Sometimes Haruka couldn't help but wonder about it.

He spends more time with Atsuya, much to that person's irritation. At first, Haruka thought he was simply passing the time. This friendship with Atsuya would end up just like the others, Haruka didn't think much about it. But before he knew it Haruka started to enjoy his time with Atsuya; talking about this and that and time seems to be an issue when it's time to go to bed, and they're in the middle of exchanging stories about school. They sit together at meals, and he learns that Ren tries to get thirds when they're serving miso soup.

They steal each other's desert and laugh, and the atmosphere is much more enjoyable. At school, they only get to talk when it's lunch break, and when the school year's coming to an end, he's kinda sad because he'll be at the high school a few blocks away so they can't talk on the way back. One day Ren shows up in his room with a guitar and strums a few chords.

"Where did you get that?" Haruka asked. Quite some time had passed since he last saw one. A guitar. While he dabbled with music a few times even after that person's death, Haruka didn't take it seriously as before. He only played music in bars from time to time to gain some extra cash.

"I found it at the warehouse."

"Ah, you still go?"

Atsuya nodded, "Yeah, it's in pretty good condition."

"Hmm."

"You know, we can start a band," Atsuya said.

Haruka looked up and saw the excited look in his friends face, "I'll think about it."

----

Present

Haruka thought about it. For the longest time anyway. Just when he was about to answer, all of that happened, and before he knew it, he lost the chance forever to tell his friend.

Despite what it would seem like, his whole attention isn't completely focused on the girl named Terashima Lila. Even he pays attention to the matters regarding other girls like Aizawa Mei. Haruka has longed stopped feeling so awkward around her. It's already been such a long time since he stopped feeling awkward. They got along from the very beginning. It was a real shame; however, that he would have to end up breaking his ties with her so soon. However, the girl's attitude towards Lila was appalling. He didn't want to put Lila in any more danger, and thus he has to end it.

His gaze flickered onto the girl who laid fast asleep, peacefully beside him. At least that's what he thought until he found her peering at him from under the blanket, "What are you doing, babe?"

"Um, staring."

"Aren't you going to be late?" Haruka thought she would leave right away after they finished. So when the girl stayed with him, it surprised him. Maybe, "Does your body hurt? Should I get some medicine?"

Lila laughed, "No, I'm fine."

Is she? He's really worried about her; lately, Haruka reached over and pulled the girl into his arms, hugging her tightly. Basking in her scent and saying her name repeatedly.

"Haruka, I love you so much."

Haruka looked at her, really looked. Lila was looking at him with such bright eyes and flushed cheeks. This girl isn't lying when she says she loves him, nor is she trying to get anything out of it. She genuinely has feelings for him.

"Me, too," Haruka murmured, "I love you so much."

"I have a request Haruka."
