Hmmm, Lila looked at the sheets in her hands and deeply sighed. Something is still wrong, isn't it? But, Lila looked at the crowd. Oddly, people haven't figured out it was her yet. As of late Lila decided that she would do things that good old-fashioned way and do street lives. Lately, her urge to sing and perform in front of people has increased a great deal. However, with the current negative rumors surrounding her, booking a venue proved to be complicated.

That success with the Universal Star academy event was just one-off thing. She has to do a lot to regain people's trusts. Plus, her gaze fell on the boards that were displaying Aizawa Mei's new songs. She has to beat that woman.

"The brightest star can't shine alone

Without everybody, I will not be where I am today..."

"Isn't that Terashima Lila?"

"Eh, but she's singing ballad songs."

"Idiot, she's a multi-talented idol."

Oh good, she's attracting a crowd. But will they stay? Lately, she isn't so sure. Lila thought she knew the impact of what negative rumors would have on her career. But it seems like she underestimated it. Still, she loves to sing and music - music has always been so very important to her. With her songs, she's been able to convey so many feelings. Because of music, she encountered so many people.

….

"Sister! Wahhh," Lila cried, "I thought you didn't want to see me. You've been avoiding me." At some point during her performance, somebody started to sing along. Since it was a large crowd, Lila couldn't see at first, and they purposely sang slowly. But Lila knew that voice better than anybody.

Her sister laughed and wiped her tears away, "There, there. Why would I avoid you?"

"Because I'm dating Haruka?"

A giggle escaped her sister's lips, "Unlike everybody else I'm not biased. I just want you to be happy Lila-chan," her gaze softened, "And besides when I watched you two on the island, I had a feeling this would happen, anyway."

Eh, ever since back then?

Kyoko smiles, "My mindset is clear now," at that she watches the blonde-haired girl extends her hands out as if embracing the sky, "I understand what I have to do next," she turned back to her, "The song just now is a wonderful song."

At that, she looks away rather nervously, "Aha...you found out?"

"Well, you know I frequently walk around here. Members of the idol association do as well," Kyoko smiles, " Of course I'd be able to tell it was your voice. It really is a lovely song." So that's what happened. Come to think of it; she felt as though that one of the people that she distributed the CD too was a bit strange. But really to think, they are members of the association, her sweat dropped. She really does need to be more careful.

"Thank you. But it was written as a love song though."

"And I'm sure it reached him," Kyoko smiles, "Fufu, I wonder if he knows about it yet? That your singing love songs you wrote for him out here?"

Lila deeply sighed, "If he knew, he would quit acting like an idiot all the time I'm sure," she trailed off and recalled his expression from this morning. That person has serious issues. She thought she understood where his insecurities came from. But now she doesn't. Why is he always so uneasy? Lila simply doesn't understand it anymore.

"It seems like Kasumi-chan has an upcoming solo live recently, at the stadium."

Lila nodded happily, "En, it's amazing, isn't it? Hardly anyone gets a chance to perform there. It's a good opportunity for her."

Kyoko's gaze softened, "It was because of you."

"Because of me?"

"You know Lila-chan, I always knew it would be you. The one to surpass Kumi-senpai, the one to overcome me, the one to inspire the new generation."

"But, you…"

Her sister stood up and walked over to the railing. A deep gust of wind surrounded her sister, "It isn't me," Kyoko trailed off, "When I failed the Goddess4 auditions, I realized it wasn't me."

"But you were number one."

"Yes, I made it to the top," Kyoko trailed off, "But, I knew my limit. Lila-chan, you reached a stage where I couldn't. The same as Mother."

Is her sister talking about that space? But, didn't she reach much further?

"I'm confused."

Kyoko laughed, "Yes, yes, I can imagine. But, you'll figure it out. You've always been able to."

She has? But, "These days I find myself lost quite often."

"That's also a normal part of the growth process."

"Sister," Lila called out, "When can I compete against you again?"

"Lila-chan's always competitive when it comes to me. But what's driving you this time?"

What's driving her? This time, why is she...

"You don't have to answer that right away Lila-chan. I understand, your still an idol but things are different in contrast to how things were before. Like Mother, like myself, you have to make countless decisions that will end up severely affecting your future," Kyoko trailed off, "These decisions may be painful for you. But I believe you will make the right choice."

"Was it painful for you?"

"It was, but thanks to you, things have changed for me."

Lila looked down, "But, I'm still hesitant about That's right, even though she has decided. There are those times where ...where she finds herself in that pitch-black world again.

Kyoko shook her head and smiled, " That in itself is not wrong. I said it just now didn't I? Even if our circumstances are different, you're still standing in the same place as Mother and me. Whatever road you choose, however, will depend on you."

Oh, that's right, this person from the very beginning. She was anything but perfect, all those incidences and everything she has gone through. The elder party turned it into strength, this person who always seemed to shine despite being in pain. It's sister who is amazing.

"Everything started from you," Lila murmured.

"Indeed, but," Kyoko smiles, "This is your story now, your generation. As the number one idol of this time, you know what it is that you have to do."

…..

Lila's apartment

"I'm home, Haruka?" Lila called out. Did he leave? Lila quickly made her way up the stairs and hurried to her room. He wouldn't just leave like that, would he? Maybe somebody is here with him? Lila recalled that time last year she caught Rosalia and Kiryu together before they went out. The sight truly broke her heart.

Lila quickly arrived at the room and immediately opened the door. She glanced around but couldn't find Haruka anywhere. Did he leave? She took out her phone and called him only to hear his ringtone in the room. He's still here, the other phone? Lila called the other and hears the sound too. A relieved sigh passed her lips, just as she was about to get dressed the doors to the bathroom opened. There stood Haruka, a towel draped across his waist and his hair still wet.

Lila blushed and looked away, "S--sorry, were you busy?"

"Hm? Just had a shower," Haruka walked over, he wrapped his arms around her waist. His lips on her neck, "And you, smell good."

"L--let me get changed first."

"Change?" Haruka drawled, "Keep wearing this, you look pretty."

He complimented her. Lila nodded, and Haruka led her to the couch.

"Haruka, why didn't you go to work?"

"I want to stay with my wife today,"

"I have work later," Lila reminded him.

"That's why we're relaxing till then."

Well, she can't say no to that. It's comfortable being held by him like this too. Lila turned around, she gently caressed his face with her hands, "Haruka, why are you so handsome?"

Haruka laughed, "That's a problem?"

"It is," Lila stated flatly. If he weren't so handsome, other women wouldn't go near him. Those vixen women only like him because he's good looking, none of them genuinely have feelings for him.

"Iwa Kasumi was here earlier; she left you something."

"Kasumi?"

Haruka pointed to the table, "Looks like a song."

Eh? Lila immediately rushed over and picked up the brown envelope. Her eyes widened when she saw the music, "One of my new songs?"

"Yeah, I gave her some awhile back."

Lila looked at him, confused, "Why did you do that?"

"Lila, you're still apart of the Goddess4, and they haven't had a new song in a long time. Don't you think it was perfectly reasonable of me?"

"But," Lila looked down, "The situation with the idol association board hasn't been cleared up yet. I'm not sure if it's safe for me to be singing alongside everybody just yet." Lila didn't want to cause problems for the others, so she didn't try to suggest a performance.

"So even if your voice didn't get hurt then."

"Yes, I would have rejected to perform with them," her gaze landed on the song, "Right now, the current me doesn't deserve to perform with everybody else first."

A deep sigh escaped Haruka's lips, and he reached over and pinched her cheeks, "Ouch, ouch. What are you doing bullying me for Haruka?"Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

"Such a negative mindset. Why do you think that way? Do you think I'll raise a bad star?"

"I know you have an eye for talent Haruka. But really, you have to admit I've failed so many times. I just somehow pull things off during the actual live performance."

"What's wrong with that? You manage before you go on stage, that's all that matters. Everybody screws up during practice, as long as you get it right at the end."

"But, isn't a number one idol somebody who is supposed to be perfect?" Lila recalled whenever she practiced with Ageha or her sister; the two didn't make any mistakes during practice. "Somebody who shines regardless of the time or place."

"So, why do you think there is something wrong with you? You're always shining."

Lila blinked confused at his words.

She's always shining? Come to think of it; her sister was talking about her radiance being brighter now. Is it just her overthinking things? But even if that's the case, "Don't you think I fail too much?"

"That's because you get too emotional," Haruka trailed off, "But well, for somebody who sings for everyone's sake, getting too emotional isn't bad. Your songs," Haruka tapped his fingers on the table, "...tend to express the feelings people have been keeping in their hearts."

"Ah-huh," Lila nodded, "But, some people don't like that, right? They think I'm prying too much."

"Initially nobody would like the idea of somebody expressing the emotions they kept away. But, if you sing from the bottom of your heart, then the person your singing for will reach an understanding. You have to move their hearts with your performance. While you may fail at practice, whenever you're on stage, you're just fine," Haruka trailed off, "The only difference, the audience?"

"Haruka?"
