Lila wondered herself, what was wrong with her today? Why was she acting so strange, even going so far as seducing Haruka? Seducing? He is her husband, so isn't it okay? Lila did not say a word and remained silent. These days when she is with Haruka, she feels so strange.

…..

October XX Lila's Apartment

Lila doesn't meet with Haruka for a couple of days. No, she wasn't trying to avoid him. She just wanted to think for a bit. Still, Lila wanted to check. It seems like it really is difficult for her to stay away from Haruka. Then again, Lila didn't even know why she was desperately trying to hide from him in the first place. The two of them didn't have a fight or anything; they parted on good terms that day. That night, she slept so peacefully in his arms too. While she is here, she may as well fetch that dress. As these thoughts ran through her mind, Lila didn't notice the bathroom door opening.

She looked around, 'Time to search,' as Lila said this though she suddenly lost her footing. But she didn't hit the ground, a pair of strong arms pulled her up.

"U--m….t--hank…you," Lila stammered. The reason why she is stammering like an idiot? Haruka had just left the bath; a single towel hung around his waist. He's practically naked; she has to leave quickly before he thinks strange thoughts. With this in mind, Lila pushed him away.

He must noticed how quickly she got of him because she realized the position that they were in. Haruka's eyes twitch in annoyance.

Lila sweat fell, he is definitely misunderstanding something there.

"Did you need me for something?"

"Ah," she shook her head. "No, I just came to get something I left here," that was half the truth anyway. Lila can't tell Haruka that she came all this way because she was worried about him.

Haruka must have noted the awkwardness that filled the girl's tone." It's in the cabinet over there."

Lila nodded and made her way over. The entire walk over, though, she felt an intense gaze on her. She kept her gaze low, 'Make sure he doesn't see her face,' Lila thought. Lila did not need a mirror to know how red her face was right now. Honestly, it was

"W—hat—are you…doing?"

"Did you, really think I'd allow you to get up and leave so easily Lila," he murmurs in her ear.

"Let go of me Haruka, stop kidding around"..

When Lila saw that he clearly had no intention of letting her go, Lila was no longer flustered, and she spoke in a somewhat threatening manner. As he carefully intertwines their hands together, her eyes went wide. He's…

"You weren't hoping for something like this?" he murmurs.

No, she wasn't. In fact, that's why she tried to leave as quickly as possible. But perhaps at the back of her mind, she knew that this would end up happening. That she wouldn't be able to escape from him. A part of her already knew, and yet she still came here. Why is that?

"Don't kid yourself. It wouldn't even matter if you were someone else. It's just the fact that I know your mine. Why am I so nice?" he leans forward then, their lips inches away from each other.

"Because I want to hurt you because I wish to break you."

Despite his cruel words, his kisses are sweet and gentle, and, 'he's trembling.' Lila closed her eyes. What a selfish man. Does he think this stupid act would work on her? How naive of him.

Lila didn't know when she fell asleep, but she noted in the back of her mind it was the best sleep she had had for as long as she could remember. When Lila woke up, she noticed that Haruka was gone and panicked. Whenever he left, it would always remind her of the past, when she saw a note and a beautiful ornament with a blue feather on it.

Ah, a gift.

Babe.

Rest for a while, I should have checked beforehand, but you're not well. You tire out easily when it's this season so you should take naps often.

I don't regret what I did. And I won't apologize for being brash about it either. I want you to understand what my intentions are.

I'm sure I got that point across to you. I'll never let you go, even if I have to bind us with deep crimson shackles. To me, you'll always be the most important.

The hair clip is for you; I bought it a while ago. I hope it suits you.

And remember I'm always here if you need me...

Haruka

Ah ...really, he's an idiot.

Didn't you say you were only trying to hurt her? You really do contradict yourself in more ways than one.

Lila raised her hand towards the air, and she picked up the hairpiece as rays of light hit it... So selfish, even if she is tied to more the one thread - she shouldn't be selfish. And yet, despite the events that just happened.

A part of her was happy that she got to see a different side of him. Even if it's just bit by bit, she did mean the words she said to him that day. More and more, she wishes to know more about him. Her deep thoughts broke when she hears a sound, that's right. She wants to learn more, to the point that she really would do anything.

That sorrowful look and expression, she understood why he said those words. But he really is mistaken. Why does he think she hates him? She has always told him how much she loves him, even though things are like this now, it didn't mean she disliked him.

...…

U Venue

"I want to tell you, even though

The sad times have already past

Close your eyes and feel my moved heart

My gaze at you

Don't wait for a special miracle

There's a rough road in front of us

With unknowable future and obstacles, I won't change

I can't give up

Protect me with an unchanged love

Also my wounded heart

Looking in your eyes, no words are needed

Time has stopped."

Ah? Isn't that, Haruka? Indeed Lila could spot familiar maroon hair, those mesmerizing eyes. He looks handsome as ever.

Yori nudged her in the next turn and Lila snapped out of it, as she sang the verse for the next song.

"I love you with this emotion, just like this

The end to our wandering that we hoped for

The endless sadness in this world

We say goodbye to it all now

In the many indiscernible paths

I just keep following the dim light

We'll do it together to the end

Into our new [world]...

No sooner had the stage ended, Lila quickly rushed off in the direction she saw Haruka. It didn't take her long to find him.

Haruka seemed to be on the phone, but he noticed her presence since he gently ran his hand through her hair, "Yeah, got it. Not tonight," she felt Haruka's gaze on hers, "Mmm, I'll be with my wife. See you," with those words said Haruka switched the phone off.

He turned to her, "Hey."

"Haruka, not angry?"

"I wanted to apologize for earlier. I got a bit worked up."

"Apologizing! Good boy," Lila beamed happily. She genuinely is very happy.

Haruka sighed and pinched her cheeks, "Don't treat me like a child."

"Sorry, sorry!"

"You look good."

Lila flushed red as she drew back from his embrace, "We can't get frisky. Okay?"

"Yeah," however, Haruka kept looking at her, "So good."

Um, for some reason this is getting dangerous quickly. But still, she did miss him.

"Earlier you were trying to act cool, but you didn't do anything other than kiss me."

"Even if I am angry, I'm still rational. I don't want to have sex with you when I'm like that."

Lila stared at him, suspiciously, "But, weren't you pent up?"

"Of course, I'm pent up, but your feelings are more important," he gently caressed her cheeks, "Do you understand?"

When Haruka acts gently like this, she doesn't know what to say. Or rather, whenever he is like this, she ends up feeling dumbfounded. "What's wrong, Lila?"

"N--nothing."

He does have a kind side. A side of himself that he rarely shows to others.

"Do you want to go grab a bite to eat? I know you still have work to do, but you can take a break, right?

From: Lila

I'm going to take my break.

From: Yori

Yes, yes, go go.

Lila rolled her eyes and turned to Haruka, "Where are we going? I'm kinda overdressed as you can see."

Haruka looked her up and down, "Then, I'll take you somewhere fancy."

"Ah-huh."

"Why are you acting docile?"

It's been quite some time since she last saw him this way. Since they came back, a lot has been happening between them. Then again, it's mainly the two of them going back and forth.

Lila extended her hand out, "Hand."

Haruka, who was busy making restaurant preparations raised his eyebrow, but Lila didn't budge, "If we're going on a date, we have to hold hands."

"My dear wife is so whimsical. Sure, take it, it is yours after all."

Her cheeks puffed into a pout, why is he making it sound like she's a brat?

….

The restaurant they arrived at was considered 'fancy' but not too expensive judging from the dishes they were serving. In fact, they were even serving noodles. The people there immediately recognized Haruka and lead him to a private table. Lila frowned, and she tugged his arm, "Did you come here with somebody else before?"

"My dear, why do you always suspect me?" he seemed bothered, and Lila paused. Anybody would be uncomfortable being asked this question a lot.

"I'm just uneasy; you understand, right?"

"Yeah," Haruka nodded, "I didn't come here with anybody yet."Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

"Yet?"

"Mmm, I wanted to take you here."

When she saw the fond smile on his face, a relieved sigh escaped her lips. 'Stop acting so paranoid,' Lila thought to herself. Besides, unlike earlier Haruka seemed normal. He no longer has that odd look in his eyes.
