Kiryu can still hear it clearly, the words spoken by his mother during the official divorce. When he was fourteen, '. . Don't hate him Kiryu. Your father did nothing wrong. No matter what happens he will always be your father. But.. ..I can't stay with him anymore. . . without it being too painful. '
For awhile the old man still stuck around, for at least 6 months. But eventually he left to go abroad and nobody has seen him since. A year later his mother re-married to Austin Hisame - the man who is currently registered as his legal father. Any connection to him and his original father only exists in blood, and no longer in records.
That's what Kiryu thought this entire time. But, it turns out Hisame-san is his real father.
"I know. I don't hate him, contrary to what you all think. " He doesn't hate that person. It's not his fault that brother died. Someone with a weak con tuition like that, was clearly not going to live a long life. Even with his fathers medical skills, he would not have been able to save him. Mother too knew that, she may have been hurt over the incidence. But what caused her to divorce him was something different.
Kiryu reaches over and gently strokes the dogs that had crawled up on to the couch, onto his leg. "Want to keep them here? I'm fine with it," his Uncle noticed his fondness.
"It's okay. They'll be happier if someone else takes care of them," Kiryu muttered. It's better if somebody else takes them away. He can't look after or give them enough love or attention.
"Man, your always like that. Oh well, " His uncle reaches over and ruffles his hair, " Just do what you want. In any case, I'm always right here, okay? Just one thing. This is your house too, so don't act all distance and stuff. You don't have to pay spending time here. You can let me hear your music every now and then."
Before he could respond to that, a certain black wavy hair girl appears in the door way - wearing his jacket on top of her nightgown. Kiryu's relieved that despite her sleepy state that she had the sense to put something else on. When the puppies saw Lila they scrambled of him. Animals really don't like her huh? It must be due to the strong sense of blood.
She walks over to the couch and wrapped her arms around him. "Kiryu, found...." Lila buried her face in his arms.
"Hey, morning sleepy head. You feeling better?"
"Sleepy, I'm tired," Lila mumbled.
Kiryu glared at his uncle who quickly scuried away, he turned to Lila and gently caress her hair. "If your still sleepy, you can go back to sleep you know? It's only 7:30."
"Work?"
"Cancelled," Kiryu made sure to cancel her jobs today. That encounter with Zane frightened him. He doesn't want to let Lila out of his sight today. Who knows what Zane would do? "Would you like to go anywhere?"
"Unnh.." Lila pauses and she pulled a somewhat troubled expression before saying, "I want to cuddle with you for a bit, and then we can take a stroll later."
"Got it."
Wait, she what? She wants to do what with him? For a moment Kiryu looked at her dumbfounded before realizing something. 'He gave her quite the fright yesterday.' Kiryu understood that he was still important to Lila.

Kiryu frowned and clicked the video. It was a video of a drinking party going on at a famous bar. In the center was Haruka - who was drinking a lot. By the end of the video Kiryu felt something bad would happen. Somebody took Haruka away, the video only captured the persons back. However, it was somebody of the opposite gender. With Haruka in that state, what if something happened?
He has to quickly find Haruka. This video happened last night however. Kiryu knew the damage was most likely done already. If that's the case, he has to quickly help his friend out of the situation.
'...Damn,' Kiryu cursed. He understood Haruka's feelings. He did the same when he saw how quickly Lila left to go to Haruka's side before. But still, Haruka... Kiryu's gaze fell on the girl who had fallen fast asleep.

Kiryu worried about it constantly, and while his uncle was here. He didn't want to leave Lila alone for a single second today. He doesn't trust Zane at all. Sumire-san must think the same, otherwise she wouldn't have put that barrier around the place.
"I see! Okay then, Kiryu, what do you want for lunch?"
"Mmm, we ate out the other day didn't we?" Recently they spent a lot more time together.
"Ah-huh, so will we go out?"
It would probably be best if they just ate indoors today, especially with the dangers lurking around. If that's the case, "Shall we eat out on the deck today? It's quite sunny," Kiryu suggested. He could set up a mini picnic for her. Lila likes that stuff a lot.
"That sounds fun."
"First, let's get you some breakfast. I made something, so you can relax."
"Kiryu's cooking?! Where is it?"
Hey hey now, not only did she get of his lap quickly. She seems so much more eager and energetic now. Then again, Lila always liked his cooking. Lila quickly sat down on the chair and observed the dishes on the table.
"It looks good! So you can cook if you try. Good boy."
Who was the one who helped ger learn how to cook? He's pretty sure it was him. Still, his lips curve to a smile when he saw how happy she looked.
He walked over and sat beside her, he buried his face on her hair.
"Kiryu that tickles..."
"Your hair is getting longer, and you've become more beautiful Lila."
She's so beautiful now, so gorgeous. But she no longer belongs to him.
