February 14th - 2035 - Star Town, Universal Star Academy - 9:45am

For couples, Valentine's day is an important day. Everything happens for a reason, even events that seem to have no meaning. For other people, they will mean something.

For this day and every single encounter seems to be more special than usual. Whether or not you are in a relationship, this day is very important. To show gratitude to your loved ones - whether or not it's romantic affection.

But for a couple who are already dating.

A couple who practically acted like one even before they officially went out. Today wasn't any different from the rest.

Lila knew Kiryu would do this since they didn't see each other for almost a week. But even then, Lila hoped he wouldn't skip class. They already skip so many lessons because of work. It was difficult for her to lecture him since he had her backed against the piano. For the past hour or so, Kiryu was drinking her blood and occasionally stopping to give her kisses.

"Ungh, hey silly... We need to go to class," Lila muttered.

Kiryu, however, didn't reply and continued drinking from her neck. 'He's so silly at times.' Then again, isn't it her fault for allowing him to be silly? It took Kiryu a few minutes before he calmed down and let her go.

"Kiryu, um, are we ..doing something later?" Lila asked.

"For Valentines?"

"Ah-huh," Lila turned shy when she realized he remembered. Did he actually make plans?

"Sorry... I have work."

Lila blinked when she hears his apology. Work? Work on Valentine's day? But she even took the day off. Kiryu saw her troubled expression and pushed her against the piano again, he pressed his lips against hers. "I will try to leave early, okay? I wanted to book a restaurant, but I don't know when I will leave."

"Then, I'll make food at home."

She just wants to spend it with him; it doesn't have to be special. But wait, which house should they go to?

"Go to the villa, Lila."

She blinked at his words. "The Villa?"

"Mmm, think we can see something special if we go there."

The villa is in the secluded mountains. Spending time there during Valentine? Kiryu doesn't know how to be romantic, unless he plans to attack her there? That's the only logical explanation that comes to mind. Kiryu fixed her clothes up and awkwardly scratched his hair.

"Hey, do you have makeup or something?"

"Why?"

"Your neck."

At that comment, Lila turned to the mirror in the room. She saw so many markings across her skin. It doesn't help how pale she is. Kiryu brushed his fingers across the marks; he wore an apologetic look on his face. So Lila knew she couldn't lecture him for being a moron.

"I'll cover it, kiss me again," Lila muttered as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Did you like it?"

"Yes."

Why wouldn't she? She likes it whenever he touches her. Lila felt Kiryu's hands rake through her hair, "Kiryu?" Lila mumbled.

"You must be tired, let's skip the next class so you can rest."

"Skipping class isn't good," Lila paused. It's true she indeed felt terrible. However, "I will ask permission for me. But you have to go back."

"But, who will watch over you? Who will give you warmth? You need me, Lila."

Ah, she can't resist when he talks like this. Lila saw the puppy-like expression in his eyes. She gives up; she can never win when it comes to him.

Kiryu gently carried her and took her to the nap room on the second floor. Thankfully everybody was in class now; otherwise, it would be embarrassing. It didn't take her long before they reached the nap room. The nap room is a small lounge area for Goddess four and God five. Kiryu placed her down on one of the beds.

"Mmm, stay put here. You left your blanket here last time, right?"

Lila nodded and patiently waited for Kiryu, who rummaged through the drawers. "Hey, my stuff is here too."

"Ah-huh, cause I stole it."

Just in case Kiryu isn't around, she wanted to hug it to sleep.

Kiryu chuckled, "I guess this will do alongside your blanket," he took out his jacket from the drawer alongside a large lilac-colored blanket. He wrapped it around her and laid down beside her. His arms draped around her, "Alright, Lila, go to sleep. I'll wake you up when it's time for lunch."

"Okay..."

Lila waited, however, until Kiryu was fast asleep. She opened her eyes and extended her hand out to caress his face. 'She wonders why, why even now...the two of them still seem so distance from one another.'

....

High Seeds Records - Lounge S-

Calling themselves their band' devil' in this age would not gather as many stares as it would have done so in the past. After all, the existence of hanyou's and those with supernatural powers have already come into existence. If a rock ballad band wishes to call themselves devils, surely no one will complain, right? Besides, unlike her Mother, the word 'Angel' does not suit her at all. There is nothing remotely angel-like about herself.

"So freaking cool!" she and Hisaya said at the same time. Currently, the two of them sat down in the lounge watching the interview.

"Uzushima-san is so cool! I'm sorry I insulted you."

"I want to be just like Uzushima-san, but I don't want that hairstyle, what do we do?" Lila mumbled.

At that comment, Arata dropped the sheets of papers onto the floor and sighed deeply. "You two, what are you two doing?"

Lila rolled her eyes, "Were watching the interview, is that so bad?"

"Lila, I thought you had a date! What are you doing in the company?"

Her cheeks puffed into a pout, "Kiryu has work, at least let me relax here until he picks me up."

"So you're sulking? Do that elsewhere."

She didn't say anything and turned back to the TV.

"But still, wow. Ryunosuke must be popular. Every wide show channel is talking about them right now," Hisaya commented.

"What's so bad about that? That means there is no war, and there is world peace."

Hisaya pouts, "But this made me feel awkward. They should be focusing on Rynosuke's love life. But it seems like they are trying to talk about X more, instead of us."

"Hisaya? I didn't think you'd see it that way. But, I do see where you're coming from. You're implying X is using us to gain fame," she calmly drank her tea.

"No, no, that's not what I meant. Everything's good as long as we're part of the topic too. Still," Hisaya walked over to Arata, "Arata! Let's hold a press conference, let Ryunosuke explain everything to them. For example, he could tell them the truth."

"Are you kidding me? How could I let him go to those trash interviews? Also, I can't let him say that. Besides, what truth? Even if we tell them the truth, they won't listen to us!"

"If we let it be, X might get all the attention."

"It doesn't matter, I'd rather it be like that. We don't need to so anything; we're using our real talents. All I care about is our CD's will sell well in stores."

"What strong self-confidence you've got. I hope you do not think that you're the best in the world."

"Of course not. But I think that you're a better singer than your mother and father."

At that comment, her face color goes pale, and she shivered. It felt like she was in the middle of the antarctic. "Don't pressure me. I hate you!"

"Heh. Give me another cup of coffee," Arata instructed. Lila rolled her eyes but did as he said.

"But still, X's singer is Miyazawa Rosalia, right? I don't know why the media don't shift their attention to her instead of the keyboardist. Although this is one of those keyboardist romances, it would be more interesting if they researched her, I mean I'm sure she has quite the story."

"It's no good investigating her. Or rather they can't." she murmurs, burying her head in the pillow. She felt tired and drowsy. But there's still so much work left to do before the concert.

"Huh? Why not?" Hisaya questioned.

"Her mother's friend is a high-level lawyer if they cross him, they'd get in trouble. One of her mother's friends is part of the entertainment association board too. It really isn't wise," Lila explained.

Although Uncle Takaomi is the last person, anyone would expect to be part of the association board. Since Mother disappeared, the occupations of the surrounding adults seem to have changed.

"Connections get you places, Hisaya; you ought to remember that too."

Besides, it's a good thing. She doesn't know what sort of relationship Kiryu and Rosalia have. But Kiryu would get dragged into any conflict regarding Rosalia; she doesn't want that to happen. Still, she wonders if Kiryu knows about this. Lila turned to her phone and was surprised to find a message there.
