Chapter 173

"I really hope this doesn't throw off Oak." James mumbled to himself as he pointed towards the ground. It was time. The players were already thrumming with excitement, intermingled with more dickens than James had ever seen. The dickens nearest to Old Man Jenkins were the most terrifying, considering they were benefiting from the Boss Mob's aura. James was silently wishing he still had Charles the Dicken for this moment, but there was no use crying over that cracked egg.

So, without another moment to waste, especially because the Giant Gummy bear was getting dangerously close, James began his summoning process. What he was summoning, by using his enhanced summon, was going to be the strongest monster he could bring to the battlefield. Not only in reference to its stats, but also, its sheer size. Those aspects alone were likely to make BLANKs players give pause. On top of that, the fact that very few of BLANKs players had actually made it to James's third floor, meant they were in for an even greater surprise.

"Why would it." Rue paused as she watched the summoning circle at James's feet, before her eyes flashed with joy. The ever-quick AI had picked up what James was planning on summoning. She flashed her fangs towards him. "I'm totally riding it into battle."

"I wouldn't expect any less from you." James smiled back at her, waiting for his summoning magic to finish the task. The stronger the mob, the longer it took for him to summon. An annoying fact, but again one of the restrictions put in place on Summoner's to keep them from just mass summoning an endless army of mobs. With this summon, James was going to be limited to just summoning one more mob, a Dicken, if he wanted to. Otherwise, he would have to wait for this creature to fall. How quickly his role in this war went from Active to passive.

After a few more moments, the form began to slowly take shape. It appeared, rapidly coming from the summoning circle, coiling endlessly as row upon row of patchwork cloth piled upon itself. Once the creature's massive form, which James had to guess was nearly 100ft in length, had fully emerged from the summoning circle, James couldn't help but let out a low whistle. He had done it. He had summoned an enhanced variant of a Giant Plaython. Combine that with the size increase for the mobs he summoned as an avatar, and the normally 20ft snake was now 100 feet of stuffed fury.

"I shall name him Monty Python." Rue flexed her muscled legs and leapt atop the creature with grace definitely befitting her feline nature. James, after he managed to close his mouth, which was hanging open after looking at the stats of the creature before him, quickly began the process to link Rue and the Giant Plaython together. With that HP pool, combined with the damage mitigation traits from the Spiritualist class, and the damage mitigation that the mob naturally had…Rue was going to be practically unkillable. Plus, there was no way in hell BLANK had predicted this.

The runes on his arm flashed, and then the runes appeared on Rue, just as they had on Z. They perfectly matched the swirling runic color that glowed against the Giant Playthons massive…neck, though James didn't envy the developer that had to figure out just where to place that type of an object on it. Then, Rue and her massive Plaython, which was appropriately also the variant wearing the sunglasses, turned to face the giant Gummy Bear.

"Brave adventurers who live in Chaos." She held her battle axe aloft, the gears on it spinning wildly as black smoke billowed from the weapon. "I hope all of you are prepared for the sugary carnage that is about to begin." The Giant Plaython she was linked to rose its head up a little higher, as it began uncoiling itself.

All around her, adventurers were cheering. They had their weapons raised, some glowing with demonic light, others billowing black smoke. A few had weapons from James's third floor, stuffed weapons that just seemed ridiculous, though were extremely deadly. James also couldn't help but notice that while many, James wasn't sure how many, but many players had summoned dickens. It was honestly quite ridiculous how many of the feathered fowls flocked freely about.

What was even more ridiculous though, was the small group of players that seemed to have summoned a pack of Snuggle Woofs, and a few others that James was certain had summoned Velocity Raptors. Needless to say, all around him, his players, his adventurers, his city, was gathered and ready to take on BLANK. Sure, in their eyes, they were just playing a game, just taking part in the dungeon wars. Something that would potentially affect them and their economy, yes, but likely in a very short-term way. For James though, this battle was like life or death for him. And even though they didn't know it, the fact they were all here, standing with him against BLANK, was more than he could emotionally handle.

Rue gave him a knowing nod, even as James felt his eyes tear up. He looked quickly away, but couldn't help letting some of them fall down, large drops of salty tears that splashed to the ground, drenching a few players that were standing beneath him.

"Now, my fellow warriors, let us defeat this foolish dungeon. They shall not experience the sweet taste of victory today! Not of I have anything to say about it! Because I am the White Beast of Chaos, and I have an extremely strong sweet tooth." And with that, Rue urged her massive Plaython forward, and James adventures all rushed with her as well. Whatever was waiting in the forest, whatever was approaching, unless it was BLANKs entire set of players, was about to have an extremely bad day.
