Description

Do you know how this world ends?

Become the hero and defeat the 72 Demon Lords. The game that boasted as the absolute hardest strategy game, 『Dungeon Defense』.

I used to be the ‘hero’ that had accomplished everything in this game, but after answering a suspicious survey, I found myself in the game as the weakest Demon Lord, 「Dantalian」.

With only my eloquent tongue and my memories of conquest as a hero—.

In order to survive as Dantalian. I shall tear this world apart.

I completely agree with the review from “Shiro S” on every point. Comedy and Romance definitely needs to be removed from the Genre Description. Totally threw me off the WN. Read it till volume 3 then i had to stop. Had to reread the story with Reviewer “chu” mentality to enjoy the story.

After binging up to the current and most latest volume (presently, vol 5), the read is.. interesting to an extent. The first volume summarily consisted of the mc impressing upon the readers his knowledge of the game and his ability to manipulate, and as such comes off as a cold, lazy, yet likeable-enough character. After that the writer proceeds to solidify the main tone of the story in Vol 2, which is a blindside from vol 1. No clue who the editor is but the shift is to one where the writer or editor decided that this story should stand out by making the central characters be psychopaths of some extent. The intrigue and challenges the mc faces in Vol 1 summarily is beaten to a bloody pulp in which the story decides to be more base by the idea that characters should just be thrown in to get mutilated, shown how insane they are, or fornicate with the mc. Oh yeah and there’s that thing about war and apparently the nd should be trying to reach a moderate ending where demons and humans coexist (according to vol 1), but of course driven by the aforementioned details above.

Just gonna post this to stop people from believing the words of an ignorant fool( That Hmm guy ) If you actually take the time to read through the whole volume instead of quitting halfway and then giving it unfair criticism then you’d see how wrong you are. I’m not going to tell you why because that would be a spoiler, but hint: he’s playing you (and one other character, but really its a troll on both the character and the readers)

Yeah after reading up to Volume 2 Chapter 2, I can see how this story got the reviews it did on other sites.  Starts out great, then rapidly shifts and twists into something stupid and pointless.  We went from a great start, to him changing himself GREATLY after a single kiss, and becomming a moaning miser about not knowing how to “handle” Lala. I’ll stop at this point, I should’ve taken the advice to stop at the end of Volume 1 and left it open to mystery.

This is the first series that made me hysterically laugh while seeing every character get slaughtered.

5 out of 5 for me. It sure is in a #Fantasy world, but not the game setting you expect from the title: It’s mostly #Psychological. The #Romance developing and outlined in Volume 2 sure is psycho as well but it really left a deep impression on me. #Mature, well misery, profanites and cruelty permeate the core of this story. Meh, #Harem content is really just a side element and not so prelevant. #Comedy, hah i laughed and enjoyed this a lot. So twisted. Immoral. Insane. Pure bliss… Although i am a little saddend that the MC is not working to improve his own power, skills, magic, what i sure usually enjoy a lot, the way he solves everything by intellect is surely as interesting to watch as it was e.g. in death note.

I feel like the genres/tags might be a bit wrong for this one. it has comedy and romance that it should drop. and instead have horror, tragedy and drama. I was expecting more of a video game->transported world kind of story. but there’s almost no video game menu type things in this story. no leveling up/skills/etc. with the exception of the very beginning. [SPOILER] all of the main characters (+members of his harem) are insane psycho-killers, which is interesting. but it was a huge turn off since the mc does almost no fighting himself (and he has virtually zero fighting potential). and it turned into this weird drama story. the pacing is all over the place and the story itself can’t seem to decide what it wants to be. don’t compare this to Overlord (which has lvls, spells, mc OP, and actual humor) compare this more to Death Note, both in feel as well as overall appeal. the summary and genre/tags don’t properly prepare readers for the horror gore-fest that is this LN/WN/whatever

This series is forever being watched by me for the sheer joy I read of this XD i dislike dogs intensely so they dieing was a big favor in my regard for this WN. But seriously I do enjoy this WN because like Overlord the MC is a bastard who is an evil villain and not some push over hero or heroine who goes on and on about peace love and sex. (cmon u should have seen this coming especially the male hero’s XD) But seriously give it a good read don’t skim people its a lot to take in but it will make more sense if you read it As to y i hate dogs well there noisy constantly want attention want to be around you even when you want to be left alone. Won’t stop there stupid barking, etc, etc…. I like cats
