The panic started to spread, and the digging became more difficult.

Some villagers tried to stop the digging. After all, they were locals. They relied on the hill to make a living. If people approaching the hill started to die, who would go to the hill in the future?

The old man who led a team of archaeologist also was hesitant if they should continue. If accidents kept happening, they were probably not accidents at all. Perhaps there was really something inside the tomb, like an invisible ghost or a curse.

It was still raining. The rest of the archaeologist didn’t enter the tomb again. One of their colleagues was transferred to a different hospital during the day. After one night’s conservative treatment, his condition didn’t improve. Instead, it got worse.

One bad thing happened after another.

“Sir, we can handle it. You don’t need to come with us,” a middle-aged archaeologist said.

“Yes, you don’t look well yourself. You should rest,” a young archaeologist said.

“OK, let me know how it goes,” the old archaeologist said.

“We will,” the middle-aged archaeologist said.

Thus, the digging temporarily stopped.

County police officers came to investigate the death of the two security guards. It was a big case. They had to find the cause of their death. Unfortunately, there was no surveillance around the hill. Although the archaeologists installed two temporary surveillance cameras on the hill, limited areas were covered. The police officers could only see two security guards run out of the shed toward the foot of the hill in a hurry as if something horrible was chasing after them. No more footage of the two security guards was found.

What happened?

The police officers in charge of the case were all confused.

“Did they bump into a ghost?” a police officer asked. “I heard of a number of incidents have happened since they started digging the tomb.”

“Maybe we should take a look inside the shed?” The police officers all looked toward the shed standing alone on the hill.

“What for?” another police officer asked.

“Wait, I think we should interview the archaeologists first,” one of the police officers said.

They found the archaeologists in a hotel of the county and interviewed each of them.

“One of you guys also got sick?” a police officer asked.

“Yes, he has been transferred to the provincial hospital,” an archaeologist said.

“What is his condition?” the police officer asked.

“I’m not sure. The doctors from the hospital in the county couldn’t determine what’s wrong with him,” the archaeologist said.

“When did he get sick?” the police officer asked.

“Yesterday afternoon, he suddenly passed out,” the archaeologist said. “We are not sure exactly when he became sick. He was fine in the morning, talking and laughing. We didn’t notice anything wrong.”

“Yes,” another archaeologist said.

The police officers asked the archaeologists and the villagers if they had seen anything abnormal the previous night, but no one gave them any useful information. Instead, the villagers warned the police officers of the ancient tomb.

“Don’t get anywhere close to that tomb,” a villager said. “It is cursed. A Feng Shui master told us not to touch the tomb. Those people didn’t listen, which is why so many people died.”

Most of the villagers agreed.

The police officers began to develop a theory. They presumed the two security guard encountered something horrible when they were in the shed. They panicked and ran away. It was in the middle of the night and raining heavily. The police officers presumed the men couldn’t see what was underneath their feet and fell into the large pit and drowned.

They couldn’t think of any other cause of death. They still thought, What scared the hell out of them? Was it really those nonexistent things?

It was still raining. A car entered the village. Two people got out of the car.

“Here we are. We had to come back here,” one of them said.

“But, we haven’t fully recovered,” the other man said.

“I’m worried about this place,” the first man said.

The two men were Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang, who had gone to see Wang Yao the other day. Wang Yao saved their lives. After they had left the clinic, they rested for two days before returning to the village where they found the tomb.

“Because of us, the tomb was discovered,” Miao Sanding said. “If we didn’t go there to check the Feng Shui and help that family determine the location of the grave, none of this would have happened. It was karma that we got sick. However, I don’t want other people to get sick because of what we did. I don’t feel comfortable.”

Initially, he was going to return to the tomb by himself, but Liu Sifang insisted on coming along. Actually, they didn’t need to go back. They went to see the family who asked them to check the Feng Shui.

“Hello, Master Miao, are you alright?” the middle-aged man who hired them asked with surprise.

When Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang discovered the ancient tomb, they told the middle-aged man and his family members not to go anywhere close to the tomb before leaving in a hurry. However, one of the family members reported the discovery to the local government. Since then, it had caused the death of a number of people. The middle-aged man didn’t expect Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang to come back.

“What happened to that ancient tomb?” Miao Sanding asked.

“No good. Three people died because of it,” the middle-aged man said.

“What?” Miao Sanding was in shock. “What happened? I told you not to be anywhere close to the tomb.”

“We didn’t go anywhere near the tomb, but a group of archaeologists came to dig the tomb. Bad things quickly started to happen,” said the middle-aged man, who was obviously upset about the whole thing.

He was a businessman. He had been doing really well. Because his father wanted to make a decision about the location of his tomb as soon as possible, he hired Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang to assist with the decision. He was a good son. A lot of old people in his village preferred to know where they would be buried before they died. He didn’t expect his action to cause such bad consequences. A lot of his fellow villagers were not happy with him. The village had always been peaceful. Now, everyone was panicking because of the tomb and what was inside it.

His will was good, but the outcome was bad. Since Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang returned, he thought they might be able to fix it. It would allow him to face his fellow villagers again.

“Tell me what happened in detail please,” Miao Sanding said.

“Sure, please come in,” the middle-aged man said.

He invited Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang into the house and told them what had happened the past few days.

Sh*t!

Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang glanced at each other after listening to the whole story. What they had been worried about had happened.

“There must be something wrong with the tomb,” Miao Sanding said.

“Master Miao, please help us sort it out. Otherwise, none of the villagers will go to that hill ever again,” the middle-aged man said.

“Don’t worry, everything happened because of us. I will sort it out,” Miao Sanding said.

However, he and Liu Sifang could only check Feng Shui. They didn’t know how to fight evil ghosts. They had to seek assistance from professional ghost hunters.

“Dragon Tiger Hill is not far from here. We should go there,” Miao Sanding said after thinking for a while.

“OK,” Liu Sifang said.

“Let’s check the tomb before we go,” Miao Sanding said.

“You wanna go there again?” Liu Sifang asked with surprise.

“Yes, we have to,” Miao Sanding said.

He and Liu Sifang went to check the tomb in the rain.

What an odd atmosphere around here!

They stopped at the foot of the hill. They could smell death. Nothing was worse than the sense of death. Hills and water had spirit, which was supposed to be positive.

“Let’s go,” Miao Sanding said.

They could see the shed in the distance. It stood alone in the rain.

“Well, let’s stop here,” Miao Sanding said. “We need to get it sorted as soon as possible.”

They left the hill and headed to Dragon Tiger Hill without delay.

Meanwhile, in the provincial hospital of Qi province, Hong Nan was still in the hospital.

“What do you mean?” He was very upset at the moment.

He had been very sick the past few days. He couldn’t hold a cup, sit, stand, eat, or sleep. He lost nearly 22 pounds. He wished he was dead. Now, he had heard more bad news.

“Our lawyer has spoken to the police. They won’t let Sen go,” one of Hong Nan’s men said.

“Think about other ways,” Hong Nan said. “Don’t let him talk, do you understand?”

“Sure,” his man said.

“What about that doctor?” Hong Nan asked.

“Do you mean?” his man asked.

“I mean, I want him dead! Dead! To have a painful death!” Hong Nan shouted.

Fortunately, he was in a private room. Only his men were allowed to stay there. He was like a mad dog.

“Lin!” Hong Nan shouted.

“Yes,” Lin said.

“I’m happy to pay $5 million to kill him and his family. I want them all to have a painful death!” Hong Nan tried to catch his breath while speaking.
