They were still walking down the road hoping to be at the house soon.
Mike looks over at Carrie. He sees she kept looking in her pocket and shaking her head. She also had a worried look on her face.
"Hey where did you get that?" He asked concern.
"Oh...um I found it before the gun shots." She shows Mike the shot but quickly puts it up.
"Oh okay" He says nodding.
"Also um guys." They turn to Carrie. "I need to use the bathroom" she says shaking a little.
John sighs. "Fine. But you better be quick" John watched her as she disappeared into the woods.
"John, she may sound somethings hateful towards you but she does look up to you" Mike says as he looks at John.
John looked at the ground. "Yeah I know. But I wish she didn't"
Mike smiled. "I think that's the first time you have ever been nice to me!" Mike started to fake cry.
John gave him a evil look. "Don't push it kid"
Mike nodded. "Yes sir!" he smiled "Whatever you say!"
John rolled his eyes. "Listen could you sto-" suddenly a knife went through Johns shoulders.
"John!" Mike yelled going to him.
John felt the knife deep in his shoulder. "Damn.."
"You going to be okay?" Mike said worried. "Oh god please don't die!"
"Stop crying you idiot. Im not dying" John said as Mike was on the edge of balling his eyes out.
"Wait John! What about Carrie?" Mike said with his color draining from his face. "You don't think..." he started imaging things.
"Listen I'm going to go get her. You stay here." John pulled the knife out. "Damn!" he yelled in pain. He threw the knife.
"Wait John! You cant go! I'm useless without you!" Mike pleaded.
"I know you idiot..." Johns eyes rolled back and he fell to the ground.
"Oh my god!" Mike went to him. "John? John can you hear me?" Mike looked at the knife wound. "What kind of sicko would do such a thing?"
"Awe you don't like my work?"
Mike jumped at the sound of some girls voice. He looked to where it came from. He saw a girl. She looked to be maybe 15. She had bright red hair. Her eyes shined bright. She wore a strange outfit that was unusual for a girl her age to wear.
"Why would you do this?" Mike said a little scared.
The girl bent down to his level while picking up the knife. "That's for me to know and for you to never ever finding out" she smiled big. She wiped the knife clean and put it back on her leg.
Mike watched her. He didn't know what to do. He isn't a fighter. Hes a lover!
"Awe cat got your tongue?" she laughed. When she stood she smiled big at him. "Now now little boy. I wont kill you. No that's not what I'm here to do. I'm here to give you a warning" and after that she hit him hard. Making him fall on John. "Nighty night!"
When Carrie came back the girl had already gone. Carrie freaked when she saw both boys knocked out. She ran to them.
"Guys! Guys! Are you okay?" She was panicking.
Carrie started to cry. She didn't know what to do. Suddenly she heard a trunk coming. She quickly jumped up and yelled. "Help! Help!" she waved her hands up and down. She knew if John was alive her would be yelling at her later for acting like a fool. But she didn't care.
The truck stopped. A man with shaggy blonde hair got out. He ran to her. "Everything alrighty mam?" he said in a very deep southern accent.
"No! My uncle and friend have past out and I don't know what to do!" her heart was racing.
He nodded. "Okay well luckily my wife is a nurse. She can help. I live right down the road"
Both the man and Carrie grabbed John and Mike and headed down to the mans home.
As they drove Carrie asked, "If you don't mind me asking but where do you live?"
"Oh sweety its alright. Now I live right here in this here farmhouse" He pointed to the same farmhouse that they were trying to get to earlier.
"Ha. That's funny because we were trying to get here" Carrie said laughing a little.
"HA! That is funny!" he laughed. He stopped the truck when he reached the front of the house. "Now I'm Joe. Whats your name?" he said while getting out.
Carrie got out as well. "Names Carrie. And thank you"
A woman came out of the home. She was clearly pregnant. She had brown hair that was braided on one side.
"Joe! You're home!" she ran as fast as she could and kissed him. She than noticed Carrie. "And who is this lovely lady?"
Her warm smiled made Carrie somewhat happy. "Carrie" she smiled at the woman.
"Awe such a beautiful name!" The woman was such a very happy person.
"Sweet heart go get your medical supplies. You have patients that need you help." Joe said as he was grabbing John and Mike.
Carrie helped him.
The woman nodded and went inside.
