I became 8 years old.
Since then I’ve been self-teaching myself magic and swordsmanship.
Honestly, I can’t tell whether or not my swordsmanship has gotten better.
Nothing but waving my sword earnestly against an imaginary opponent, is the difficulty alright?
If the village saw me they’d definitely see me as weird.
As for magic, I’ve seen some progress.
At the beginning I just copied adults arias but it was a pain, so I omitted the aria.
“Could it be?!” I thought. Using just the image I was able to use magic.
It definitely isn’t because I wanted to make it easier.
It was only to make it more efficient.
…….yeah.
It’s not an excuse.
But, I needed a cool reason for when I’m asked the details of the discovery of chantless magic……
Also there was one more discovery.
You can use various forms of magic with the image.
In short, imagination is important.
Right now, I’m striving to make original magic.
Also, the more magic power used the higher the power, but I’m thinking can this be made more efficient?
I can’t seen the bottom of my magic power but at the critical moment when I keep using magic and it my magic power runs out, that’s scary.
“Conserve limited resources” is the motto.
From now on it’s necessary to do some trial and error.
That being said, I noticed that I’m even more different from other people.
Even more outside the norm.
Since I’ve come so far how about world conquest?
……nah, just kidding.
I just want to live a life surrounded by a cute wife and cute kids.
For that sake, I will keep trying my best at training.
When I turned 8 I asked jii-chan and baa-chan for a favor.
“Can I come on a hunt?” (Haru)
Until now I just practiced in the mountains but I’ve never hunted.
At the training spot there is practically no game.
Thus to hunt I have to go deeper into the mountain to hunt the animals.
And deeper in the mountain there is not only animals but monsters.
Of course things like “dangerous” or “you’re still just a child, so no” were what I expected.
“Really? That helps a bunch” (grandma)
“If it’s Haru it’ll be alright” (grandpa)
I got permission easily.
My mental state became a bit complicated but, I’ll be able to repay jii-chan and baa-chan.
So again, today I come to the mountain I practice magic on to hunt.
“Mmmmm, today I couldn’t find anything, huh.” (Haru)
I whispered while pushing away the long overgrown grass while searching when a deer appeared in front of me.
Immediately I prepared to invoke a chantless magic but I heard an aria from somewhere.
“Flame, Become my power and burn my target to nothing”
“Fireball!”
From the direction of the aria a ball of fire appeared and flew straight at the deer.
…….boom
The magic shot from someone hit the deer and burned it up.
