Chapter 424: Creating a Lost Art for Spatial Dao

“What’s impossible?”

Walking with its rear feet, Dumbo strode toward them.

Its canine eyes studied Unknown Fox from head to toe then and sneered. “You know nothing, brute. There’s nothing impossible for my master—he could plant the stars, let alone a few little monkeys!”

“Plant?”

Unknown Fox appeared puzzled at that.

What did that mean?

He was under the control of Jiang He through the Spirit Animal Ring and not planted by Jiang He, which was why he was still not aware about the Farm.

Even so, Jiang He was not bothered to tell him much, and quickly said, “Alright, it’s just a few Wise Rock Monkeys. What do you think you look like with that shock faced? Dumbo, how’s the grill coming?”

“It’s ready, Master.”

Dumbo quickly went up to Jiang He, groveling and fawning with a human smile on its canine face, saying, “It’s just a little difficult to start a fire here on the moon, and we had to use our powers to ignite some spirit stones to build one. Therefore, the texture of the meat therefore might not taste as good as coal grilled.”

“It’s fine.”

Jiang He waved it off, saying, “When you grill on the moon, you savor not the meat but the artistic atmosphere.”

He then took out a few bottles of immortal wine and shared them among everyone.

The immortal wine was a gift from the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist to Jiang He and was said to be brought from the celestial battlefield, an item that was as rare as it was expensive.

At first, the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist had given Jiang He three earthen jars’ worth, but after Jiang He planted it, the three earthen jars became…

Three colossal earthen jars!

They would weigh ten thousand catties at least!

As everyone ate grill and sipped wine on the moon, they could clearly see the blue planet in distant space whenever they looked up.

Jiang He’s sight could even clearly make out the mountains and rivers on Earth. The grotto-heavens that were hidden in outer space were showing signs of being spread out as well, and was shrouded by a sheet of immortal light.

Jiang He turned to look at the other side of the oceans.

An idea occurred to him then and he asked, “Unknown Fox, how much do you know about the west?”

The people of the Hua Nation were not the only people on Earth after all.

There were many countries over on the other side of the ocean and many elites had risen up after the Revival of Qi, or they would not have been able to stopped the invading Ferals at all. If that was the case, were there any countries in the west that possess ancient legacies?

“The west?”

Unknown Fox spaced out for a moment before smiling in disdain. “They are just a bunch of ignorant fools. Their Dao traditions are left by just a few divine entities, but their descendants and disciples call it magic. Through certain methods or even curses, they would resonate with the world’s power and hence grasped its power.”

“But does genuine cultivation need that?”

“We just need to snap our fingers and think it to wield the Dao of the world to our own ends. Do we need to go through such trouble?”

Jiang He smiled but did not offer any judgement.

On the other hand, Unknown Fox appeared to hold a deep grudge against the west and continued his endless mocking.

Around two and a half hours later, Jiang He harvested another batch of immortal crystals and put away his farm before continuing on his journey.

Unknown Fox led the way.

Taking out a star map and studying it for a while, he said, “My lord, we can’t continue like this. Crossing a planetary system physically would take a month or even longer.”

“Then what should we do?”

Jiang He was a little troubled as well.

The universe was too damned vast.

He had been riding Hu Mei and flying more than half a day without reaching anywhere significant.

“We need to find a portal,” Unknown Fox replied. “There might be some left by certain champions on the planet amidst the vastness of outer space, and we could use it to travel if we find one… It’s a shame that you are a sword cultivator, my lord, and have yet to grasp Spatial Dao. If you could teleport, you could travel ten times or even a hundred times quicker.”

“Spatial Dao?”

Jiang He flashed a pained smile. “I’ve only started cultivating for a little over half a month and my talent is not that good. Becoming a full-fledged True Immortal is only thanks to me diligently farming every night and day… and I’ve always cultivated and learned by myself, so I don’t know much about the Spatial Dao.”

“Well…”

Unknown Fox was left staggered.

What the hell.

We were here talking about something serious, and you suddenly start showing off?

More than half a month?

True Immortal-pinnacle?

Most importantly, self-learned cultivation?

Are you even human?

Still, even before he could muster another inward retort, Jiang He’s tone changed as he said, “That being said, it’s not as if I have no options.”

Turning, Unknown Fox watched as Jiang He put on a pensive look on top of Hu Mei and stayed silent for seconds before his eyes lit up and he clapped his hands, exclaiming, “It doesn’t matter if I don’t know the Spatial Dao. I could learn it!”

“My Lord!”

Unknown Fox held his forehead and smiled bitterly. “Do you know complex and profound Spatial Dao is?”

“It requires strong accomplishment in Spatial Dao to teleport. In fact, many elites who were adept at Spatial Dao were unable to grasp teleportation even after cultivating for eons.”

“Doesn’t matter.”

Jiang He waved him off with a flat reply. “That’s easy, since I could just develop a lost art for Spatial Dao, and one with a progressive mastery. If I work hard, I could quickly grasp Spatial Dao and its techniques, even developing a godly technique in teleportation to directly do it after learning.”

“…”

Unknown Fox opened his mouth, unsure what to say just then.

What the heck does creating a lost art of Spatial Dao even mean?

And if you do not even know Spatial Dao, how would you create anything?

Surely you can’t just come up with anything you want, can you?

Still, since that man who bragged without limit was the Unknown Fox’s owner and controlled his very soul, meaning that he could kill Unknown Fox at a thought, Unknown Fox kept his retorts in his head without saying them out.

“What’s with that look, Unknown Fox?”

Jiang He, however, frowned and appeared a little upset as he sneered, “You little wretch. Are you underestimating me now?”

Whoosh!

With a single thought, a pavilion—which was actually an mediocre-grade immortal item—appeared and hovered up in the air.

Jiang He entered and barked, “Give me a pen, Trumbo!”

Trumbo brought him a writing brush, ink, and paper instead.

Speechless, Jiang He sent the cat flying with a slap.

“Doggone it! Why would you bring me a writing brush?”

Jiang He was fuming!

His calligraphy was not that good—did Trumbo want to embarrass him by giving him a writing brush?

Trumbo mewed a few times and eventually brought him a pen.

Taking out a notebook and putting it on a stone table inside the pavilion, he shot Unknown Fox a look before flatly saying, “Look with your mongrel eyes and see how I create a lost art for Spatial Dao.”

Unknown Fox: “…”

On the other hand, Jiang He closed his eyes as he thought about in his mind.

Spatial Dao… did seems a little difficult!

Most importantly, he had no idea where to start from since he knew nothing about Spatial Dao.

“Should I look for inspiration online?”

But when he whipped out his phone, Jiang He only realized then that phones were unusable in the vastness of outer space.

Well…

He had to make something up!

Taking a deep breath and looking much more somber, a thought occurred to Jiang He.

“The lost art of Spatial Dao…”

“I remember an anime about a Super Saiyan who could teleport… isn’t that a lost art of Spatial Dao?”

Jiang He’s eyes lit up!
