If it was anyone other than the left and right protectors, Han Changsheng wouldn’t have been so nervous, but this was Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi. They were the most open-mouthed, and An Yuan is not a simpleton. The Dog Lord was obviously beginning to doubt him. If he swindled something out of Xiaoqing or Xiaobai’s mouths, it would be terrible.

Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi didn’t have any opinions on An Yuan’s suggestions. Lu Baibi said, “Let’s go.”

Han Changsheng hurriedly grabbed the Dog Lord. “Wait a minute, An Yuan. We will investigate the affairs of old man Xuanji and Elder Lan Fang first. Let’s go to Yuehua Mountain. Mingyue Sect is not really related to your father, thus it is more important to clear our names.”

Coldly, An Yuan said, “You just said that you can’t go to Yuehua Mountain. Now, you’ve changed your tune and say that the Mingyue Sect is not necessarily related to my family? Why do you refuse to be with these two little brothers? You don’t like them?”

Lu Baibi smiled as Lu Qingqian puffed up his cheeks like a stuffed bun. Both of their gazes swept up to Han Changsheng. There was a kind of sad, indignant note in Lu Baibi’s smile as he said, “You don’t want to be with us? After a few months apart, you…”

Raising his head, Han Changsheng stabbed the Dog Lord full of holes in his mind. Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi were soft-hearted and effortlessly coaxed, but they were also the most easily deceived. If he made them unhappy, the consequences would be unimaginable.

If he tried to coax them in front of An Yuan, his words would inevitably show his flaws. So, he had no choice but to pull up a smile. “No matter, let’s go to the Mingyue Sect together.”

An Yuan silently observed Han Changsheng’s expression. He raised a meaningful smile and waved, “No, no, no. It’s fine if you don’t want to go to the Mingyue Sect. Let’s go to the Yuehua Sect.”

Then, he moved to Han Changsheng’s ear and whispered, “I’m sorry, I’m rude. I don’t want to force you to do this, I didn’t expect that you might have relationship troubles with Bai Xionghen and Qing Shoula. We’d better go on our own way and let them leave quickly.”

Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi both heard An Yuan’s words. Taking a breath of chilly air at the same time, they moaned, “Head…”

Immediately, Han Changsheng shouted, “I want to go to the Mingyue Sect! Crazily! I was afraid you wanted to go to the Yuehua Sect more! In this case, let’s go to the Mingyue Sect! Now! Immediately!”

Lu  Qingqian and Lu Baibi looked at Han Changsheng, and Han Changsheng looked at them. They returned to their expressionless state.

An Yuan smiled. “Then, let’s hurry and leave.”

Han Changsheng silently swallowed a mouthful of old blood. The Dog Lord did that on purpose, absolutely! Such a poor method of instigating discord would fool only Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian! He knew when he chose the left and right Dharma protectors that he shouldn’t have chosen good looks as the first requirement. He should’ve paid more attention to intelligence!

The two-person party grew to be a four-person party. Rather than growing lively, the atmosphere became more depressed.

Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian had some ideas about what just happened. The entire way, they looked silently at Han Changsheng and An Yuan, but Han Changsheng was too afraid to explain anything in front of An Yuan. The only unperturbed person was An Yuan.

“Brother Qing, brother Bai,” An Yuan said, his tone light, “How long have you known brother Hua?”

Han Changsheng immediately took over the conversation. “Several years.”

An Yuan glanced at him and said, “I asked brother Qing and brother Bai, what are you rushing to answer? Didn’t you say you wanted me to be friends with brother Bai? I’m just getting closer to them. Or, you don’t want brother Qing and brother Bai to talk?”

An Yuan pretended to be worried. “Is there a misunderstanding between you? Brother Qing, brother Bai, they make you angry? I don’t think they’re frank and careless. Maybe they did something wrong without even knowing it.”

Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi looked at Han Changsheng again.

Again, Han Changsheng swallowed old blood at An Yuan’s green tea performance.

Fortunately, such a low-end means of provocation wasn’t enough for Xiaoqing and Xiaobai. Lu Qingqian’s cheeks puffed up one by one as he groaned, “You are trying to drive a wedge between us. We grew up together. We know how many moles are on his ass. What are you trying to instigate?”

Han Changsheng: “…”

An Yuan’s face stiffened, but he soon recovered. “Oh? You must have a good relationship, if you grew up together.” At Han Changsheng’s glance, he added, “These ‘years’ are long enough.”

Han Changsheng beat the green tea immortal a hundred times in his heart.

An Yuan asked, “How many moles are on his butt?”

Han Changsheng: “………………”

Lu Qingqian was cautious. “Why should I tell you? Even brother Luo doesn’t know, who are you?”

An Yuan raised his eyebrows. “Brother Luo?”

Han Changsheng clenched his fist. If this continues, the green tea immortal would clearly know the details of his time in the Tianning!

“Xiaoqing, Xiaobai.” Standing enthusiastically between them, he put one arm around each of them and said, “How much do you know about the Mingyue Sect?”

Lu Baibi said, “Old Master Gu told us the last time you performed an autopsy, the old guy might’ve been attacked from behind with a knife.”

An Yuan laughed. “Old Gu? Autopsy?”

Han Changsheng lowered his head in despair. He was wrong. He was really wrong. He knew he shouldn’t have gone down the mountain. If he hadn’t gone down the mountain, Li Jiulong wouldn’t have died. And, if Li Jiulong hadn’t died, he wouldn’t have fallen into this sad place……

It dissatisfied Lu Qingqian. “Who is this ugly monster who was handsome, but was beaten into having a pig’s face? Why is he always asking questions? Why are you always with him?”

Han Changsheng chuckled weakly and quickly mouthed “great conspiracy,” to Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian. Then, he said, “He’s a promising young man and a good friend of mine. You should want to get along well.”

Turning his head to An Yuan, he added, “After all, I’ve been wandering in the jianghu for many years. I will always have friends you two won’t know. I will definitely introduce you one by one if I have the chance. Even if I introduce them all to you now, you won’t necessarily know them.”

An Yuan narrowed his eyes, but they were already squinted from Han Changsheng’s makeup, so even if he narrowed his eyes, it won’t be visible.

The Mingyue Sect wasn’t far from Yueyang Town. The four ran for a few hours and arrived near the sect that afternoon.

Though they’d only been travelling for a few hours, they passed like years to Han Changsheng. The green tea Dog Lord was quiet on the sidelines, but Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi were two rectums. Fortunately, he was witty enough to take them. Although his flaws were more or less exposed, he could counter their words in a panic.

The weather had already entered autumn, and the air was very cool. After their journey, several other people were refreshed, relaxing. But, Han Changsheng had been exposed to the scorching heat of the midsummer sun for a few hours. His clothes were wet with sweat.

The Mingyue Sect was in Qingfeng Town. Before dusk, they could already see signs of the sect.

The Mingyue Sect had already released news in the country that Elder Yue was assassinated by the demonic cult and that the Mingyue sword scripts had been robbed. They asked the Wulin to help them destroy the cult and restore the scripts, but they weren’t sure where the scripts were.

The only reason they let out the news was because if the sword script fell into someone else’s hand, the person would be mistaken for someone from the demonic cult. They dared not to use the sword script, lest the script be spread through the nation and their sect be destroyed.

Also, it only seemed that the righteous people in the Wulin were friendly, when in fact, there were more than a few people who secretly engaged in intrigue and fights. The Mingyue Sect’s Elder had been assassinated, and other sects wouldn’t seriously help.

But, since it involved the demonic cult, the righteous people of the Wulin would naturally be willing to help them wholeheartedly.

Standing not far away, looking at the Mingyue Sect, An Yuan turned to Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian. “Where can I start?”

Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian, meanwhile, focused on Han Changsheng.

Investigation wasn’t their strong point. They intended to do as they said before. Because the Mingyue Sect dared to insult them, they wanted to kill everyone. But, now that Han Changsheng wanted to investigate the case, they couldn’t.

Feeling his chin, Han Changsheng said, “First, we need to find out what happened on the day Elder Yuan Yue died. Maybe the people in the Mingyue Sect know what happened that day. Let’s ask one of the disciples.”

An Yuan nodded. “Since you can change your face, why don’t we…”

His words faded as Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian rushed out. In the blink of an eye, they captured one of the Mingyue Sect’s disciples walking outside. Pushing the man to the ground, Lu Baibi set a knife on the poor disciple’s throat. He smiled so gently he could squeeze out water. “There’s something I want to know, something you can answer, if you want. But, if you’re not honest and right, I’ll dig the meat off your body. ~~o(n_n)o~~”

Lu Qingqian took out a porcelain bottle from his bosom and opened it. A smile spider with fluffy hair climbed to the bottle’s mouth.

Shaking the spider before the unlucky disciple, Lu Qingqian said, “This is the five venoms spider. It can climb in through your butt and chew through your organs. And then, when it’s done, it’ll chew through your heart. You’ll die, but it will take several hours. ~\\(≧▽≦)/~”

An Yuan: “…”

This guy was a friend of Han Changsheng, but was so much more reliable than he was. At least he didn’t pretend to have a poison amidst his health tonics.

Han Changsheng facepalmed himself hard.

“That’s how you ask questions?” An Yuan asked, “Where are the questions? This is simply torture and confession. He’s not a murderer. This is too much.”

With a smile, Han Changsheng said, “Xiaoqing, Xiaobai, you are still so fond of joking. Let go of the little brother. He’ll piss his pants.”

Lu Baibi and Lu Qingqian looked at each other and obediently released the unlucky Mingyue disciple. Kneading their tender faces, Han Changsheng winked at them. “Don’t continue to joke around, ha ha, ha ha, ha ha ha.”

Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi were at a loss.

The disciple trembled. “Who are you and what do you want?”

An Yuan squatted and patted the unlucky guy on the shoulder. “Don’t be afraid, we just want to ask you something. We won’t hurt you.”

The disciple looked at his face and his entire body shook.

The other three were very pleasing to the eye. Although Lu Qingqian and Lu Baibi threatened him, they looked good. And Han Changsheng said they were joking, so he believed him. However, the Dog Lord with a pig face looked fierce, although he was the one acting the good person. Thus, looking at his face, the Mingyue disciple knew he was the most terrible person, okay!

An Yuan said, “Didn’t your sect’s Elder Yuan Yue  die a few months ago?”

The disciple trembled and nodded.

Again, An Yuan spoke, “How did he die? What happened on the day he died?”

Shaking, the disciple said, “Yes, it was the demonic cult that killed him. They robbed the Full Moon sword script.”

Crack!

A dart shot out and plunged into the earth less than an inch from the disciple’s crotch. Lu Qingqian dusted off his hands. “Dare to insult us again, and the dart won’t fall so short next time.”

The disciple’s eyes were round as his trousers slowly turned wet. Insult… Us?! So these guys were from the demonic cult!

Han Changsheng slapped his forehead. Should he knock out Xiaoqing and Xiaobai or An Yuan now?! Or, should he just knock himself out?! Ah?! Heaven’s playing with me!!
