It is a story several years ago.
My heart, it became like the shoes which are worn down to it’s heel.
I can still walk the walk. But, the condition is never good.
Even though it is physically ok, I am dissatisfied mentally.
Everyday is a round-trip from the house to the magical school.
I am getting bored of this everyday cycle.
Is having no close friends nor a boyfriend is the reason for a boring life?
For reasons such as accomplishments as the duke’s daughter so on and so forth, both parents told me to graduate from the school of magic. I’m tired of this, I cannot make up my mind if I should run away from my house and live alone.….. though I am still 15 years old.
But even I would want to take a breather.
Since the exam was finished just the other day, I requested for recreation to father. I was allowed because of my good grades.
That’s why today, I am swaying while riding in a carriage.I aim for that place, the canyon called the Great Canyon.(SK: The bad naming sense of Isekai novels..) The touch and feeling of the magnificent scenery of nature here, always recover my weak heart.
The problem is that the carriage will take five days huh. There are also seven guards beside the coachman, in total there is eight people following, I feel slightly bad for them.
An escort for a daughter’s hobby, tsk…. it is what I thought.
But it cannot be helped because my father attached them without asking.

Rastella changed her expression and went out. To confirm what was outside, I exited the carriage too.

First, I feel the magical power that is flowing within my body. In technical terms, it is called reading mana. By the way, everyone has mana, but sadly, there is a difference for everyone.
There are those person with lots of mana, there are also fewer people whom are unable to read mana. The latter are not able to become magicians.
Now then, after reading mana, an attribute selection has to be made for the magical power felt.
To match with the attribute of the magic to be used, it is necessary to transform the magical power.
Be it fire, water or wind.
By the way, this selection is done by colour.
Fire is red, earth is green, light is light yellow is what I feel.
If I want to use fire, I think of the red colour, and order the magical power to turn red.
To understand if it is successful, it can be felt in the body to some extent. If its fire, the body will feel warm; if its water, there will be a cool feeling; If its wind, body weight will feel lighter.
This work is called Colour Selection.
The only ones who need to do the task of Colour Selection, are those with two or more compatible elements.
It is because, those with only one element from the start only have that one colour in their magical power.
For those with multiple elements, their magical power have mixed colours and thus, they have to carry out this work of Colour Selection to select one. (SK: The author legitly repeated himself…)
I have multiple elements so regrettably, I can not skip this process.
And then reading mana, after selecting colour, next is to think of an image.
Of course, its for the magic I will use next. It would definitely function better if the imagination is vivid and strongly drawn. This process is called image creation.
After that is done, lastly is to shoot it.
Mana read, colour selected magical power gathered in one point, till the amount required is reached and released.
I like the place that it gathers, but it’s mainly in the hands or fingertips. For a person with a cane, it gathers in the cane. Probably, this is the hardest part.
I must remember the amount of magical power required to use that magic. If the magical power used is too little or too much compared to magic used, it will become incomplete.
If the magical power used is too little, the magic will be weaker by that amount lacking; The consequences of pouring too much magical power is the worst. On top of being weak, the magical power within will go crazy.
When firing magic, it is better to say the magic’s name.
As for why, it will fine-tune the amount of magical power to the correct amount. Although I don’t know the reason.
By the way, the chant is my favourite.
Even so, there will still be people who do it, raising image power via chanting. Or using the chant to measure the timing of injection. Which is the basics.
The wand, has an effect of increasing the speed of magical power gathering.
It is indeed the most optimal for quick firing.
It’s just the fact that when the speed of the flow increases, the timing to fire becomes proportionately severe. Practice is needed in this area.
As above, magic will activate once the process of reading mana, colour selection, imagination and firing is completed. Whether the process is slow or fast, is an indicator of talent.
