Lucy was trying to get his attention by changing into a bunny girl costume, planning to dance on the stage.
However, her plan is interrupted by Gajeel, who is revealed to have to want to be closer to his new guildmates, he wanted to sing a song of his own composition called "Best Friend".
However, when he started singing he did it so poorly that the members start throwing tomatoes at him.
The events are recorded by an overjoyed Jason, whose article causes Fairy Tail's reputation to get even worse.
A man with a long beard covered in a torn hooded cape is shown getting hold of one of the magazine's copies, and sheds tears while looking at Lucy's picture and pronouncing her name.
2 days later the Festival finally begins, and the first event is a few runup programs by each and every one individually...
Marksmanship, Drinking contest, Dancing content and many more, Ryouji and Violetta with Lisa and Anna were having a blast as his girls aced every challenger in every contest and soon they gathered up in a stage where his girls went behind the stages...
Before they did, he whispered something in their ears but none could hear what it was and showed a happy expression so they guessed something private...
The Miss Fairy Tail contest began with Max Alors acting as the announcer, and presents the contestants one after another:
Cana Alberona first appears and uses her Magic Card to infatuate the crowd.
Juvia then uses her Water Magic to charm the crowd.
Mirajane then ruins the mood by doing a few weird transformations...
Erza uses her re-quip magic, the crowd gets back in the mood.
Levy then appeals to the crowd and then Bisca Mulan as well.
Lucy finally begins her act which didn't amount to much and gave her turn to Violetta...
Violetta started igniting her fingers with a different kind of magic as she danced creating afterimages of her having thousands of hands...
Anna didn't do much only a few acrobatics with levitation Magic but stole the stage with her smile...
Lisa started with Flame and Water magic creating dual like flowers floating on the air before she snapped her fingers and turned them in small fireworks as she bowed and left.
As everyone was waiting for all of them to appear suddenly Evergreen came out of the backstage, claiming to be the rightful winner, revealing to have caused all the other contestants to turn to stone, much to everyone's dismay.
Makarov : What is the meaning of this!!!! Revert them back now!!!
Evergreen : I can't do that!!!
Before Makarov could lash at her Laxus and the rest of the Thunder God Tribe appeared as well before the shocked eyes of the other guild members.
Laxus : She can't, old man... It's part of the game i had planned!!!
Makarov : Game you said?? Harming others and treat it as a game...
Laxus : Yes!!! A Game To decide the strongest in Fairy Tail is, and that the petrified girls will be kept as hostages to prevent their guildmates from breaking the rules of the game.
