"Before any of you say anything, let- Wait wait wait!" Ed tried to explain himself only to see Emilia and Ellie rushing towards him with killing intent in their eyes. "Hayato knew about the plan as well!" Before they could get to him, he chose to sacrifice his friend as well. Hayato opened his eyes wide at this. But, he smiled, even more, when he saw Emilia and Ellie ignore what Ed had just told him. They focused on Ed and Ed alone.
"I'm sorry for making you worry about me." Ed apologized sincerely as he was being hit by the two of them. This apology was directed to all those that had no idea about his plan. Ed had used two Transformation cards on himself and on the man he had killed. He couldn't risk the plan being found out by the lack of reaction from his comrades, so he chose to let some of out of the loop.
Ed had thought hard about the plan. He thought about using Zero Sign to sneak into the headquarters and then teleport the supreme commander. But, Zero Sign had a limited use time, so he couldn't rely on it a lot. He also had no idea about the leader's face or features. He couldn't risk it and end up taking some lower class commander instead.
He also had to burn the body of the man he killed, since he didn't know if the Transformation card would last as long on a dead body. It was also a good way for the enemy commanders not to pester him as to why he didn't bring it with him. If they had asked, he would have said that he did it to escape Bard and Audun.
"Long time no see, Stephanie. Have you been well?" Hayato chose to greet the friend watching them and giggling.
"Long time no see indeed, Hayato!" Emilia and Ellie stopped attacking Ed and turned back towards Stephanie. They were in the middle of a way, yet they had the audacity to chat. Ed breathed in relief. The attacks didn't hurt him, but it was still a traumatic experience. Once people saw his sigh, they surrounded him. It was Bard, Audun, Alicia, Leon, and Charlie.
"You've done quite the good job riling us up, huh kid?" Audun smiled maniacally as he gripped his Halberd.
"You made me think I shot your dead boy, you brat!" Bard seemed to be affected by that memory. The two of them surrounded Ed and stopped him from retreating.
"Not now, not now! We have a war to finish." Ed stopped them as he looked back at the army, still undecided on what to do concerning the golem. They also heard Ed saying their supreme commander was going to die, but they didn't believe him.
"Sieg." Ed called out to his companion and said, "You can undo the barrier. Show them fear instead and try not to get our allies involved." Sieg didn't say anything and just appeared near the foot of the golem. Next, to him, the 100 men he had turned into zombies stood.
"Raise!" Sieg spoke and a gigantic magical formation appeared. It was a large black-purple circle that spanned the entire battlefield. The dead bodies on the ground start twitching as black smoke from the circle entered them. Sieg created a massive army of the undead from all of the enemies that died. The enemies could only look in horror as their allies raised and started approaching them.
Sieg summoned the eight Dullahans and let them lead the zombie armies. The 100 men joined them and engaged in combat against the enemies.
"You guys got ready too, right?" Ed spoke to his friends, who wore the equipment he had given them. Emilia had a one-piece white dress. Ellie and Alicia had similar ones that were silver and blue in color. Hayato had a leather shirt with spikes on the shoulder, and black pants similar to Ed's. Eric had a set similar Ed's, while Griffin had one similar to Hayato's. All the others had such equipment.
"Merry, WarGreymon. You can have the first shot at the enemies in the back." As Ed spoke, those two flew to the left and right respectively. WarGreymon started charging a gigantic flame ball, which he had enhanced with QI and Nen. Merry had countless white balls appear next to her. They numbered in the hundreds and continued to increase. At the same time, they released the attacks.
Two figures emerged out of the armies and tried to stop the attacks. "Something like this is nothing!" They boasted as such. One of them tried to block WarGreymon's attack with his bare hands but found out that it was impossible. His QI couldn't help, and of course, his body had nothing to provide as a defense against the flame ball. He hands burst into flames, and soon his entire body was engulfed in the fire.
The man who tried to stop Merry's attacks turned into Swiss cheese with so many holes in his body. It was their own fault for underestimating their enemy. A trump card is a thing that appears at the very last moment, and the sudden appearance of these two should have been clear to them.
"Stephanie. You can go ahead and smash them if you want. As for everyone, you know what is needed. I'll take care of the commanders."
"Will you need help?" Hayato told him as he was worried about the strength of the commanders.
"Nope," Ed said as he flew towards the commanders' tent that he had just left. Garu and Goburou laid waste to the armies of the left and right with their monster armies. Gobuta and Suika took care of the back and started dealing massive damage to them. The Blood sect army was caught off guard and took a long time to organize its thoughts. By that time, Ed's friends and companions had joined the fight and messed the enemies up even more. The greatest factor was the fear induced by the undead army Sieg had created.
