Helan Fangnian opened his eyes only to find the both of them had disappeared from the bed, not a single trace was left behind. He slowly sat up to pull apart the curtains and open up the windows.
It was silent and serene in a hospital at night.
This silence reminded Helan Fangnian of the first night he had met Yan Qingsi.
He was in an undercover mission to gather intel and evidence from the mafia, he had been found out and was hunted by them. At the same time, Yan Qingsi too was avoiding her own adversaries, and the both of them coincidentally ran into each other, in a foreign land and somehow beyond all odds were both from the same country and spoke the same language. And so, being in the same circumstances they got to know each other from the ironic experience.
It felt like a scene from a movie.

Out of sudden, the silence was broken by the loud squeak of the door being pushed open, as the door swung open, Yue Tingfeng was hugging Yan Qingsi as he walked in. All while having a smug look on his face.
“Good lord, what are you doing all awake at this hour, stop standing there all sad and grieving with the windows opened. Close the damn windows would you, you’re letting the mosquitoes in. You may not mind about being bitten by mosquitoes, but I do very much.” Yue Tingfeng exclaimed.
“You both weren’t asleep as well at this hour.” Helan Fangnian replied as he shut the windows.
