Chapter 10: Shameless Jiang Li (2)

I switched off the Computer, stretched my body, and was not feeling much sleepy.
Washed my face a little, I went to the kitchen and pulled out a milk carton and two eggs from the refrigerator. Warmed milk a little, boiled eggs, a make do breakfast one could eat; I really missed the breakfast made by my old woman Xiao Qi Ling.
After eating breakfast, I was feeling really bored, I just leaned on the sofa to watch TV. The evil DVD from yesterday was there, I took it out to throw it in the trash, this calmed down the resentment in my heart a bit.
Had watched TV just for a while when Jiang Li came from outside. He was wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt with sport shorts, carrying a towel in his hands, sweat streaming down his head, looked like he just came back from his morning exercise, such a good kid.
I felt too lazy to say even hello to him and continued to lean on the sofa while watching TV.
Jiang Li also without saying a word went straight to the bathroom; this kid was really a neat freak.
Throughout the entire morning Jiang Li was in his room, only occasionally came out to go to WC or for coffee, I was stuck on the sofa watching TV, when bored with TV went online and when bored online went back to watch TV, so on, the morning passed quickly.
Jiang Li’s home had a huge kitchen but the kitchen did not even have an onion, I had to run down to the supermarket to buy some vegetables and rice and come back to do some simple cooking. I was doing so, when suddenly doorbell rang, I had to run while wearing an apron to open the door.
Only to see a red capped man, face as radiant as Sun, smiling at me and said: “Hello, this is the lunch you ordered, a total of fifty two yuan.”
I was skeptical: "I did not order any takeaway?"
"Yes, I have ordered." Jiang Li’s voice came from behind me. He came over and took the plastic bags of food from that man, then handed the already prepared money for the order. It seemed he often called this restaurant for takeaway, thus was already familiar with price of various foods, this could also be guessed from the degree of emptiness in his kitchen.
I escaped to the kitchen, simply to clean up a bit, as lunch was already prepared.
In Jiang Li’s home dining area and living room were separated, holding my own meal I walked into the dining area, where Jiang Li was slowly enjoying his takeout. To be honest, I was really not used to see a man eating that slowly, people say that a man with a talent to sweep clean is really manly, is that true? Nevertheless, I had to admit, Jiang Li looked very pleasant while eating, for the first time in my life I discovered that men can also eat elegantly. Humph, doing everything so elegantly, could he do the ‘indigestion’ elegantly as well?
I sat at the table, glanced at the disposable chopsticks in Jiang Li’s hands, said "Eighty percent of disposable chopsticks in our country do not meet the sanitary standards.”
Jiang Li gave me a look of forbearance and tolerance and without saying anything continued to eat.
I looked at his meal, tried my best to pull out a sneer, said: “These vegetables probably were not even washed, you never know there still could be several germs in them…..”
Jiang Li coldly stared at me, put down the chopsticks from the restaurant. Since I avenged for the last night my good mood soared, took the chopsticks and began to eat. I felt, that the rice I cooked was not hard to eat but in comparison to my mother’s cooking they still lagged several levels.
Just when I thought that Jiang Li had left off, he returned back to the dining area with a pair of ebony chopsticks in the hands. I was going to continue to nauseate him but had not even suspected that the chopsticks he was carrying would come directly towards my rice bowl.
I took the stance of ‘mother hen protecting her chicks’ covering the fried dishes with my hands, angrily said: "What are you doing?"
Jiang Li opened his rotten mouth and said: "Anyway, you are not going to eat it all."
I did not bother to hide the feeling of pride on my face, smiled and said: "what I cannot eat I will throw it in the trash can, you don’t need to worry about the work.”
Jiang Li peered through his eyelashes, said: “This plate is mine, as well as this bowl and chopsticks. The cooking gas and electricity with which you cooked the dish was also mine, so I also have right on this dish.”
I turned my head away and argued back: “All marital properties are jointly owned by the married couple, what’s yours is mine.”
Jiang Li continued further: "Yes, you are also mine, so half of the rice cooked by you is also mine.”

Jiang Li did not wait for my reply; just like that brought his rotten hand forward took my bowl and began to enjoy the fruits of my labor, as if it’s perfectly justifiable.
I really was a fool, how could I let him lead me around by the nose!
