Before the situation to dissolve into further chaos, Nine whacked Deltan over the head.

"Stop it," Nine said, effectively calming down the heated atmosphere. "Just because the egg is hatching early doesn't mean there's something wrong."

"You're right," Deltan said, calming down at his younger brother's logical words. The calmness in his voice seeped into Deltan, affecting him.

"Mm. The reason why your son is hatching doesn't matter at all. Let's just watch for now."

Everyone filed into the room quietly, as if being loud would stop Deltan's heir from hatching. In the silence of the room, the sounds of the shell cracking continued to be heard.

All eyes were on the blue shell, waiting patiently for Raphael to emerge.

Nine was the calmest one in the room. She could feel the emotions that were being felt by Raphael, which was full of curiosity. There was no pain or discomfort felt by him, which was the main reason why she was as calm as she was. Otherwise, she would not be any different from the worried silence in the room.

However, she had no plausible way to explain it to them properly, so she would just allow them to witness his 'birth'.

Before long, a small, pale hand emerged from the hole, which then rapidly broke the rest of the egg down.

Deltan held his breath as his heart palpitated. He watched with wide eyes, an unknown feeling blossoming within him. Was this… what it was like to be a parent?

As the Eldest Prince stared at his son for the first time, a film of tears appeared on his eyes as he took on his son for the first time.

Raphael had the same shade of blue hair and eyes like his parent, reflecting the dominant genes of the Destan Royalty. It was the reason why almost everyone knew they were in the presence of the Destan family.

Their dark blue hair and blue eyes the shade of an everchanging night, deep with various shades of blue hues as the sun hit in different ways. In a way, the Destan Royalty's eyes reminded everyone of a jewel, which was why no one was able to imitate a prince or princess from the Destan family.

Instantly, almost everyone in the room fell in love with the little boy who looked sleepy due to the excess amount of energy used to break out of the shell.

Deltan reached out with shaky hands, cradling his son to himself. He instantly melted when Raphael gave him a sleepy smile, one hand clutching his shirt as he went to sleep.

The Eldest Prince felt like gushing and was just a shade away from cooing at the small infant.

"Congratulations," Nine said, smiling at her eldest brother, though she didn't think he could hear her at all. He was utterly lost as he stared at his son with a dopey smile.

At this time, Nine had a faint inkling that Raphael was going to grow up spoiled by a lot of people. She glanced at everyone's faces, confirming it. The little prince was going to grow up wanting for nothing at all.

Nine saw how their father was itching to hold his grandson when she stopped him. "Father, wait. You shouldn't separate Raphael and Deltan right now."

By now, the room was mostly empty. Her students had left to give Deltan some space, opting to come back another day where they would try and steal the infant away from the prince.

Avner paused. "Oh, why?" he said puzzled.

"Not until we get some blood into him at least," Nine said, alarming the room.

"Blood? Raphael is born a Vampire?"

Nine nodded, poking Raphael's white cheek. "Do you think that skin tone belongs to a human? Look," she said, slicing open the tip of her finger.

The moment the smell of blood permeated the air, Raphael's eyes opened, reaching out in Nine's direction.

She accepted Raphael from Deltan, feeding him the contents of her blood. Raphael drank hungrily, clutching onto her finger. Nine couldn't help but smile at the cute baby, patting his head gently before passing him back to his father.

Deltan blanked. "Can Vampires be born as children too?"

Nine raised a brow. "You are essentially procreating through the use of your genes. What's so weird about it?"

"I thought that it was possible because I used the blood of humans as well. I see. Since my blood was the main ingredient, Raphael mostly takes after me. I suppose that makes sense."

Nine nodded, leaving with Nocturne. She would leave Deltan alone with his son for now. The sun was already about to set.

However, before they could leave, Zenith blocked their path.

"Hello! Nine!" Zenith said cheerfully, pausing when Nocturne's glare pierced into him. "Err, I mean, Your Highness!"

Nine paused, staring at the man. She had been content to let him off with a brief pass for now because she was in a good mood.

"Speak," she said, causing the man to brighten up.

Surprisingly, it didn't seem like he was affected by her Charm at all. By now, her curiosity was aroused.

"Your Highness, can I join and be part of Cosmos City?"

Nine paused, studying the man. Though he was slightly strange, it didn't seem like he meant any harm, and from what she could tell, he had after all stopped to try and help her brother when he was in distress.

"I allow it," Nine said slowly, ignoring the screen that popped up in front of the man. She acted the part of an 'NPC', waving her hand as she left with Nocturne.

Nocturne grabbed her hand, causing her to look down at him. She hid her smirk at Nocturne's jealous face, squeezing his hand tighter. He had been jealous in the wake of Misha's affections, until she had been forced to pull him aside to tell him that the affection she felt for her Master made her feel like Nine was untouchable to her, causing the man to cool down slightly from the jealousy that had been burning up his insides.

"Still want to go fight? Or do you want to continue our date?" Nine said, waiting for his answer.

"Neither," Nocturne said. "We have to make something that will protect Raphael. I feel uneasy leaving him defenceless in these dire times."

"Mm," Nine agreed. "However, he isn't defenceless. You can already tell that Dimitri is going to be running himself ragged keeping an eye on both my older brother and his son. You should have seen the look in his eyes."

Nocturne paused, wavering. "Alright then," he relented. After all, he had been looking forward to their date only to be interrupted while it was barely kicking off. "We can make some protection for him together after the date."

Nine smiled, kissing the back of his hand. "As my lady commands," she said teasingly, enjoying the flush that crept up her wife's neck. She loved how Nocturne acted like he was angry when he really wasn't, just to try and hide his embarrassment.

She wondered if it was because the two of them were similar in all the ways it mattered that she found herself falling more and more in love every day. Sometimes, she wished that she was able to read his emotions as well, but at the same time, she was scared about what that would do to her.

Nocturne huffed, tilting his chin up in a mock arrogant manner. "That's right. Husband, bring me back to where we left off on our date!"

Nine laughed, teleporting them.
