Nocturne froze.

This was unexpected. He had never thought about Nine feeding from him before. Just the thought about it alone made his face flush.

When the fangs pierced his neck, Nocturne gasped. The sudden shock of electricity jolted through his system. The man tried his best to stifle his sounds, but he was probably failing extremely badly.

If he thought that was bad, when Nine started sucking, it was a hundred times worse. He felt like he was drowning at the intensity of pleasure that was coursing through his veins. Was this how Nine felt every time he fed from him? He never even showed any of it on his face! Somehow, in the midst of the pleasure, that one thought burst out in indignity. He would have laughed had he been able to, but all he could think about was the intense feelings wrecking his body.

Nocturne shuddered, his arms wrapping around Nine to keep himself anchored and sane. He bit the inside of his cheek to stop any noises from escaping. His fangs extended unintentionally, wounding the inside of his mouth.

Nine was practically purring as she sucked Nocturne's blood. She had been struggling to control herself ever since that one time she bit the man under eternal sleep to convert him properly.

The one time she bit him, it was like tasting heaven for the first time. If she didn't have her iron control over herself, she was sure that she would have succumbed a long time ago. She had still been desperately keeping an arm's length away from Nocturne at that time so that she wouldn't grow attached, but now that she gave in a little, she found that what little of her control over herself didn't seem to matter anymore.

Nine could hear Nocturne's thudding heartbeat very clearly. In fact, it was so quick that she was a little worried. Having drank her fill, Nine pulled back and looked at Nocturne in concern.

His face was entirely red, and he was looking anywhere but her.

She had never seen him look so embarrassed in front of her. Nine couldn't help but stare at him, burning the sight into her memory. She looked down and coughed.

"Do you want to take care of that?" she asked, faux innocently.

Nocturne slowly snapped out of his daze. "Take care of that?" he repeated, his face confused.

Nine silently thought that for a SS ranking in intelligence, why did he look kind of dumb? But she secretly thought that he was kind of cute like this as well.

She looked down pointedly at Nocturne's pants.

Nocturne followed the direction she was looking, scrambling off her lap to the other side of the room so quickly that she wondered if he broke through Tiers. If his face was red before, it was nothing compared to how it was now.

It almost looked like she would be able to squeeze out blood with another poke, so she indeed followed her natural instincts.

She appeared before him and poked his cheek almost curiously.

Nocturne made a strangled sound, dashing out the doors before Nine could see any more of him embarrassing himself.

Nine suppressed her amusement and leisurely followed after him. It felt rather novel to be the one following after someone's footsteps instead. She was usually the one being followed.

Nocturne shut himself in his room, quickly closing the doors. He felt like screaming. Whyyyy. Why did his body betray him like that?! It didn't even feel that good! He paused. Alright, that was a lie. He did feel that good. It was so good, in fact, that his body decided it wanted in on this as well.

The silver-haired Vampire buried his face in his hands. Ah, what if he freaked Nine out because he abruptly reminded him that he was male? He let out a whine at the back of his throat. What if Nine decided that he wanted nothing to do with him anymore?

How would he live then?!

Horrified, he was so anxious and embarrassed that he actually slipped into a state of calm. It almost felt like nothing could touch him now.

Then of course, Nine knocked on his door and subsequently knocked him out of the calm state he had descended into. Nocturne silently looked to the ceiling like praying for help. He so desperately wanted to go back to his cool self prior to Nine, but somehow, his husband just seemed to strip every sense of self-dignity from him and made him behave in such an uncool manner.

Every. Single. Time.

Nine knocked on the door of Nocturne's room, trying not to sound like she was laughing at his expense, taking pity on him.

"Nocturne," Nine murmured. "It's a perfectly normal reaction," she said soothingly, trying her hand at comforting for once.

Nocturne scowled, feeling a strange mix of embarrassed and fondness for the man outside his door. At the same time, he just felt like burying himself in his blanket and screaming. On the bright side, he was no longer… indisposed.

Suddenly, he heard the sounds of clashing metal outside. Startled, Nocturne immediately flung open the door, only to be greeted with Nine playing around with 'Justine'.

He stared at Nine bullying 'Justine' speechlessly. He had seen this scene countless times over the past couple of days. Apparently, the young assassin had given up on his pretence after being ditched by everyone without a word.

A few days after Nine returned to her residence, Justin could be seen coming over in all sorts of manners and trying to 'assassinate' Nine, but all he could see was Nine bullying the young preteen.

Having already flung the door open, he was just about to close it again when Nine darted forward to stop him. She flung away the young Wererabbit before grabbing her wife's wrist and dragging him into his chambers before shutting it finally.

Nocturne just stared at her in bewilderment. He buried his face in his hands, almost wishing he was dreaming.

"Nox," Nine coaxed, her voice taking on a softer quality. Though she liked to bully him, she wouldn't take things too far, and she wouldn't give him a complex about himself if she could help it. She hadn't expected him to react so strongly earlier, so she was taking steps to remedy it.

Nocturne's head shot up. "What?" he said.

"Nox," Nine said. "You don't want me to call you that?"

"I – I," Nocturne uncharacteristically stuttered, unsure how to react to this sudden turn of events. His face was already as red as it could get, so he figured that he could just shamelessly act like Nine's words weren't causing a giant tidal wave within him. Could he take this as an admission that he wasn't just imagining things in his head?

"Nox," Nine whispered in his ear.

Nocturne just hid his face in his hands and gave the smallest nods.

Nine smirked and hugged him to her body.

Nocturne tried to smother himself using his hands.
