Standing in front of the mirror, Yoona straightened her outfit. She was wearing a simple white blouse under a black blazer. Since she didn't feel too comfortable in her tight a-line skirt, she opted for her dress pants instead.

She looked at herself, wondering if this was the right outfit to wear, before nodding. Simplicity was the best. She just didn't want to look out of place in such a large company.

With a deep breath, she nodded again. It was time. She grabbed her purse and began to walk out the door. Since she didn't want anyone to know about her relations with Minhyun, they decided to go their separate ways to the company.

"Good morning Miss," Wooyoung said. He opened the car door for her and gently bowed.

A light smile entered her face. "Good morning to you too, Wooyoung."

"You seem especially happy today. Are you that excited for work?" He asked while she made her way to the back seat.

"I am!" She said with a giggle. "I just can't wait to enter the corporate world."

While they made their way to the company, Yoona looked out the window. Starting a new chapter of her life was exciting. She couldn't contain the happiness within her.

She wasn't stupid. She knew that working was hard and many people wouldn't understand why she was like this. However, in her perspective, this job opportunity was something she had been working for her whole life. Finally, she was going to experience what it would be like to be a true adult.

It will be tiring yes. But it was a new world for her.

--

The MH building was hard to ignore. The enormous structure towered over everything else, the windows reflecting the bright sun. Yoona's neck hurt from trying to look up to the top of it.

Once Wooyoung parked near the building, Yoona let out a deep breath. She could do this.

"Are you sure you don't want me to park more closer?" Wooyoung asked.

She shook her head. "No thanks!"

Since the car was expensive, she felt like it would arise some suspicion. After all, why would a mere office worker have a million dollar car with a driver?

She opened the door and sent him a wave. "I'll get going now."

"Take care Miss."

Taking her back and hanging it on her shoulder, she walked towards the building. Around her neck was the office card that she so coveted when she looked at other workers during the restaurant days.

Other people were walking on the streets too and Yoona blended in as she made her way to MH. Once she entered through the doors of the building, she looked around. The whole building was sparkling white with the MH logo stamped above the secretary desk. There was many people in the lobby talking and sipping their coffee.

Feeling a bit awkward, she wondered where Eunha was. Since her friend had been working here for longer, she was supposed to show Yoona around the ropes.

"Yoona, over here!"

When Yoona turned her head, she could see Eunha waving her arms.

A small squeal escaped her mouth as she made her way quickly to her friend. They hugged tightly.

"You look so good," Eunha cooed with a smile.

Yoona spun around and let out a laugh. "Thank you."

Eunha grabbed her hand. "Now come with me. Let's see Lucas again."

Yoona was excited to see her old friend. How much would he have changed throughout the months? How was he doing now? Was he still as grumpy as ever?

They swiped their cards through the ID card reader to be able to enter the elevator area. To Yoona's surprise, there was a specific elevator that was left untouched. It was also fancier than the other elevators in the vicinity.

Eunha leaned over to whisper in her ear. "That's your boyfriend's elevator."

"That makes sense," she said. Of course, Minhyun wouldn't ride the same elevator. He was too high in position to be with everyone else.

"Has he given you access to it?" Eunha asked with a giggle.

She played with the card in her hand. According to Minhyun, she was given more than 90% of access to this current building. Knowing his personality, she probably had that elevator's access as well. However, she wasn't going to use it knowing that it would be a total obvious sign that she was related to Minhyun in some sort of way.

They made their way to the fifth floor. Once they exited the elevator, they made their way down the hall, passing other offices. Since the building was not only tall, but large in width, it took a while to reach their office which was near the end. Once she reached the smaller area, she could see Lucas at a desk, typing on a computer.

He looked good. His blonde hair was kept tidy with gel, made into a nice pompadour. He was wearing a loose white collared shirt and black pants. Lucas had always been popular with the ladies when it came to looks, but looking at him now, he almost looked like an actor.

Yoona covered her mouth with her hands before yelling out his name. "Lucas!"

He looked up, his eyes widening. He one scanned Yoona, shocked by how much the young girl had changed, before standing up. He walked towards her with his arms open.

"Wow. I can't believe it's you. It's been so long."

They hugged and Yoona let out a laugh. Once they seperated she lightly hit his shoulder. "Look at you, looking all snazzy."

He straightened his collar. "I got to dress up appropriately for work you know? But I can't wait to go back to my chef outfit."

Lucas raised an eyebrow. "You're looking great."

Yoona flipped her hair. "I know."

"You're rich boyfriend had really made a big difference huh? You don't look poor anymore."

She gasped. Despite not seeing each other for so long, he didn't change his rude ways. Nonetheless, she still missed this side of him.

"Thanks," she said sarcastically.

With his hands placed in his pockets, he stayed silent for a moment. Then, he decided to ask the question on his mind. "You also look a lot happier. He must be treating you well."

Yoona's eyes widened. "You noticed huh?"

"Of course. You're my friend, I notice everything about you."

In the corner, Eunha was trying hard not to hide her laugh. By the way Lucas looked at Yoona it was so obvious that he was still interested in her. The fact that he placed himself in the friendzone was sad. But also karma for being such so mean to her.

She let out a giggle. "Thanks Lucas. You're the best."

"Of course I am," he replied. "Anyways, we should start working. I'll update you on our work plans."

"Okay!"
