Respecting the tradition, all three families gathered at the Grey's residence to celebrate the holidays together.

Lillian Grey is busy with her father, Edwin, while Diego did so with his mother, Donna. Meantime the rest of the party remained huddled together in the living room where they watched and enjoyed the Holiday programs on television. The ladies argued against the guys in choosing the channel. Sports and news fought against daytime talk shows and dramas.

Settling on to watch a holiday movie, Anna calmed down the tension as she switched the channel to screen the film.

Everyone snuggled together under a single blanket holding their respective warm Hot Chocolate, Cider cocktail, Buttered Rum, and other holiday favorites. The entire house decorated and the Christmas tree raised the seasonal spirits by spreading joy and fun.

..

Meanwhile, the four rustled in the kitchen all alone without having to associate with the rest of the party.

They were busy with hands occupying utensils and ingredients. The two out of the four had the most work while their happy helpers entertained themselves under stress.

Edwin and Donna are in charge of preparing dinner on Christmas Eve. The two being the best cooks of the bunch took the honor in celebrating the holidays with delectable meals together. The three little kids, who eventually led their families to bond as well, started this tradition long back and are still following it every year.

**

A round of emotions played amongst the faces of the bearers watching the movie together.

Some cried while some sniffed, some laughed while the rest tittered during funny reels.

Soon, to disturb their entertainment, an announcement came to their ears in pleasure.

Edwin entered the living space to find the band sticking close together and enjoying the movie. With a smile, he closed the distance and informed them that the dinner is ready.

Harold, Anna's father, handed his drink to Edwin as the two share similar tastes. Edwin thanked and sipped the delicious liquid as he covered over them from behind and continued watching the movie.

Another announcement followed within minutes as the clock hit eight on Christmas evening.

The party assembled on the dinner table.

A feast, for their eyes, met the food modeled on the table, lavishly tempting them at once.

Starting from the one-pot French onion soup, standing next to the main dishes which included Peppercorn beef tenderloin with horseradish cream sauce, roasted turkey breast with root veggies, Beef bourguignon, and Orange ginger roasted chicken with fennel and radicchio salad.

Surrounding the mains at the center of the table scattered the sides: Creamy garlic mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potato, pear, and onion, Whole roasted cauliflower with caper vinaigrette, Nutty Green beans and asparagus with bacon, and Gingery shrimp toasts.

The crowd applauded and cheered for the two master cooks and their efforts in preparing a feast for the group.

Meanwhile, Donna just added the baskets of Butter Rosemary Rolls, placing it at empty spaces and returned to seize the wine for adults and special holiday drinks for kids.

Huddling around the table, each took a seat, mixed-up blood ties, amongst the friends, the three families sat down for dinner.

Donna and Edwin said grace, and everyone added their little wish along with a short prayer. Thanking the Lord for their healthy life, the crowd dug into the food with much joy and all smiles.

Edwin and Donna made sure to pass the dishes and recommend the ones for specifics. Meanwhile, the Lewis family, Anna's parents, specializes in preparing cocktails; they often left their seats to refill the emptied glasses with their delicious creations.

The meat cooked tender and still hot, evoked the taste buds, and the side salads and greens went well with the pairings.

They busily chatted about happy events throughout the year while the kids made sure to gossip about their presents. Everyone savored the food at their pace without hush and rush but only delightful chattering.

The dinner itself felt perfect and complete with its fans.

Having soaked entirely in the land of delicious meals, the crowd thanked endlessly to their chefs.

"Oh, please make room for desserts, and that will make us even happier," Donna announced as Edwin set the table for sweet treats.

Three plates of dishes arrived fashionably late to the table.

The crowd gasped in surprise.

Chocolate Gingerbread cake covered in white chocolate buttercream, Gluten-free chocolate Ganache tart as per Edwin's intelligence, and Cranberry cheesecake – all three sat at heart.

Donna and Edwin mused the audience by cutting a piece of each and plate them carefully without messing its perfection.

Everyone took pleasure in grabbing their first favorites and right away tasted the desserts;

No longer can they feel like stuffed already, for it is a ritual to finish the meal with the sweets. Though with a cautious mind, Edwin advised serving a regular portion while preserving the rest, which served when needed second attention.

Donna agreed.

To their astonishment, the kids welcomed a second round of the chocolate tart and cheesecake while the gingerbread received the adult's kindness.

..

Leaving the plate empty on the table, one by one, left to take refuge in the living room. This time no one is left behind.

Everyone took their own seats separately after a heavy scrumptious meal. The television left on for the countdown. The kids huddled, lying on the ground next to the couch, and the parents sat together as couples.

Lillian Grey, who saw her father alone, unlike Anna's or Diego's parents, rose from her place and went to sit next to her father.

She lay to rest on his firm chest and hugged while Edwin posed a pleasant smile to his daughter's play. He returned her hug with a gentle peck on her forehead.

Anna and Diego noticed it from down and smiled at the little affection the father and daughter silently displayed. They glanced at each other and soon rose to seek their parents, respectively.

Anna sat in the middle, between her mother and father, while Diego hugged his mother dearly.

The elders patted and caressed their kids lovingly, and all three families that night welcomed Christmas together.
