The time was now 8 AM and Lia had just woken up. The moment she came out of her room, Lia desperately searched for her mother and found her in the living room reading the newspaper.

Giselle saw the sleepy little angel walking towards her. She then quickly grabbed her to the couch and hugged her tightly.

"Mom?" Lia grunted. But she loved her mother's early morning cuddling session.

"What? You looked so cute and sleepy baby... Did you sleep well last night?" Giselle tickled her kid. She knew where Lia's sensitive and ticklish and she took the opportunity to play and have some fun with her daughter. Despite feeling sleepy, Lia woke up immediately as soon as her mother started playing. The little girl floundered but Giselle didn't leave her. Instead, she grabbed Lia's hand firmly and continued tickling.

"Mom, stop it. Please. I can't breath." Lia pleaded. Giselle stopped but she still kept cuddling with Lia. Lia felt comfortable.

"Hmm... Did everyone leave?" Lia wanted to know what happened after she went to bed.

"Honey, its the next day already. Everyone left safe and sound. So how did you enjoy the party?" Giselle asked her daughter; curious to know if Lia liked her mother's friends.

"I liked uncle Jake. He played with me and even gave a present." Lia said cheerfully. Giselle was actually surprised to know that, "UNCLE". Since when did she call Anna's husband like that.

'Were they friend-zoning separately while I was away' - Giselle thought to herself.

"Uncle?" Giselle asked.

"Yes, uncle Jake," Lia replied looking at her puzzled mother. Lia continued...

"You look so stunned, mother. Let me explain... Anna is your friend right? Well, while I was saying my goodnights to them. Anna had requested me to call her "Aunty" and Jake as "Uncle" hereafter. They even requested me to come to visit them. We should go, mom, one day. I promised uncle Jake that I would come to play with him soon." Lia kept talking as Giselle understood the scenario. She felt grateful to Anna and Jake. Giselle promised Lia to visit them soon.

"So, that's it? Aren't you missing someone important." Giselle expected.

Lia kept struggling to answer for few seconds. Once it hit her, Lia felt super enthusiastic. She looked at her mother with eyes that revealed everything.

"Oh my gosh, Grandma and Grandpa... mom I love them so much. Why haven't I met them already?" Lia groaned. But the feeling of meeting her grandparents didn't stop. She continued...

"I liked grandpa a lot. Grandma was very silent. But I still love her." Lia answered.

"Hmm... I know. But grandma told me that you looked so beautiful that she just couldn't believe it's her real granddaughter. Don't worry. She loves you so much that she keeps calling me from the morning to bring you there." Giselle faced the pressure. A lot of her guests from last night had requested Giselle to bring her daughter to their home. It makes sense because after she had gone away for years, it's natural for her closest acquaintance to make such requests.

"So we're going today to grandpa's house?" Lia's eyes widened in excitement.

On the other hand, Giselle's look revealed that it ain't happening today. But she didn't want Lia to look all gloomy.

"Don't feel down, I will take you there soon but first things first, You need to start school," Giselle said firmly.

"Uh-oh" Lia felt trapped.

"Don't uh-oh me, enough with the leave and stuff. In fact, I have plans for us today. We are going to visit my school."

"Really?" Lia felt relieved somehow.

"Yes. I called one of my old teachers. She said that admission is still open. So, we're going take a look and if you like it. We can get the admission form and proceed further." Giselle planned accordingly.

"Mom's school? Well, let me see if I like it there or not." Lia grinned.

"Hey, my school is still awesome. You'll know when you see it. So, go get ready and we are leaving after having breakfast." Giselle sounded serious.

"Okay. Mom?"

"What?"

"Can I stay like this for some time?"

Lia slept on Giselle's lap. She loves to sleep on her mother's lap. It's been a while since Lia slept like that. So, she appealed until her mother approved.

Giselle felt emotional and bent down to give Lia a peck on her cheeks. After letting her daughter enjoy a small nap, Giselle went on to prepare breakfast. Meanwhile, Lia was getting ready. She wore her new white jeans with a rose tee. It was simple and suited Lia very well. She looked mature and confident in her new look. Giselle liked it too. They both had breakfast and Giselle let Lia watch TV while she was getting ready. Lia watched her favorite cartoon 'SpongeBob SquarePants'. It was her all-time favorite show.
