"Lia!!!, finish your fries," Giselle shouted.
Lia returned from washing her hands and had a glass of water. She replied, "Mom, they're fries. I can snack on them while I talk to dad. Now, go have your dinner while I'm chatting."
Lia grabbed Giselle's phone and went to her room. She made sure to close the door. Looking at her, Giselle felt like the father and daughter seemed to hide something from her.
Soon later, Giselle finished her dinner, cleaned the dishes and even got ready to go to bed.
But Lia never came out of her room.
"Lia?" Giselle knocked on. Only after a few seconds later, Lia answered her mother. She gave back the mobile phone to Giselle.
"Did you talk to your father?" Giselle questioned.
"Yeah, mom. we were talking about school. He didn't know about my friends, right!!! I was telling dad about my school adventure before joining. Remember?" Lia replied.
"Oh, that one. Yeah, I remember. For a minute I thought you guys were planning something suspicious. Now, it's already late. Go to sleep." Giselle put Lia on the bed and kissed her goodnight.
Giselle returned back to her room. She received a text, it was from Ethan. She opened it up to read.

Lia made friends already. I'm proud of her. She's like me in that category. Giselle, YOU better be strong and face your challenge. It's all just starting trouble. Once you settle in, I know you'll be the best version of yourself. Anyways, expecting good news from your work. Also, if somebody's disturbing you, you give them my number. Giselle giggled while reading Ethan's message. He knew how to change the mood instantly. As she was about to lie down to sleep. She heard a knock outside her room. It must be Lia. Before Giselle woke up to see Lia, the little girl requested,
"Mom, Can I come in?"
"Ah, sure baby. Come in, what's wrong?"
Lia entered Giselle's room slowly. However, she stopped right at the door. Giselle looked puzzled.
"I want you to want me..."
"I need you to need me..."
"I'd love you to love me..."
"I'm beggin' you to beg me..."
"I'll shine up my old brown shoes,
I'll put on a brand new shirt
I'll get home early from work
If you say that you love me." Lia sang.

Lia sang Giselle's favorite song. Her cute little performance surprised Giselle and even made her emotional. Lia's performance started slowly from the door and then reached the place where Giselle was sitting up. At the end of her performance, Lia hugged her mother and gave a little peck on her cheeks.
That night Lia slept with her mother. Being under the embrace of her daughter, Giselle slept peacefully.
Next Morning - Time - 8:00 AM
Lia got dressed up for school and waited for her mother. Giselle came out of her room.
"By the way Lia, how did you know about the song?" Giselle asked.
"Father taught me. He told me that it's your favorite song and that you get really happy whenever you listen to it. He also told me when to use this secret weapon." Lia winked at her mother.
Giselle's eyes twitched. She knew that song is one of her happiness as well as her weakness. It can't be helped. Giselle planned to fight back.
"Don't worry. That song WAS my weakness but not anymore." Giselle declared.
Hearing it Lia's heart broke. "Huh, I was planning on to use it on you for many things mother." Lia wept.
"We'll see," Giselle replied.
They both left, next stop to school.
