During the whole ride back home, Shane tried calling her continuously. Lillian didn't respond. She got surprised at her behavior. Behaving reckless and acting coldly to her best friend, Shane. It all made her rethink the situation.

'As soon as she woke up, Lillian's recalled her meeting, chasing, and again meeting Giselle. The girl that she had searched for a long time and finally gave up.

Meeting Giselle after a long time, Lillian imagined something else. However, seeing Giselle ignore her made Lillian angry. She got furious at the thought that the girl who once loved her turned against Lillian now.

The cause of Lillian's anger was Giselle. The woman didn't care enough to ask if Lillian was doing fine without her. It made Lillian's blood boil in rage. However, the feeling of being ignored changed her anger to sadness. Without her knowledge, tears start flowing down her cheeks.

Who knew that all these years, Lillian changed herself and wasted her life by playing around, without looking for any relationship or getting married.

Suddenly, Giselle having a child came across Lillian's mind. She felt pathetic at herself, being the only one to wait for a long time when Giselle moved on in her life. Even she has a kid now.'

It broke Lillian's heart as she felt being alone for the first time. She wanted to go away somewhere far and wanted to hide, never wanting to return to this reality and its pain.

Lillian returned to her place. It was late at night.

As soon as she reached home, she went on to take a shower. She then packed her things on a suitcase, preparing to leave.

However, her mobile continuously rang with Shane's non-stop calling gave her a headache.

She finally decided to give him a callback.

...

"Hello, Lillian!"

"Please Just listen to what I have to say"

"You are injured. The doctor gave me medicine for you to take. Let me come to visit you. Later, we can talk about things that happen-"

Shane's desperate words cut off by Lillian. She wasn't ready to listen to his talks.

"Shane!"

Lillian's voice shut him down at the flash. He got lost in silence waiting for Lillian to continue talking.

"If you're my real friend, then leave me alone."

"If you want me to live on, leave me alone. I don't want to see anyone or anything. Goodbye Shane."

Lillian cut the call immediately and went out with her packed suitcase.

On the other hand, Shane felt discomfort from hearing her words. He never thought Lillian would say such things. His heart ached from Lillian's words. He worried for her.

The flight journey was short but filled with void as Lillian Grey felt lonelier, throughout the whole ride, Lillian kept quiet just gazing outside the view.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to Charleston International Airport. Local time is-"the announcement disturbed Lillian's silence as she reached her destination.

The place still looks the same as usual. Lillian came out and boarded the cab.

She got down at a spot which is deserted away from the city and located on the outskirts near the waterfront. The house itself remains surrounded by a lot of trees and serving great scenic beauty filled with nature. Lillian visited the secluded home and went in to knock on the door.

She knocked thrice and waited for the person to answer.

Soon, the door opened with a person looking at Lillian with a shock.

"Hey" Lillian blurted out; controlling her emotions hardly.

"Lilly" the person replied; still in shock unable to believe what's going on!

"Can I stay here from now on?" Lillian asked hesitantly.

Regardless of her impromptu decision of visiting this place, she also requested the person to allow her to stay there from now onwards.

The person sighed as he smiled warmly and went straight to give Lillian a tight hug.

"Do you have to ask your father like some third person?" the person replied.

"Dad" Lillian embraced her father and rested her head on his chest.

"You're always welcome to stay here, champ."

"Come inside."

The old man, Edwin Grey, Lillian's father welcomed her inside. He seemed to have accepted the sudden surprise. The old guy never stopped smiling as she couldn't let go of his daughter's hand.

"You promised me that you'd visit me often, but look you only need your father when you want to run away, right?" Edwin Grey knew that his daughter's visit isn't a surprise but filled with Lillian being calm than her usual self.

Her father's word stabbed her heart as it won't be able to control anymore.

"Ah. Ah. Fine. Whatever. I am going to take rest now. Let's talk later." Lillian turned around to hide her face. She went upstairs to her room and shut the door locked.
