Tanya* was running. Well, she wasn't running by herself, but it wasn't important. It was still a race!
She was riding a huge beast.
Sport Beasts, as they were called, were special species especially bred to race.
Hers was a giant praying mantis, but let's not talk about it, there was an urgency that needs our attention: Right now, Tanya was racing. A dangerous race.
Today's track was a gigantic of dungeons.
Fortunately, the skill Tanya chose before the race was an impenetrable defense! When the map was revealed, she felt like he for the first time had the possibility to win this race!
While some chose powerful area damage attacks, some chose speed-buffing, Tanya chose to take the only skill that slows down the sport beast of the rider.
Her praying mantis was currently silver in color, slightly reflecting the light of the sun.
The advantage of having a perfect defense in such dangerous places as dungeons is not negligible.
Moreover, in dungeons, speed might kill you instead of helping you.
Tanya's Mantis was running, jumping, strafing and crouching to pass through the dungeon, taking advantage of its impenetrable defense to act as a bulldozer.

Every rider had an augmented reality headset, which included Tanya. On the minimalistic UI were the general direction of the finish line, the place she was at, and the number of riders alive.
This number kept decreasing and she knew that in the end, of the one hundred participants, about ten would be left alive, and only one would win.
Why one hundred?
This is because this was a battle royale reality TV show.
As for the origin of this show…
Someone said PUBG should be a TV show…
Another one said they want another season of my little pony…

Well after the two last centuries, there were no animals as nice as ponies anymore, but the show was still prospering, keeping his place of most watched television show and most watched stream content.
Tanya heard strong sounds as the floor was moving as if there was an earthquake.
She looked on the left, on the right, behind her, but there was nothing around her.
The only place left was…
She looked down, and saw a girl riding a duck.
This duck wasn't big at all, it was… of about the size of a horse.
It was black with red flames.
A style Tanya really appreciates.
On it was a man Tanya recognizes immediately, a friend of her.
Before she had time to compliment the other rider on the style of his new mount, a shadow was cast on her. She looked up once again and saw… an almost weightless dinosaur, jumping as if on the moon.
This dinosaur wasn't some little one. It was the kind of dinosaur you would never believe to be able to fly.
A Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Due to the imagination of riders, always making more ridiculous demands than the previous one, and the evolution of technology, allowing them to create new species out of nothing, some Sport Beasts are much stranger than her giant praying mantis.
-Hey, Blue, you got a new mount, I see!
They were all using code-names, depending of the color of their mount.
Under the headset, it was impossible to see the faces of the riders, so that contributed to them being able to stay anonymous.
-Yeah, you like it? I designed it myself!
-You should design one for me too.
When she said that, her praying mantis shook to express her disaccord.
-Ha ha, don't worry, it's for you.
She then looked up again, and shouted to the dinosaur up there:
-Hey… uuhh… Pi-Pink!
She really couldn't get used to this…
-Yop, Green, how're you?
The voice coming from the top of the pink dinosaur is hoarse and deep.
-Fine, just… can't really get used to it…
-You know it doesn't really matter, I don't care anymore.
The voice said something, but the tone is one of despair, saying the total opposite.
Pink wanted a Black dinosaur, but the company who managed this completed the order wrongly.
He obtained a pink dinosaur and the nickname 'pink' instead of black.
He did a demand to change of color, but someone already took the black, and until now, he didn't die yet. He's even one of the top riders of the show.
As for Blue… he had a new design with a new color, so his demand to change from Blue to Flame was certainly approved.
The rider Flame was killed by Black recently.
With Blue taking the name Flame, Black killing Flame is part of the things, apart from the color of his dinosaur and his nickname, which were making Pink so despaired about changing his name and color.
The worse was certainly that he didn't want any other color than black, part of the reasons of his current predicament.
Now, there was only one man of their team who wasn't here: Squatting Eagle.
It Wasn't his mount, but his actual nickname.
This was because he modified his own body to have an eagle always doing squats on his back.
As for his role in the team…
He was a money bag, an auto proclaimed matchmaker between Green (Tanya) and Blue, and a childhood friend of both of them.
He sent them a message as which he was almost there.
And effectively, he quickly joined them.
Tanya was quite impatient to see what mount he brought today: he changed his mount between every race he did.
This time, he had a… mecha?
The mecha figure was familiar to her: it was the same than her praying mantis, but about fifty times bigger.
Tanya immediately asked him:
-Is it allowed?
-Well not, but my money fixed everything with the management.
He was much too overbearingly rich!
-Oh, and did you and Blue have closer?
-…
He was much too strange for Tanya, so she didn't bother answering.
-Is it fine if I eat you?
-Eat… what???
Tanya was too slow to react when the mecha literally ate her with her mantis.
Inside it, there was something similar to a hangar, as well as a building.
In it, there were multiple mounts.
Tanya left her mount here, and entered the building.
-Can't you ask next time you do something like that, Squatting Eagle?
-Oh, come on, Tanya, you can call me by my real name here, we're hidden from the system!

-Your headset connection is filtered by my mecha, only your position and your vitals are given.
