I don't know if they like THAT much matching their name [1], but I received the invite at exactly midnight yesterday (or this morning).

In this channel, I saw familiar names.

Lower Tier Dragon, Mooncake and that shameless Bai.

Great names I didn't expect to meet.

And… less known names, such as ClemCa.

And… complete strangers I didn't even know existed, like Luciiiaaa~~.

But I somehow understood that these people should be all writers, as all the names there I know are those of authors.

Most of them said things like "Welcome!", "'come" or "Welcooooommmmeeee~~~~~~".

And as I was about to ask about it, someone just told me.

"You better sleep, it'll be a bitter pill to swallow."

It seemed like a good advice. I went to sleep.

It was a Tuesday, so I had school.

This was a day where I learnt a lot of things.

Mostly not the school things though.

Strangely, I didn't feel incredulous at all. It was as if I was the kind of mc that results of the work of a lazy af author… You know these mc who learn that their entire life was a lie, that the world they lived on wasn't the real world and that their worst enemy is their father? Then they are just like "ok, seems legit". It was my actual reaction.

I learnt that the authors were able to write on a special paper that summoned the characters they were writing as long as it was coherent and that their worst enemy was a giant eraser.

Literally.

Like, a FUCKING GIANT ERASER!

Can't they just fight the evil forces endangering natural order?

Instead, I learnt they were fighting one of the antibodies made by that same nature.

I asked them if they managed to write an author or someone able to fix that, but they answered it was impossible.

And after thinking about it, it's quite true.

They are author as well, so they obviously already thought about it.

And I realized it too: a character can't be both coherent and more intelligent or knowledgeable than the author.

They let me one month (seriously that ultimatum is… too typical) to choose whether I join them or not. They said they weren't forcing me, and that I was free to leave if I wanted, but I knew I had no choice. They wouldn't have been spying on me if they trusted me. And if they don't trust me, that means I can't leave with important information about them. And as no human in the world is intelligent enough to edit the brain, they can't delete the memories of what they told me.

Then, there's only death left for me. There're enough authors specializing in evil mcs in the group to kill me a thousand times, the best proof are the characters always following me everywhere. Their killing intent is strong.

I said I'll think it through tomorrow and I'll do it.

I asked them for a paper to replace me at school. I wrote a character similar to me.

Without even talking about the power of the paper itself, its absorption capacity is incredible. Each time you complete a page, all the ink is in a way absorbed by it. Then you can start over on the same paper. A pain though that a page can only make one character…
