As I stopped pressing his wound to get the medicine, his blood continued to spurt out, but even so, I went to give him that medicine.

If you take too much of this pill in a short time, the side effects will be much worse.

It’s the same even if it’s processed with water magic.

Still, who can say that incoming enemy soldiers won’t have magic stones on them.

“I will do the rest, so you should focus on the enemy.”

The fact that my magic is the most suitable to destroy the magic stones is guaranteed in the novel.

Even Atlas isn’t sure if his magic can do the same, as their magic is not suitable for combat.

I urge Atlas to hurry as if holding back the tears in my eyes.

“It’s okay, if I can’t find it, I’ll just burn them all to the ground.”

The only drawback of using fire magic is its power depends on the environment.

So in order to use fire magic even in a bad environment, utmost control must be applied, or else it will go out of control.

But this is almost always ignored in a battlefield.

So now, all I will do today is to burn the enemies down to ashes.

Atlas’ eyes understood the meaning behind my words.

“You didn’t…”

“They asked for it so I can’t do anything but to comply. Now, I won’t lose”

A sorcerer suffering from pain begs for my magic.

To protect him, I have to point my magic to him and end his life.

As my vision return, my eyes become wet to the point I can no longer hold it in.

The target right now returned from my enemy, to my comrades, and back to my enemies.

It ignites the flames for those who are attacking, and those asking for salvation.

“So please, give me more medicine”

I am not a water mage so I can only burn.

As Gil-sama once said, I can only go with the grudges.

As I cover my mouth with my hand, Atlas gripped my hand and looked at my battered body and shook his head.

“Don’t do it.”

“Is your magic powerful enough to deal with the magic stones?”

“Isn’t it the same with you?”

Looking at his beautiful eyebrows, a frustrating emotion arose.

Right now, no one else but me can destroy those magic stones, there is also not much known about those stones as well.

However, time is running out fast and a distorted smile crept up to my lips.

“Oh yeah…You don’t know yet”

The words that were unconsciously spoken were said and Atlas glare pierced me sharply.

My mouth slipped.

The magic stone is destroyed once you poured a certain amount of mana into them.

Although it’s such an easy thing, it’s still not yet known in your country.

Even though Gil-smaa must prove he can destroy the stones first, if he finds out how to destroy them, the information will be relayed to the military.

Oh, but.

When will Gil-sama be able to destroy the magic stones? Did it happen in the novel I read?

“Origa, what do you know?”

Am I reflected in this person’s eyes? This figure of “Maiden of Fire”? When I pursed my mouth and refuse to answer, Atlas spoke with his piercing glare at me.

“I know you don’t trust me but I don’t want to implicate you, my precious friend any more than this.”

Why do you see me with such pitiful eyes?

I’m not pitiful at all.

Why do you say such insincere words?

Anyway, you are here to get rid of me.

Why are you against the trap os justice?

“I will take more medicine, so you don’t need to fight anymore.”

The waves of emotion can no longer be held back.

“You can say that, but what can you do?!”

The high pitched scream echoes in the forest.

Why is this so frustrating?

Atlas was given a setting where he will lead a good life as Gil-sama’s best friend.

On the other hand, what was given to me was the role of hurting the hero and rebelling against the country at the cost of hurting many people.

I don’t want anyone who doesn’t understand to deny this move.

I don’t want anyone who can’t do anything to deny my role.

“Avoid being tormented…? Let me fight! I have to fight anyway no matter what I do! The past, present, and future are all already decided! Because I was born as “Origa”, if I do it all and everything goes well, my death then will not be in vain. I know it all, I remember it all!”

It is not scary to live as a villain, kill a person and then die as a villain.

Because I know the weight of the villain’s death to the hero.

I know that’s an important event for this story to lead to a happy ending. That’s why, only I can do this.

“But I made a mistake”

There’s a voice that keeps blaming me inside my head.

Harvester-sama will not die if not because of me

Atlas will never take any action if not because of me

Many sorcerers will not die in this battle if not because of me

The story that I know form the novel is slowly getting off track.

Then this villainous existence that is me, what role am I supposed to play now?

Then, I should just die right?

“Eveything….I….It’s my…!”

“Calm down Ori!”

The thoughts inside your head reveal their ugliness.

Protecting sorcerers and then killing this “villainous god”, sleeping and dreaming peacefully on the bed, an unreachable dream, hands dyed red with blood, and pain slamming on your head. The story has begun to be different. At the end of this journey, the hero walks on a royal path. This ending is no longer the novel’s but this is reality.

I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.

If you look at what’s happening.

If you come and see this reality.

The enemy soldier have pounced crazily at Atlas, but he was struck down by his powerful arms and fell on his butt.

Trying to get up, I saw something moving at the corner of my eye.

“……Huh?”

Something came flying towards Atlas’ body and with a dull sound, his body fell in the ground with a pool of blood under it.
